There was a study posted here recently that tracked genetic influence of male and female ancestry. They got a coefficient varying from 1.1 in East Asia to 1.4 in West Africa, where 1 is full monogamy, and the greater the value the bigger disparity between males reproductive success. Those numbers suggest monogamy being prevalent in human societies, and it's not a recent phenomenon but dates back to earliest hominids. Monogamous humans is the scientific consensus. Human polygamy, hypergamy, alpha…

While the promiscuous woman is preferred for casual sex due to her experience and easiness to get in bed, the same is not true about marriage. When a man is looking for a wife, his prioritize change - he will select for attributes that make for a good wife - the opposite of the promiscuous woman Yet when a woman thinks like this, RP guys here all cry about AF/BB...

Women intentionally avoid men and do not like having male friends. What kind of women do you know? Serious question, this point above sounds absurd to me.

If he wants commitment, he'll likely try to get you into his hobbies. He'll want to do non-romantic activities together. He'll spend time with you without doing anything to impress you.

I'm a man and it happened to me once. She didn't even outright give me her number, she asked me to hand her my phone cause hers was dead, entered a number and returned it saying "here's my number". I felt incredibly flattered and still remember it years later, but obviously didn't call her.

Looking at that profile I almost regret not being gay. Seriously though, this showcases a problem with online dating. You can see tons of people here making some WILD assumptions about this guy "He wants to casually and spontaneously plan a week to Thailand" "He looks like the kind of guy who would judge you for wanting to stay in bed on a weekend." "It seems like he’d judge or leave for something as small as monthly period bloat if you weren’t up to his standard" "he looks like the type of guy …

This is why I'm not subscribing to RP. Reading this sub, I constantly remind myself how for every RP guy saying that women are incapable of love and only pursuing a 666 man, there's someone like OP saying the same bullshit about men. Short answer: no.

The 6.1-4.2 difference doesn't make sense. Every opposite sex partner a man has means an opposite sex partner a woman has, so these numbers must be equal. EDIT: Actually not true, I didn't notice it said "median" This is a self reporting bias. Men overestimate the number of partners they've had. Now, the other statistics you brought (5 or more partners in 12 months) would actually support the claim that a minority of men (so called chads) have most of sexual activity out there.

I want to be desired. That's why I work out (it's not the only reason, but it's an important one, even if few gym goers will openly admit it). I want to be seen as a sex object*. I remember reading an article by a bisexual guy. His first time with another man was groundbreaking, cause he felt desired for the first time. Prior to that women would only say "you make me feel good". That doesn't make a man feel desired, it only means he's doing a good job. His ugly male body is merely tolerated as a…

I find them stupid. Sure, you can create any exclusionary spaces you want and I won't stop you, but I will judge you. If you feel the need to separate yourself from the other gender, you need a therapy, not a safe space.

Muscular has nothing to do with "bad boy". Go to any gym and most guys there are pretty laid-back, friendly and not aggressive. Women like athletic men because fit body is a sign of good health and good genes, nothing groundbreaking about it. Men are into athletic women too, for the same reasons (inb I'm not talking about steroid pumped bodybuilders, but natural gym goers, sort of like this)

I'm a guy on the opposite side of the spectrum. I was skinny my entire life and in recent years I went from 19 BMI to 24. I feel that I have easier time making friends than a couple years ago. I can't tell how much of that is due to improved physique and how much it's improves social skills. Probably a little bit of both. I now occasionally get compliments from men and suggestive jokes from women, and I'm still getting used to it. I don't know about sexual appeal, cause I don't pursue hookups. O…

Muscle and fat mass changes face too. Look at progress pictures of guys who got in shape. I don't know if chemicals in food have significant effect on bone structure, but I know getting in shape has a surprisingly big effect on face.

Men are not a hivemind lol It's often different people taking these two stands. But plating devil's advocate for those who take both stands at once. They want a woman to be attracted to them specifically. If she's usually picky, but is attracted easily to that one guy, that bodes well for the relationship.

Women are in the gym more? The male to female ratio i see in the gym is close to 10:1. I'd really appreciate if women started to actually take care of themselves for real. That is, go out and exercise, eat healthy, limit alcohol. Getting all dolled up for the evening isn't worth shit, it's just a false front.

Obesity is not a good evolutionary trait. Health issues aside, they would be poor hunters. Especially since prehistoric humans walked and ran huge distances. Lean athletic bodies make best hunters.

Being "normal BMI range" does not automatically make you attractive. Your fat deposits in a really unflattering way, so you need more muscle than a regular guy to look decent. Work out your upper body to counter-balance those hips.

They aren't really like that. The dating culture may not be perfect, but most people manage to find and build relationships. TRP and FDS are a small subset of unsuccessful men and women venting their frustration online.

Yes, I believe that the most attractive faces are those that are mostly perfect, but with a couple of minor flaws. The flaws aren't big enough to turn the whole face ugly, but they attract attention and make us remember the person.

I don't have a shopping list of requirements. Compatible personality and somewhat good looks. What is "compatible personality"? I don't know. We may "click" or we may not and it's hard to break it down to a list of traits. It may be an extroverted social butterfly, or a gentle introverted bookworm, or a rebel punk girl, or... There's more than one recipe for a tasty dinner and there's more than one recipe for a great girlfriend.

Average height includes people of all ages, and previous generations were shorter than now. In other words, nobody's hiding, you are just actually below average height in your age bracket.

The disagreement here comes from different goals and strategies. Both a general approach and individual approach have their uses and neither is inherently better or worse, they just have different uses. General approach is better when you're playing a numbers game and want to get as many women as possible. But you could increase the chances you win your bet from, say, 80% to 90%, if you analyze this one specific case and identify exceptions to the rules. It just takes effort and is not compatibl…

Nothing in this list is unreasonable. But the list itself is, if every single thing on it is a hard requirement. Like, if she rejects a perfect guy because he doesn't want a pet, that's quite ridiculous. It's good to know what you want, but you're setting yourself up for failure if you're not willing to accept any flaw at all. Maybe he's an honest caring guy, who's been taught not to show emotions and needs some help warming up. Maybe he's got a stable job, but is unsure about his future. Maybe …

I mean, there's an infinite list of topics to talk about: hobbies, work, travels, politics, relatives, philosophy... It's good to lighten the atmosphere with a joke now and then, but I find it boring when you can't have a serious discussion with someone, only an endless exchange of jokes.

Additionally, if you take two merely identical women and one takes care of herself while the other one does not, well, try to guess which one is going to be more popular. The latter. The former will be ignored for being too high maintenance ;)

Overall I've seen more fat guys than skinny guys have an attractive gf. Being skinny makes you look weak and emasculated. Fat can pass for strong even if he has zero muscle. Some women just want to feel small next to a guy and if they can't get a buff dude, they'll go for a fat one.

Yes and no. The perfectly average face may be a perfect 8, but they won't be anyone's 10. They'll go largely unnoticed. A 10 is someone with no significant flaws, but with some visual quirks that catch people's interest. For example, Natalie Dormer's fucked up eyes and lips make her oddly beautiful, and more attractive than a computer generated composite image of 1000 faces.

Do you only hangout and talk regularly with people you are in a relationship with? It doesn't prevent from moving on if both parties know and agree it's in the past. I think it's a healthy and mature way to do.

I believe physical and mental attraction are both required and equally important for a successful relationship. Society has conditioned men to only care about looks and women to not care at all. Or at least pretend to. I think it's based on sexist approach (in both ways) to sexuality: shaming women for sexual needs, demonizing male sexuality as predatory, etc.. It's rooted in outdated ideas of gender roles and does a disservice to both modern men and modern women. Ngl if my gf told me she only l…

I had long hair that I loved for my entire 20s. Recently I had to cut it short because my hairline is receding. I will probably shave it off in 1-5 years, depending on how fast the balding progresses. I always could pass for several years younger (I'm 30 right now), but now the balding pattern is a giveaway. But overall I'm better than 10 years ago, since I've grown more confident, I'm more sociable, I carry myself better and I work out... only that I'm still just as broke...

What do you mean? That being tall is irrelevant or that everything else is irrelevant?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/21 10:31 AM
2

The point isn't to become a polar opposite of your true self, but to improve within the framework of what you already have. It works similar to improving your looks - you can't become taller or fix a crooked nose, but you can always exercise, get a good haircut and wear nice clothes, to get the best out of what nature gave you. So an introverted cynic doesn't have to become an extroverted optimist to be popular, just be the most likeable version of an introverted cynic. Look, Keanu Reeves is an …

I think RedPill's idea of happy relationship is different than yours. I suppose you want a relationship based on mutual respect, attraction and emotional connection. RP want a subservient woman who admires them for social status and trades sexual favors for financial stability. They don't like women, don't want to spend time with them outside bedroom and don't care if they can connect with them emotionally.

It's hard to separate looks and personality when it comes to attraction. People often talk about it as if you could do a simple L+P or L*P equation to determine someone's attractiveness, but in reality these are intertwined. A person we like appears more attractive and vice versa - we tend to attribute good qualities to good looking people. There's numerous studies on this. I think what you call presence is that combination of looks and personality, the point at which they intertwine.
