I thought that was an interesting example of how it is testosterone, not genetics directly, that causes the differences between the genders. The sry gene is only really responsible for forming male gonads, the rest is a result of the different testosterone levels. During sex development the genes determine which gonads are formed (testes or ovaries) and then the external genitalia and secondary characteristics are determined by the level of testosterone.
