No, vomiting doesn't lower blood alcohol content. It will stop you from getting drunker as you are removing the alcohol in your stomach that hadn't been absorbed. If you were joking please disregard.

I would say the higher ground is that an individual's rights to bodily autonomy and freedom of movement should not infringed based upon another person's opinion. The existence/non-existence of cultural appropriation or its morality is irrelevant.

Is it even worth it to debate if dreadlocks are cultural appropriation? Isn't arguing about appropriation giving it some legitimacy as justification in other cases? Everyone has the right to wear their hair however they choose regardless of where that style originated.

A Rape On Campus was about a woman lying to a reporter, not about gang rape. Correction: The "A Rape on Campus" article put forth an account of gang rape that was called out by later articles and internet postings that were about a woman lying to a reporter.

There is nothing wrong with asking questions. Its not as if you are being snarky about it or asking loaded questions. From South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault Erection or ejaculation are physiological responses that may result from mere physical contact or even extreme stress. These responses do not imply that you wanted or enjoyed the assault and do not indicate anything about your sexual orientation. Also, a man can get an erection while unconscious or in a semi-conscious state, where …

Sorry to hear that. I kind of feel that same way due to my past involvements with women. I've had some that ended badly, and some that ended so-so. I'm that not crazy about the idea of another relationship myself. When talk about it people say, "you just haven't found the right one". I am the one who filed for divorce, no children. No alimony, but due to her high conflict nature, everything in the divorce had to be redone 3 times and that ran up the legal bills. Ironically over the course a the 7 year marriage she said she wanted a divorce several times, but as soon as I stopped fighting and said "OK", she did a 180 and everything was fine again for a few months. I'm kind of proud of the fact that the only time I said that I wanted a divorce, I meant it.

It seems like for the most part, women don't really want to have to deal with a man's feelings. From my personal experiences there are two extremes of this, either a hostile reaction or non-acknowledgement. I've had experience with women who say that they wanted me to express my feelings and none really accepted them. One tried to argue them away and told me to "stop whining", on the other end of the spectrum, another acted as if I said nothing and carried on as was before. In general, the rest …

She made very good points in a well thought out and in a polite manner. Yet, I was annoyed at here repeating that her statements weren't an attack on Anita's views. It seems like if you have keep on telling people that you're not on the offensive for just stating a differing opinion, then you're not involved in a rational conversation. I believe that this detracts from the debate and its really unneeded from anyone who presents their opinions in the way that she did.

If the OP's gym is like mine, people leave equipment in various states that make you wondering if they're done. After a few times of asking everyone nearby if they're using the squat rack left with the fully load bar, you start making educated guesses. My gym's full of inconsiderate jerks (male & female) who don't re-rack their plates when done or wipe their nasty sweat off benches, because hey, they just don't care. I think that the identities of the the accusers and the accused in all criminal cases should not be made public until after the verdict or at least until an actual trial begins. I believe this would protect those who are the victims of any crime as well as deter people from using the criminal courts as a weapon. The fact of the matter is that any person can be accused of a crime, but that alone should not mean that that should have their name dragged through the mud by the court of public opinio…

I don't think the issue with divorce is the reasons for it. I think the issue is the way that resources are divided or financial support is required without consideration for the the cause of the divorce. I don't think anybody who doesn't want be married should have to be so, but that doesn't mean that they get the take half of the other person's assets too.

First of all, if you don't want people request citations for statements of facts you make on public forums, then don't make that those statements. Or, at the very least along include that you have no sources to backup what you just said. I said no already. Incorrect, you demanded that I proceed to dig through the internet to find backing for your statements.
/r/MensRights27/02/13 07:13 PM

Providing a source gives me the chance read information that you have. It gives me the chance to educate myself. Saying, "it's not my job to educate you", is a dismissive tactic. Your refusal provide a source is analogous to this: Me: I read X in book You: Which book? Me: Go to the library. You:Ya, I know its in the library, but with some many books there I may not be find the one you read. Even looking for the subject you mentioned, it will still be unlikely that I will find the book you quoted…

I am not sitting on my arse just waiting for lazy bums to come up and demand me to work for them You went onto a public forum and made a statement, its upon you to provide the backing for that. Its not an education, its providing a source which can be used for verification. Having a source to cite adds validity to your statements. If you don't have a source, you're just talking out your arse. Just so you know how life works, saying "Google it" isn't providing a source.
/r/MensRights27/02/13 06:15 PM

Also, the OP needs to examine the roles of male & female officers outside of this one incident. If the number of male and female office assigned to roles of on-foot patrol vs. mounted-patrol (am I using the correct terminology?) is not representative of the percentages of male and female officers in the force, this could serve as an example, but not proof.

First of all, I'm not a lawyer, but you should get a formal parenting plan and get everything else in writing. This means that you want to keep the house, you'll need to pay her half the value the equity that you have in it. Well, it sounds like you have two choices; get the vasectomy and prepare for divorce, or don't and live in what seems like a loveless marriage with a person that feels that its OK to threaten legal action and withhold affection as means to control you. Rewrite your paper and include numbers and statistic with citations in MLA Format. If necessary, print out your sources. Even then, they may escalate it. Be prepared for push back and be sure that you have backing for everything you write. Even though you are passionate about this, you are not trying to state a personal opinion, but to put forth an statement supported by facts. Also, add a link to a copy of you paper in your post.

I don't think the average person who is unenthusiastic about being a soldier can be molded into a good one. Not really, for few reasons. First, women can buy condoms, too. When a man uses a condom, it prevents pregnancy in a woman. There is no guarantee that genetically testing the child will lead to the father being discovered. That doesn't mean reasonable efforts shouldn't be made to find out who may or may not be the father. Also, my point was not to create a straw man but, to illustrate that if we are not going to care about who actually is the father, then it becomes arbitrary. If we are not based on proof what is it going to be based on?
/r/MensRights02/05/12 01:38 PM
3

Usually, when a test show that one guy isn't the father, the mother has other candidates. It would be a process of elimination. A DNA test that rules out one man as a father would be the first step to getting support from the real father. Once paternity is established then it may become a legal matter. That is another issue. Also, I never implied that the "random man" would be moving in, just be assigned parental responsibility. The are many fathers that don't get to live in the same house becau…

Knowing who the child's biological father is can provide a lot of information about hereditary conditions. Shouldn't the child have the right to the support of its real father. If not, then why not assign men at random to be the "father"?
/r/MensRights01/05/12 08:16 PM

Birth certificates are documentation of the assessment of paternity. The difference is that its based on an assumption.
/r/MensRights01/05/12 07:45 PM

There is no reason that the source material from the parents or the child would have to remain on record after the results were documented. Also, we obtain blood types from babies. Do you think that should stop, too?

/r/MensRights01/05/12 06:47 PM

Its not any more "state-orientated" than specifying the father on the the birth certificate. The only difference is that instead of making assumptions, it will be based on fact.
/r/MensRights01/05/12 06:45 PM
18

I think that a DNA test should be standard for every live birth. Its not that expensive and will save the guy from having to deal with the mother who doesn't want the test.

Meant to respond to someone else; multiple browsers open. To your post. Its a red herring. The article linked by the OP focuses on PUA's, what they do, and psychology regarding that. The fact that non-PUA's may go out with the intention meeting a woman does not make the article about men's rights.

Check out the FAQ on r/atheism. Atheism is a lack of belief in a deity or deities. An atheist can be gnostic or agnostic about that belief.

Better story in the comments: A week or two after I broke up with my ex (at which point she hit me in the face with a wrench, which isn’t even the point of this story), she came over to my house after a 3am coke binge and literally punched through my front window upon realizing that loudly banging and screaming weren’t enough to get me to answer (I wasn’t home at the time). She sliced up her hand and had to go to the hospital. The next day, officers came to my house to arrest me for domestic abu…

It's true that you'll be less likely to have deal with the borderline personality disordered types because it mostly in women, but you'll be more likely to get a narcisist dating men. The thing that really is in your favor is that society doesn't teach that it's your responsibility to let another man treat you like shit or that you should make excuses for their bad behaviors.

Start here: http://shrink4men.wordpress.com/2010/04/26/how-do-i-divorce-my-abusive-wife/. In fact, start reading through the articles at http://www.shrink4men.com/index/. It will help you determine what level of crazy you're dealing with. Even then its going to be hard. Good luck.

FTA his ex-wife Traci Tucker, who divorced him three years into his life sentence The article didn't say if she was already seeing someone else before the divorce. Either way, I don't think that she's entitled to anything.

TL;DR: A man spend 25 years in jail, divorced 20 years ago & the EX thinks she's entitled to a cut of this compensation. FTA Phillips said his ex wife rarely visited him in prison and stopped coming altogether after three years. And ex has been with another man for over 20 years

I'm of two minds on this. First, I don't think that one should censor themselves because someone feels offended. Free speech should mean that you can use any words you want so long as it does incite harm (e.g. shouting "fire" in a crowed theater). On the other hand, I refrain from using terms like, "cunt", "fag", "bitch", "dick", etc. I think that they are forms of ad hominem attack and using them causes your argument to loose credibility. I think this is especially true when dealing with those …

Its not a men's right issue. Its about people staying in relationships that they don't believe will work. Just because an issue involves men, doesn't make it a men's right issue. You're reading way too much into this article if you think it has anything to do with men's or women's rights.

I hate to says, but a lot of guys stay in relationship they don't think will work. This is more a relationships issue than a men's rights issue.

This article's example of a "good" men's rights group is The Good Men Foundation which has the Good Men Project, a site that essentially a front for feminist shills. So, their idea of a "good" MRA is one who panders to feminist. If you want a prime example what I mean check out the post titled, I May Have a Son, but I’ll Never Know for Sure, if you haven't already.

Its natural for humans, or most other animals, to want to have their own offspring. Nobody should be thought less of for wanting to have their own child. That being said, if you suspect the child isn't yours you shouldn't let it die, as did the mentioned woman in the article did. That woman should be in jail.

There is no reason why men wouldn't be susceptible to social pressure which is a cause of this disorder. More common in men is Adonis Complex (muscle dysmorphia), where a person sees themselves as not muscular enough. BTW, its still called anorexia if a male suffers from it.
