Hi Rollo, thank you for your service. I think you have children. What are your thoughts on raising a boy in today's society? As much as we must lead by example, the fact is that they end up spending way too much time with bad examples that might give them wrong ideas. If such is the case, Do you think one should make him overtly aware of the red pill or guide them covertly and let them learn from their mistakes? Thanks again from South America!

My idea with the post is to improve my frame control. I use it to be a better man and take better decisions, not to please anyone. You can strike a nail with a hammer, but you can also try to kill a fly with it. It's a tool, it depends if the use you give to it.

Exactly, thats the goal. My post is a technique that helped me to attain it.

This. Work on you. I would also point out that many here blame their wife's conservative or religious upbringing to hamster their lack of desire. There is nothing her mom or her priest can tell her to prevent her to jump in chads D if the opportunity arises. Then it will be a matter of guilt for her until her hamster finds a way to blame you for her cheating.

I've had great results from this program. Some observations: You are supposed to start light. For the BBB sets and specially for the assistance work is not so much about the weight but for the work being done. You need to micro tear your muscle, not training your CNS with these sets. Read this and this. For deadlifts BBB sets I do RDLs instead of regular deadlifts. Otherwise is just too much stress and you won't be able to make a normal life the next day, let alone train properly. Use double pro…

Sacrifice something you enjoy alone. Sex is not like that. Clearly your wife does not want to sacrifice sex. If what you most enjoyed in the world was playing with your children, would you stop doing it as a sacrifice knowing it would affect your child too?

Wonderful answer. Can't wait to apply it with my son. I thought you actually shamed them using some external value system to make them feel guilty rather than making them realize for themselves the harm their bad behavior causes. It's like a Socratic approach to lecture the kids. Thank you

Exactly. There is no good in just complaining. If there is something you can do, you must do it. To be quiet and complain behind someone's back takes no courage at all. But actually doing something about it does. Always being careful of not "outshining the master" anyway.

I've been delaying the sale of my motorbike the last two months. When I sell it that money will kill the last of my credit card debt. Have you tried YNAB? I tried to budget without results for a long period of time. Then I found YNAB and it completely changed my approach to budgeting. The interesting part of it is that you don't look to the past. You just: Give every dollar a job. If you have $300 in your account, you ask yourself ¿what does this money need to do until im paid again? then you distribute the money in categories in the software (as if they were envelopes). 150 groceries, 50 gas, 60 phone, 40 fun money... I remember saying something along the lines of YOU have to believe fully in what you're doing Belief in the mission is another critical point stressed in Extreme Ownership. It is also fundmental that your crew understands the purpose of the mission (the WHY), so: They can come up with solutions that contribute with the overall mision when minor issues arise while you are not present; Allow you to focus on the bigger picture and not get absorbed in the details (descentralized command); Reinforce …

You will get angry with her. The shit tests began immediately. Are you OK? I look her dead in the eye and with no emotion. "Yes." The shit tests will likely continue. “You are acting weird. Lol, I was about to write a post about this book. This book should really be on the sidebar Im almost finishing it. I thought about posting a review and how I have applied it both in my family and at work so far. I understand that you should become such a high value man that she really fears the idea of loosing you. Lift. Work on yourself. Read the sidebar. Then you must set a boundary so that she knows that if she cheats you will leave her. She must fear you will find out if she cheats, otherwise she will remain silent and hamster a reason for her cheating. You must always consider that you cant control her and you cant know everything she is doing and you only can work on yourself.

I think that maybe she wants to marry because of the new me. She thinks a have a hidden agenda or something and she is scared. I love her and I love our child even more. I'm my country marriage law is not so severe with men, but it is with your children. Alimony can be 0, and the woman must prove that she didn't develop financially DUE to the fact that she was married. Child support on the other hand is much worse, and if we split I'll have to deal with it anyway.

I've something similar, but she wont admit her feelz come from the marriage thing. She just says "I dont know why I feel this way, but I do". Of course I know why it is. Where do you draw the line in talking about your feelings with your wife? I've been through some pretty rough shit with my parents lately and I have been a rock in front of her. When she starts talking feelings you really talk about yours? or you just use negative assertion owning your shit, negative inquiry to know what is really happening and fogg the rest?

MRP works and its based on the idea of how humans evolved through a couple of millions of years. It is based in the bible the same as it is based in star wars. I get the point of the post, and I think it is great that OP can recocile his religious beliefs with MRP. In fact his words (in a religious frame) made perfect sense. My point is that religion is an unnecesary burden that forces you to cherry pick and fit everything you do (or even think) into its frame, so you can live without guilt. Tha…

It is hard for some religious people to really do what they want. If they do, guilt comes along and they need to hamster their way out of it and seek validation from others (which I think is the main issue with this post). I've followed OP's MRP progress and is inspiring and beautiful. I think it is a shame that he must be looking over his shoulder wondering if God is Ok with it.

Remember you probably sould not stick with SL for 3 years. Get your main lifts up untill you plateau and then switch to 5/3/1 BBB or a Bodybuilding routine. And if you are so concerned about the BF% then count calories. It works like magic, but it is really just math.

Thinking out loud here: Something interesting I somehow got thinkink by reading this post is the relative and absolute value of SMV. I have not read yet anything on the subject (got a long way to go still). Some thoughts: If you are hotter than your wife (relative SMV) but still not objectively hot for the world (absolute SMV), you satisfy her hypergamy. If your SMV is higher than your wife's (relative SMV) AND enough to be universally hot (absolute SMV), you satisfy not only her hypergamy but m…

What would have been the correct approach to any of this? I think you wrote this already knowing the answers. After a bit, I felt restless and (stupidly) asked my wife if she wanted to hang out and watch a movie together. You just crave to get into her frame Her: “There’s nothing I really want to watch.” Like an idiot, I pressed on. As I said, you know what went wrong and when. I like being strong as fuck. Size comes along. But I agree with you that 5/3/1 is not the fastest way to get that carrot shaped body like jeff seid... Just trying to stress that for me, the hole point of lifting is getting stronger to (in a primitive-evolutionary sense) protect your family.
/r/MarriedRedPill15/09/15 11:50 PM
1

Nope. In fact, 5/3/1 is used even by aestethic bodybuilders. The 5/3/1 part is the strenght part. The assistance work is were you mold and refine your aesthetics. Check Matt Ogus on 5/3/1. Of course it is not the best routine for aesthetics, But it certaincly will get you big. And much stronger.

Stronglifts is one of the best begginers programs along with rippetoe's classic Starting Strenght. I followed SL like for a year when I started lifting. However, sooner or later you will plateau constantly, and then you should move to something like 5/3/1 by Jim Wendler. Its the same principles (heavy compound lifts, size follows strenght etc) but the assistance work can help you grow even more while making great gains in strenght. I like this programs more than bodybuilding programs because the…

You need to be aware of covert contracts. Do tings because you want to do them. If you expect certain action or reaction in change and it doesnt happen, you will get angry or dissapointed. Whether you show it or not, you'll still be angry. Follow TTBs advice and take action, stop talking.

As I understand it, a covert contract implies and action that is done for the purpose of obtaining certain reaction from other people. I think that what you tried to say is that you do things for your wife because she makes and effort to appreciate them, although you actually do not give a fuck whether she does or not. I'm learning all this and english is not my mother language, so sometimes I lose subleties. That is why I asked.

I would push her a little bit, like an A&A thing. I would tell her that one day a week is not training, and that she should go at least 3 times a week. Then, and based on your training regime (I read that you go 4 times a week) tell her she must go on your rest days, and offer to give her advice on her training routine. That way you: 1. You send her a message that you encourage her to train and that you support her; 2. Mantain your boundary; 3. She will most likely go 3 times and wont go again, …

Nah, I didnt get fat. Pure strenght training is slower for hyperthrophy, but It last much longer. I'm just like 6 kilos smaller than when I was on my lifting prime. I believe the reason of my lack of sex was me failing shit tests during my wife's pregnancy, therefore looking beta to her. My point is that I feel like a kid in the toy store with a million dollars. I started reading on friday and I am already seeing the changes. Im concentrating in OI, frame and passing shit tests.
