Idk. I kinda figured that when sex and relationships are so easily available, you figure out more quickly that they aren’t all that satisfying if you’re not tending to yourself.

You’re totally minimizing the abuses male gamers hurl at each other. Death threats abound. Maybe you’re just attached to feeling like your experience is worse. You’re not at any more risk than any other male gamers threatening each other from afar.

I’m not a gamer, but pretty sure getting verbally abused in online games is par for the course for everyone.

Again, that’s your definition and I’m not making a case against it. Just saying there are a great many people who are much more lax in whom they consider a creep, and some would call you creepy for walking a little funny or not using the right slang or some ridiculous shit like that.

Just because they volunteer to be used by you doesn’t mean it’s not still shitty to play along. This whole post reads exactly like Trump’s “grab ‘em by the pussy” spiel. The moral perversity justified by feminism these days is obscene. Being a decent person means not acting like a cunt because you don’t want to be a cunt. Whether an act is right or wrong remains the same no matter whom you do it to.

I’m ok with some high emotionality and neediness, because I understand those. I much prefer someone who occasionally hurls verbal abuses at me to someone who lies. In my book, you’re a better person if you let others know exactly where you stand in an abusive way than if you’re just never quite honest with people.

Great point. Agreed, it’s a natural inclination of both men and women. But the question remains whether one sex has a significantly stronger inclination toward hypergamy. My anecdotal experience leads me to suspect that, yes, women are the greater offenders in this regard. There are biological and historical reasons this might be the case. Women are simply far less physically powerful, and therefore have much greater need of protectors. High-status men tend to make the most effective protectors.…

Just pointing out a relevant fact, grumpy missy. Your comment could be taken to imply an equivalence that just doesn’t hold. Regardless, even the top earners aren’t making anywhere near as much as a median female cam-girl.

Sad, but I believe to some extent necessary. Not arresting an innocent person for rape needs to take precedence over making an already horrible situation slightly worse.

People are just—whether they know it or not—using sex as representative of attachment needs. And yes, every one of those consequences you mentioned absolutely usually comes down to unfulfilled attachment needs. And yes, our society absolutely takes men’s attachment needs less seriously.

This is just anecdotal, from dealings with both men and women, but when it comes to heterosexuals, it’s more often the women who are into—indeed, need—the rough sex. Guys are typically not independently comfortable with all the choking and shit. Also, your claim that most men soliciting e-girls are married is simply patently, delusively false. Just an absurd claim.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/20 06:34 PM

This doesn’t necessarily stand up. I think it could be argued there’s good reason for extra suspicion in rape claims, given that slandering one’s ex is incredibly common.

The problem is, many people equate normal police interrogation with “accusations of lies or manipulation.” Obviously, police interrogation itself does need reform—at least with respect to suspected perpetrators, not sure how it differs when it comes to victims. But in figuring out whether an accusation of rape holds weight, investigators need to be rigorous and thorough. And in order to do that, they need to seriously entertain the idea that you might be lying. It may suck for the alleged victim…

I find both fds and red pill pretty ridiculous and resentment fueled. If you ask me, any successful dating “strategy” (ugh) would have to focus more on similarities between men and women than differences.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/20 09:29 PM
1

Actually, yeah, it is. I should’ve said it more like: our culture has no qualms about anyone returning a blow dealt by a man, but expects nothing less than perfect stoicism from a man who’s a victim of a woman dealing the the first blow against him.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/20 08:57 PM
1

It’s still just one instance even if it is true. I referenced studies demonstrating this one claim: when it comes to throwing the first blow, women do it just as often. And honestly, if you stoop to that level, don’t be surprised when you get clocked back. No man has the entitlement to go around hitting people and not expect some comeuppance.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/20 06:26 PM

Those aren’t considered the same, though. Your example isn’t even anecdotal, but almost certainly a misunderstanding of an anecdote. If you’re at all familiar with the Duluth Model, it’s enshrined into law to arrest the more muscular party (I.e., the man) in any domestic abuse situation. No way in hell a woman was “convicted” for screaming. Perhaps she was arrested, even charged, but you had to have missed something. I’m calling bullshit unless you can provide something even close to a source. S…

You’re right, domestic abuse and adultery are extremely common. But it’s also true that they’re roughly as common among women as among men. Granted, women are significantly more likely to be seriously injured or killed. But not because they have purer souls. They just have smaller weaker bodies. One need only open any social media to see how vicious people irrespective of gender are.

Well, to put things in context, this sub is devoted to debates among “pillers” and others who are caught up in all this weird mechanistic discussion about dating online. So the male crowd here is bound to skew in favor of men who...spout weird mechanistic ideas about dating. The women do it too. Your comment offers some examples. Some of us aren’t so convinced we have the sexes figured out after a handful of disappointing experiences.

Well, hold up now with that “yeah... it tends to be.” Seems you’re pretty eager to assume all men are on their way to mgtow. Idk where you’re spending your time but it’s perfectly obvious to me that the vast majority of us aren’t even aware of the “manosphere.” There’s just a bunch of sad-ass people of both sexes whose entire lives have revolved around social media so they become, male or female, shitty delusional human beings.

I definitely care about their dogs. For one, people who life animals are almost invariably kinder than people who don’t. Two, my dog has a potential playmate. Three, how that dog acts tells me a lot about her. An untrained dog is a maaajor turnoff. Especially when they get mad at the dog for not doing what they haven’t taught it. An obedient and happy dog tells me you know how to understand what’s going on in minds very different from your own.

I don’t have those thoughts when I see those people. In fact my experience has led me to believe such people tend to be vapid, narcissistic, and insufferable. I see an exec or a model and my immediate inclination is to think I wouldn’t want a relationship with them.

I’m a man who does harbor a lot of the same hurt and resentment toward women that red-pillers do, but I really don’t gibe with the mechanistic way they talk about women and relationships. They seem to be talking strictly about a specific kind of immature person (that can be female or male) who’s just running on unconscious impulses. I think it’s also significant that, if they have a bad time, they have someone to pin it on other than themselves. In my experience with (admittedly deeply emotionally immature) women, they’ll pull the wildest acrobatics to avoid feeling bad about themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/20 06:26 PM

Actually, you can’t “prove” anything in science. In inductive logic, which is what empirical science works with, you can only falsify claims, not conclusively verify them. And in any case, just because it’s more difficult to achieve conclusive data in the soft sciences doesn’t mean the data is useless. My point is, feminist literature has to rely on the same sense-making tools that any other discipline does, but so often it defaults to relying on shoddy dismissals (like yours) of those tools.

Well, I’m sure if you’re a straight woman, your “life experience” is naturally going to be biased toward scenarios like you describe. The people you date are men, and as a woman you more readily understand women’s points of view. But meanwhile, most straight men’s life experience, for the same reasons, are going to affirm the opposite: that it is more often women using men for something. Yeah, I don’t agree with any of that either. It’s all pretty ridiculous. But the OP opened the doors for a much wider application of bans. I doubt this thread would look anything like it does now if the OP focused on specific inflammatory misinformation like this.

I guess that makes some intuitive sense. I’ve never really been much involved in groups of female friends so haven’t seen this kind of drama play out, but can say that it’s not embarrassing at all among most guys if it came out that you sent a dick pic or something

It’s baffling to me how seemingly the majority of women just don’t understand how inconsiderate this is. Yes, it’s easy enough for me to realize she’s not interested, and just walk away. But I had to learn that, and I would’ve learned it so much sooner if only there’d been more basic communication. It doesn’t take much at all, and it can save someone a whole lot of confusion.

No one “owes” it to me not to kick me in the balls either. Every time I hear this “owes” line, it’s about excusing plainly inconsiderate behavior. Just be decent: if you’re going to talk to me, thereby encouraging me to believe you’re harboring some interest, make some effort. Otherwise just don’t talk. Better yet, simply explain you’re not interested. It’s very easy to do, and to my mind anyone who brushes off such basic acts of consideration as not “owed” is in fact the entitled one.
