Work on the things you can and don't focus on the things you can't, it is really that simple. Top male models such as David Gandy, Sean O'pry, and Simon Nessman make large sums of money for major high-fashion and luxury houses, yet they are paid far less than the Cara's and Dunn's of the industry. Fast fashion ≠ High fashion/ luxury Please don't take sound bits from the John Oliver video and apply it to the luxury industry. Its is not the same thing. Almost all luxury fashion houses manufacture in highly specialized areas of Europe and are tightly regulated with artisans, unlike lines such as Zara and H&M who use sweatshops. And the fashion industry is not the modelling industry, please understand the difference.

Teaching doesn't pay particularly well, thats true. But as others mentioned there are higher paying niche sectors in nursing that are very lucrative. Unfortunately being a nurse has some sort of social stigma around it (so much so that society brands it 'male nurse').
