Gen X will face this problem. Not the Boomers. Boomers will have their retirement paid for by the federal credit card. Western governments can all rack up about 150-200% of gdp in debt before the markets will lend no more. Every western government is currently on this trajectory and can continue it for another 10-15 years. That line of credit will be shut down by the time Gen X and Millenials retire. And they will have to pay the debt one way or another.

Keeping our looks matters dearly to us especially if we haven't been married or aren't currently in LTRs. Not just for wanting to still be attractive but simply being treated younger in daily life feels good. It's like being less experienced or making mistakes is forgiven easier, or we're perceived as more fun and enthusiastic, all that feels awesome. You hope to keep passing for a fun twenty something because you dread the day everyone sees you are a 35 year old child, and not in a good way. Yo…

The "granted" part is not necessary for it to be a privelege. Sometimes it is, other times its inherent in some way. "Granted" implies there was a consensual decision to give the advantage to someone. That's the case sometimes, but other times its junt a result of historical accident/circumstances, or simple application of force. A person can walk into a shop and take something right off the shelf without paying for it if they're the local violent thug everyone is afraid of. It was accepted he h…

Would you be willing to make a physical ordeal equivalent to an abortion be the price paid by a man for avoiding child support obligations? If it were ethically possible to do this almost every guy would agree to that being fair in a heart beat. And barely one guy in a thousand who wanted to abort would even hesitate to go through that ordeal. OTOH would you agree that any guy who has sex with you has the right to hit you up for one of your children and a $700 bill monthly bill for raising them?…

In the past attractive young women could go to at most one or two clubs/parties per night. And attractive men used to have the same limits. Back in the day even NBA players had to hang out in a bar until late in the evening in order to get laid. Now they just browse hundreds of girls on intagram and dm the ones they're interested in. They've found the most attractive girls in town and had them deliver themselves to their hotel room as easy as pizza. Also the culture has changed. It used to be gu…

The objective value of raising a child doesn't really matter in this context. What matters is how this process is perceived, which is the point of the whole post. You're contradicting yourself. You say that feminism is not responsible for the devaluing of femininity. And then point to attitudes towards motherhood as an example. But those attitudes are a new thing. Prior to feminism motherhood, and indeed femininity were extremely highly valued. Almost all of your post seems to assume your own at…

continuing existence of constitutional amendments The US does not have any constitutional amendments protecting women's right to work or any women's rights at all. There was a proposal to put it into the constition, but eventually it lost support since it would have made drafting only men unconstitutional amongst many other unwanted side effects. Some hardcore feminist still support an equal rights amendment but most don't.

Its easily possible to be stoic and fun. Stoicism means not lettitng your situation dictate your emotions. You win the lotto, you don't get over the top excited. Your child dies, you don't let that make you depressed and unable to futnction. It does not mean being grim and serious all the time. During the blitz of Britain of WWII Londeners famously went about their business as normally as possible despite having bombs dropped on them most nights. The dimensions they use to measure gender differences are willingness to take risks, patience, altruism, positive and negative reciprocity I'm not even sure what those mean in practice for more feminine behaviour. They don't seem to explain what those differences are anywhere in their paper. It certainly does not directly mean anything what people stereotypically imacine as feminine. They also struggle to differentiate between how "feminist" (gender equal) and how wealthy they are. They've tried…

ConnorMurphy gets strong attentdon from a subsection of women who have that particular fetish. The vast majority of women strongly prefer a much less muscled man. Parts of Adriana Lima are stunningly attractive to men. Her face and attitudeand long legs. Her body is very attractive and not too far from the ideal. But if she were naked in a porno with a less attractive face her body on its own would not stand out and would get less attention from the vast majority of men than a bustier, bootier t…

Men's body image is a seperate thing to what women find sexually attractive. Men want things for their body that women think are unattractive. They still want them even when they know women find them unattractive. So men work unbelivably hard to get those grotesquely over muscled bodies you see on body builder magzine covers. And their superheroes often have bodies more like the Hulk. The same thing happens with women's ideal body image. Women genurally esteem model's bodies. Very tall and thin,…

You also have to remember there wee multiple rape stories pushed hard by the national media that turned out to be completely false, and some were even ridiculous in hind sight. The media's credibility is very low today. So even if every major media outlet is pushing a specific metoo story most people are just treating that as something people are saying rather than anything authoritive. The entire media has fallen down to just another person's opinion in the eyes of the public. The low standard …

Half the senior democrats have pics of them smiling with Harvey Weinstein and/or spent time on the lolita express. The feeling in the country is that all the insiders knew what Weinstein was doing so no-one can credibly claim their friendship with Weinstein means nothing. every [top 5%] man has a 'crazy' (e.g. insecure and clingy) ex girlfriend. Just insert that "[top 5%]" in front of the word man every time you see a post like this and it makes sense. The other 95% of guys don't exist in their mind so when they say "men" you have to mentally re-word what they said like that so you know what they are talking about.

Threads like these are what I like about PPD. You have logical women explaining what they want without filtering themselves. Its like accidentally opening a door into exactly what many women are subconsciously thinking and having them explain what you see for you as well. Especially when you know the basic pattern. This is what I want This is what you need to feel/believe/do for me to get it. Its nice when its stated explicitly like op has done here. Most of the time women communicate these extr…

Pretty much everything a "nice guy" does is a man trying to use feminine methods of interacting with people. Expecting to be accepted by groups just for being nice to people intead of proving himself. Being covert and coy about being attracted to a woman and hoping that just being her friend and supporting her will make her fall in love with him. Being unassertive and covert about what he wants and hoping people will read his mind and just give it to him. Being afraid of being loud, assertive an…

Its one of the fundamental differences between boys and girls. For some reason boys are extremely sensitive to role modelling and need a lot more of it than girls just to be functional. Or perhaps they just don't get an much exposure to male role models since they're raised in mostly female environments between school and childcare and a single mother. Either way, societies that fail to program up boyn with quality role modelling are screwing themselves in the long term. When I meet loser guys i…

Women prefer men a few years older than them until the men get to about 50-55. Women do not prefer men in their sixties, even when they reach that age themselves. Men prefer 20 year olds, regardless of their own age. Probably even younger than that since the source data cuts off at that age. Source, the okcupid blog.

About 1% of women are worth $10k before sex. If everyone followed your rules almost no-one would get laid. You're describing a Donald Trump view of the world. Women should be beautiful and men should be tall, dominant and rich and use that money to attract women. Sexual harrassment is "unwelcome sexual attention". That's the literal legal definiton. Its always in the eye of the beholder. There are no objective standards for what is sexual harrassment behaviour and probably never will be. Because its defined by how the recipient of the attention feels. Not what anyone did. That is very unlikely to change. You could be Tom Brady walking up to a girl in your underware and "Want some boom boom?" and its not sexual harrassment. And you could be an ugly nerd w…

Their children's genes are improved by mating with high quality men. Especially for humans, simply being able to get pregnant and give birth to healthy children and nurvive that process is far from a guarantee. Genetically low quality women are unable to give birth or die during childbirth. The fatality rates for childbirth are crazy high. Even with modern medicine its a more dangerous process than anything most men will face in their life. Before modern medicine it was a nightmare.

They're trying to gain a romantic partner by imitating what women do. They're opaque about their feelings to avoid rejection and instead befriend the person. They hope that proximity on its own will create attraction. And also hope that hints about their true feelings will cause the other person to make a move. Guys who spend a lot of time in the friend zone have simply never learnt the difference between how men chase women, and vice versa. They copy what they've seen women do and don't realise…

In my opninion only the last point actually matters. And making it sate funded dooms it to failure. Any state funded program will inevitably compete with and lose to female interests. Both in the amount of resources available, and in the fights over the curriculum. You've stated the basics of making men more attractive. But I also disagree with the focus here. If a woman has to compete for your partner's attention/affection it can make a relationship more satisfying for a woman. This sounds a little insane but seems to work. If he's got other women interested in him it makes the woman feel he is more attractive. If you're the only woman who wants him then it can make him neem undesirable. Women treat relationships a bit like a competetive game. If you have to up your game (dress better, be sexier) to get his attention it makes your relationship feel m…

The oft repeated concept of Sex for Validation is the result of weak, emasculated and effeminate males. And largely the result of boys being raised in a feminized environment without strong masculine role models. Single mothers only being one component of this (a feminised child care and school system, an increasingly feminized political system, a general diffusion of the therapeutic society, being others). You're on the right track but you've got a typically feminine understanding of "a real ma…

I don't think of women as less intelligent or intellectually inferior. But the way women use intelligence/logic is different to men. Men are usually trying to get an understanding of the world. Once they can get an understanding of it they will subordinate what they believe to what they have learnt. (or get really angry at the part of the world that disagrees and try and kill it). The nature of many men's approach (though certainly not all) to logic is to gain accurate information about the worl…

I personally think that the reason that boys now grow up into men who can not face the most existential, threatening, and powerful question a man will ever face can be boiled down to a simple reason. lack of creativity in discovering new masculine roles in our changing technological climate. That seems to be the fundamental problem. TRP offers a solution to some men in the form of turning themnelves into a guy who is sexually attractive to women. That is a masculine role that men can take on which technology will not be enabling women to encroach on any time soon. But even here technology is taking this away. Dating apps and nocial media have produced hyper-hypergamy to the point that guys w…

Men's preferences for reading marterial are different to women and boys. They have a much stronger preference for non-fiction. Fictional stories are important for boys as they need vividly painted role models to emulate and clearly defined beginning/middle/end stories to see value systems in action and then internalise them. But once a boy enters adulthood substantial amounts of fiction just becomes escapism. Its fine as a bit of entertainment, but any man who is serious about what he wants to b…

When the most nuccesnful men prove themself and then procerate in large numbers, their superior genes pass on to a large number of children and improve the gene pool. As their unsuccessful competitors fail to reproduce their bad genes are weeded out. A successful women can otly produce at most a dozen children successful man can produce hundreds. Do the math of what that means for evolution.

Ants have not evolved beyond being ants in 140 million years. If the only purpsoe of humans is survival and no-one minds slowly devolving into a clone incapable of change then that would be the way to go. You need males to create the variety and extremes which allow us to experiment to become better than we are today. A species of clones will become conformist and slowly sink to the lowest common denominator.

Every time fathers met each other for the first time they'd brag about how long and painful their childbirth was. Hi, I'm Mike. 16 hours. No painkillers. And they'd never stop reminding women that they were tougher than them because they go through pregnancy. I'm always surprised when I think about it that women don't play this card every time a man tries to tell her how tough he is. Society has very little danger for men today compared to the past. Any mother today has face more physical pain a…

We don't need to speculate on why evolution programs this behaviour. We can just observe what we're seeing in the dating market today.

If women keep dating chad they won't be interested in the mongamous guys. They'll all be waiting for their turn and remaining single, or dating guys they're not attracted to until that opportunity comes along. They'll be serially monogamous, perhaps, but with one eye on the best they can do. Which will be their turn with chad.

Scare quotes are used to cast doubt on a word or phrase, or to emphasize that the word or phrase is being used as a euphemism.

Assymetric numbers. Look at the following example. One hundred men. One hundred women. 99 of the men are monogamous. One single chad is not. Its unrealistic for every person to be perfect. There will always be a couple of bad eggs. How many women need to be hypergamous for chad to have slept with, alpha widowed etc with so many that monogamy stops being an option for many of the 99 "good guys"? 20, 40, 70, all of them? Even if only a tiny percentage of chad alpha's are polygamous they can ruin m…

Take away anything that makes single motherhood more likely. That is how western society traditionally enforced monogamy. So remove any child support from the father. Either for out of wedlock babies or in divorce. Divorce laws that give fathers automatic equal custody, or even presumed primary custody. Remove any single mother specific welfare. Make government assistance for children/parents only available to married couples. Also make birth control and abortion socially acceptable. Most of tho…

About 30%. You'll see a lot of comments in this thread saying it depends on the guys values, or what he is looking for etc. Which is just a convinient way of equivocatitg the point to dodge the question. So I'll make it really clear. 30% of women are capable of being a good marriage partner. You can eliminate 70% straight away. Then from that remaining 30% you can look for the things you both value and compatibility. But 70% are just never going to be what a good marriage for both partners and t…

There's no reason to destroy the confidence and self esteem of 95-99% of young girls so the tiny percent of women who are masculine can have an ideal childhood. Unfortunately those masculine women shape the agenda of everyone and they're too self centered to accept other women (and boys) are different from them. Instead they try to force their preferred childhood on everyone and expect it will turn all kids into people like themselves. Its quite narcissistic, but nolpisism plus masculine women e…

Simpler to just do it in a bar. Have half a dozen guys out together. Choose one guy as the "leader". Everyone calls him "sir" and like he's low-key in charge. Girls wonder what it is about him. Girl starts talking to him. He does the subtle head nod to the other guys to let them know he wants to be alone with her and all the guys move to another part of the bar. Asks the girl he she wants a drink. Another subtle head nod and one of the guys comes over and takes their drinks order and brings it b…

What excuse? Guys can see political solutions will not work so they went and came up with something else that does. Created the manosphere and the red pill. Worked out the fundamental source of their problems and worked out tactics and strategies for dealing with that. Shared them, refined them developed the philosophy. Realised change through politics is not going to happen so instead came up with things that work without needing to change the world first. You're participating in that process r…

Its not the 60's any more. Mass protests don't work today and large scale civil disobedience the way it was done back then will not work. The elites redesigned society after the civil rights movement to prevent a repeat of that and they were quite successful. The only reason people protest today is to feel good. No-one who takes political outcomes seriously has acheived much of significance through protest in 20 years. It does not work that way any more. Hasn't for decades and men are not intere…

Men thought this whole feminism stuff was meant for them too, and that they could escape the male gender role It wasn't even that. I know I grew expecting men and women to be the same. All that stuff about an equal partnership etc. It was a huge shock to realise my relationships were unnuccessful because I believed and acted on all that bullshit. If I had just known at a young age that all that feminist stuff is not true I would have lived my whole life differently and been a lot happier, but al…

You live your life choosing which risk/rewards are acceptable. A casino has risk. But you'll never get anywhere there because the odds are deliberately against. Only a fool risks it all in a game like that. There are plenty of risks it life worth taking. Plenty that are not.

Set boundaries. Stick to them. That means when they are crossed, you have to end the relationship. Divorced, don't see kids much, paying child support. Broke. Modern divorce laws mean men cannot set real boundaries withou risking it all.

It can be done. Its just much harder than it looks. Women will constantly try to invade and/or destroy such places. So it needs a plan, constant effort to prevent its invasion and sabotage. It also requires covert or even manipulative tactics to keep it that way. Anything less than that and it will not last. Men expect that they don't have to do anything more than declare it male only. Its not that simple.

That would be the case in the absence of the bias about male development I mentioned. But the feeling that real men are just born and helping boys develop is therefore counterproductive is the driving reason for this particular lack of interest, even hostility. Solipsism on its own would not explain women's approach to their own sons.

Sex yes, relationships no. Women are not able to feel attracted and attached to the majority of of men, so its not easy for them to find a relationship. Attaching to an average partner requires the to overcome their lack of enthusiasm for it which is a lot of mental work

It depends on the community you belong to. There are not many behaviours that are universally masculine and positive. Without belonging to a quality community that clearly defines what it expects of men in a well thought out systematic way its very hard for a guy to have positive masculinity. The absence of communities like that today is the reason its so difficult to know what it is at the moment. There are universal emotional drivers like aggression, risk acceptance, but without values, codes …

The most important thing in life for a man is to have some sort of role. Some sort of purpose. Its literally more important than life itself. When boys are 6-7 they start looking for that role. They immitate their role models and want to be them more than anything else. Over the next few years up to the age of about 12-13 that gets programmed into them and is then permanently wired for the rest of their life. Western/christian civilisation is largely built on programming boys to take on the role…
