cool is subjective after all. cool to me is someone who is genuine and interested in me. but in this case, it's probably that they're "high status" and care free/fun take those same guys and drop them downtown in your local big city, and they're no longer cool as it relates to their status/attitude. in that context, the cool people are sharp, high powered business executives. ​
