4	young lady considers trying ecstasy. everyone takes the opportunity to let her know that her male friend's intention is to take advantage of her. here is the thing that i don't quite understand. i'm going to assume that most of the people saying "your friend wants to get you high and take advantage of you" and upvoting those statements are guys. i'm also going to assume that they themselves would deny having those intentions if they themselves were placed in the situation. so what compels men to repeat the stereotype? is it because our society has told us constantly since birth that we are dangerous that we find ourselves simply repeating…	/r/MensRights	16/12/09 08:36 AM
1	young lady considers trying ecstasy. everyone takes the opportunity to let her know that her male friend's intention is to take advantage of her. alright not everybody (what would reddit be without hyperbole?) but those comments were getting upvoted quite a bit. i think what irritated me about it was the fact that she provided no information about her herself, her friend, or the situation but people found no problem inventing a story in their heads where some guy was trying to drug and take advantage of this "naive" helpless little girl. that mentality troubles me.	/r/MensRights	16/12/09 07:36 AM
