Because he is a monster with garbage for brains who believes his particular brand of misogyny is somehow more brilliant or unique than the last hundred years' worth He's literally admitted to raping people

Literally all of my female friends report getting tons of shitty messages on OKcupid and tinder among other dating platforms per day and they're all like "show me ur tits" or "die cunt." They handle it pretty well, I think. One, I don't get anywhere neat that volume or kind of response, and two, what the hell are you talking about

Yo hey that's just like your interpretation bro My dates are pretty fun

I see this and I hear "no really, we have great reasons for hating women."

There's no response because it's not an issue where I wave the magic logic wand and dispel your arguments--you start from totally different premises than I do. In my world, I go along doing my thing until I meet someone, say, that I'd like to date, and then I ask them! "Hi, do you want do date!?" And then they say yes or no, and then I move along with my life. That is a super great world to live in. I get to assume that people mean what they say, and not have to think about if they're trying to …

This is really interesting, hearing what you think social skills are from the outside. Go on. Give us some examples.

If it's not a competition, everyone would marry the first person they fancied and no one would ever break up. As /u/terminator3456 already said it in this thread, you guys satirize yourselves better than I ever could.

I don't need to understand 'sexual dynamics' as a world where men and women compete. the whole RP frame is that it's a competition.

No, I just like to do other things with people that have nothing to do with getting laid. And the fact that you'd rather unfurl a sentence full of wacko psuedointellectual bullshit like "moralise an amoral base initiative" than just take me at my word sort of proves my point. I can literally say nothing which will convince you that I like to hang out with women and simultaneously not try to have sex with them, because you'll go back to your room and rub your hands together and say, "yes, sure, b…

The whole mind games aspect. That's so weird. RP mentality interprets everything men and women do under the lens of "they're shit testing" or "they're trying to be alpha." that's the whole spirit of TRP: that human interaction is all a calculated game to win sex or status so you should therefore swallow the pill and learn how to play. That's SO weird. Sometimes people just want to hang out! Sometimes people want to just have a conversation or meet someone new! As a worldview it says a lot more a…

Setting aside you being literally wrong about there not being cabals of power which keep women out (cardinals and the pope, freemansonry, the Boy Scouts), why do you think our society rewards those characteristics with leadership positions and not others? Remember, if your answer is based on "biology" which you have not studied, it's an appeal to authority designed to establish your rightful place in the universe. Instead try and answer why rewarding male characteristics makes for a better socie…

I don't think it's representative at all of the general population, and that's the point. Where are you going with that line of questioning?

You're not hearing me--I'm pro-agenda. Science is not the best of all possible options. I have seen pleeeeeeenty of wacko misogynistic people outright deny other people's lived experiences because they'd rather listen to someone saying numbers than the person right in front of them. bye

My opinion on statistics I don’t think much of anything about statistical claims without a source, and regardless of the numbers (or the methods used to determine those numbers), I’m much more interested in whatever underlying belief would cause a person to cite a given statistic.... if somebody is coming at you with statistics, it’s because they literally have something to prove. Make them prove it and then make them tell you why, because the numbers themselves are almost always less important …

it's funny, it's like women are saying that trust is important, you dismiss that as an unimportant feeling, and then women decide not to like you it's almost as if not being listened to makes people resentful weird

so you do want to end all sexual violence against women? that would clear a lot of things up probably i know you say you can do nothing to change that, but trying to prevent rapes would be a big step and then after that it would be nice if everyone stopped saying things like "rape isn't real, it's just women being afraid for no reason" because sentiments like that definitely do not create an atmosphere of trust

honestly, i have no idea why you'd want to live in a world where everyone had a gun if you literally can't think of another way to express your attraction to a stranger other than by staring at them weirdly from across the room, or by using the social rules of victorian england, I can't help you and neither can reddit

that was a really interesting article, thank you. I had no idea the numbers were so high. obviously we should be against sexual violence for both men and women.

so women are all too stupid to figure that out? nice exit from the sexism bro
/r/MensRights20/05/15 03:44 PM

oh i had no idea that the way to improve gender relations was to ask women to stop feeling so bad about it i thought it would make more sense if we stopped all the violence against women but I guess that's pretty difficult, you're right
/r/MensRights20/05/15 12:36 PM
-32

whoa whoa whoa cowboy nobody's saying you want to rape people just that most of the intra-sex rapes and violence are from men on women so it'd be pretty silly to say that it's not fair lots of women have their guard up since you obviously don't wanna rape anyone, I assume you prioritize creating an atmosphere of equitable relations where everyone feels safe
/r/MensRights20/05/15 12:06 PM
-34

yep you're right women probably never feel like that, unless they're broken inside
/r/MensRights20/05/15 11:34 AM

yeah it's true, but you'd be lying if you said you normally feel like "oh shit I hope this woman doesn't rape me" when encountering a woman which y'know is something that woman have to more or less deal with constantly
/r/MensRights20/05/15 11:29 AM
-22

yeah you're right, women probably just carry their car keys in between their knucks at night because they feel very safe yep they're all probably totally safe and it's just a conspiracy to make men feel bad

if /s means "that guy sucks" then yeah totally
/r/MensRights20/05/15 11:23 AM

Hi! I think I can clear the confusion up for you. The difference is that when men stare at women, there's an underlying threat of violence! Whoa! Usually, if a woman approaches or sexually objectifies a man, men are bigger and stronger and so could physically defend themselves from any unwanted advances. Women usually can't! Wow! We all learned something today. In conclusion, it's weird to stare at women in the gym! Much less weird to go up and say hi.

well. along with the rather long "myths about the family" thing which I'm about to quote, it also outlines how families look in different parts of the world. basically the nuclear family is just one of many, many ways on which to build society's foundation. other possibilities include "substitutability," meaning that a wife's sister or a husband's brother may be substituted in should one spouse die, or families of three generations in china in the same house where the elders are respected but th…

I'm using "nuclear family" in the strict definition here of a single family household with parents and kids, and that's it. If blood relatives also live in the household, the term we import in is "extended family" (I know, very advanced.) In america we take this to mean that the newlyweds go and form their own household and don't live at their parents' house. In lots of other cultures and societies, that's just not the case. should anyone be interested here's kind of a broad sociological introdu…

There's been a lot of research which suggests otherwise. I have to now spend ten minutes scouring the internet for sources, because my sociology classes were many years ago, but naaah I remember reading that it had to do with industrialization and financial stability and blah blah blah something. Lots of societies have more communal households, or have extended family households. Or shit, look at downton abbey! In no way is THAT a nuclear family--that society was based on the single rich househo…

Eh, I tried it when I was in high school. PUA stuff was getting popular at the time and I had some friends who inducted me into it. (did feel a little culty, but whatever) As a virgin it was very exciting to have all these friends who knew was sex was and how to get it, and all the tactics and philosophy behind it seemed a little weird, but it also seemed to work, so I gave it a shot. I'm a friendly person and was a little afraid of sex, and was definitely afraid to express my sexual interest in…

oh, you again. we actually agree on the whole marriage as a steel plate thing, so good on you. The "without nuclear families societies collapse" is not historically accurate at all though. Nuclear families--by which I'm assuming we're meaning mommy and daddy and kiddos in a single household--are a pretty recent innovation.

ahhhhhhh no I was shooting for irony, because it's clear that you have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to gay people; but re-reading what I wrote it does seem to be a joke calling you gay. so sorry for calling you gay as an insult, not sorry for calling you dumb.

that's kind of an interesting idea--guns as crime insurance. if we expand that analogy a little, let's see...both insurance policies and guns are purchased by individuals from private companies for protection of some sort. If there's a state health care policies, does that mean that the police are state crime insurance? Maybe I dunno. The key difference being, I think, is that car insurance doesn't prevent the accident from happening, it just pays out (theoretically...) should someone smash into…

That's not really an answer. Unless you literally watched some videos of ISIS beheading people and immediately afterward decided to buy a gun. I could just as easily cite "novels" and "ingrid michaelson" and "meditation" and "singing kumbaya around a fire with a bunch of other liberal hippy assholes" and "genuine human connection and really good sex" and "gin martinis" as reasons why the world is not in fact populated by savage apes. Be real with me. What led you personally to that conclusion? I…

Huh. I guess I don't feel that way about humanity, so I'm confused. I mean--were I to think that everyone around me was one step away from savage ape, I too would probably own a gun. It sounds kind of stressful, though, feeling like that. Why do you feel that way? What experiences led you to this conclusion?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/15 07:41 PM

Right I am completely aware that you live in a world where not everything is rainbows and sunshine and kumbayaa bullshit. This is why you have a gun. I agree that this is one of many possible rational responses to a world, which you note, is nothing like sesame street. I'm asking why you think buying a gun is a better choice than working on changing that world.

I'm just baffled as why you'd want to live in a society where you have a constant mistrust of literally everyone around you. That sounds terrible. I would much rather live in a society where I can rely on other people to help me out in case I'm in a vulnerable spot, rather than worry about them stealing from me/murderraping me. Like. Why is this your jam. I completely understand why you pack heat and take certain measures to protect yourself, I just don't understand whyyyyyyyyyyy, upon being fac…
