This.. all this... your value isn't high enough yet. You haven't help her feel desire for you yet, so don't try these manipulative comments. Keep lifting and following the process and let her come to you.

The sidebar books help you become a person that a woman will want to be with. It is should be your foundation. Don't go running for a college level 400 book, when you still haven't taken Psych 101.

25 years of fucking it up, and yeah I want an instant fix. :) I need a big reminder that the long game is what is important. Your point is well taken.

Thanks. This is starting become more and more apparent. After 25 years of marriage its going to take awhile to get out of that beta frame of mind. Its started and she is noticing. Your comment about her not being special hits home. I need to find a way to remind myself of that.. often... Thanks for taking the time to respond, I appreciate it.

Honestly I think what has changed is that our last kid is grown and will probably move out within a year. So finally we are turning and looking at each other and ourselves and saying 'now what?' .. I have had a dog when I was a kid.. But not a huge fan.

Damn.. I just typed out a big long response and realized I sounded like my kids going up. 'yeah dad, I get that but...' .. So, thank you. This pill I took will take awhile to digest. (25 years of marriage as a beta..) Thank you for taking the time to respond. I need to find a good way to remind myself of the core principles on a daily basis..

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Your points are well taken. I guess I was looking for quick way to help move her along. But you are right. I should continue to focus on me and if she truly does want to change, then she should own it. Rather than me trying to manipulate her.. Thanks again!

I once sat my boys down when they acted out. I told them if they would never treat my wife that way again. ~10 years later they still refer to it as the "my wife" talk. They were scared shitless. But I never had to strike them to make the point. Sometimes it the punishment that you didn't get that makes you the most nervous...

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
