Exactly. I wish more people differentiated between being attractive and being good-looking/raw sex appeal. It’s not the same thing. A master painter can only do so much with a shitty canvas. One of my good friends at the time (a chad) goes out the house in a Superman t shirt, gym shorts, and Nike slides. He gets dates doing that shit. If I did that I’d look like a fucking loser and probably end up on social media getting roasted.

As a man (bc I don’t know the female experience and it’s important to clarify) I’ve always said I really don’t understand why women even want to get into a relationship. You can damn near get pretty much everything you want from a man/society without having to commit to him. I think after reading this I’ve changed my perspective a little bit. Relationships are a good thing, it’s that women often don’t have the scarcity mindset that men have so it makes sense for them to just stay single if they …

I’d rather knowingly be a stepdad than unknowingly be one ¯\(ツ)/¯ But on a serious note I was thinking about this the other day and I think I would if 1) the child was relatively young and 2) she was trying have a bio child with me. But I’m not gonna lie I’d rather raise only my biological children if I had a choice. It might be cause I’m young but I have a hard time not viewing stepdads as desperate people tbh.

Bingo. Copying a comment I said previously but many women assume the men they’re having sex with are representative of men as a whole when that’s completely not true. It’s just most men are either invisible or vaguely threatening to them so they don’t bother to get their perspective on things. Not blaming them that’s just how it is. Anecdotally speaking it’s always funny when I talk to a girl or even have sex with one and they just assume I’ve had sex with a bunch of people because that’s the ex…

Yep. I’ve always said if you have to think about it you probably aren’t goodlooking.

I think it’s healthy to have a variety of friends but I do think it’s best to primarily have friends of the same gender/ sexual orientation as you. I think it results in less mind fucks. Though maybe as a woman I wouldn’t mind much because: I wouldn’t be the one doing the approaching and I probably wouldn’t have feelings for these men if they’re my friend. One of my girl friends told me she doesn’t view men she’s attracted to as friends (nor does she try to become friends with them) and as much …

A lot of women believe the man they’re sleeping with is representative of men as a whole. As we know, that’s just not true. As in “my husband/bf/fuck buddy is having sex, so surely all men must be having sex” Also I think men irl try not to advertise how lonely they are or how many times they get rejected as it comes off as unattractive to women.

Hmmm the kind of woman I'd want to be? Probably an art hoe or a literati type creative with an onlyfans. Considering I'm damn near that already just a less successful version because I am an below average looking man LMFAO. Not sure if the attention would end up turning me off towards all of that though, its nice being able to ignore unwanted attention as a man.

I get generally get matches(not many at all but some) but right now I live with my parents + just got out of a breakup so not really trying to date at all. It’s more of a source of external validation for me right now. Terrible idea, you start out feeling good than you feel worse.

Same, I think outside of New York/DC, most people would imagine most urban areas to be the same and unrecognizable. Especially because when people say they live in urban areas they rarely actually live in the city itself, but rather the adjacent suburbs. Hell I don’t know the difference between Philadelphia and Baltimore for example.

I’m not sure South Florida and South California have the same....dating issues. I don’t really even think you can reasonably compare them to each other to be honest. But have you even seen most of the Southern United States? Just being skinny there puts you one or two points because the average there is being overweight/fat. Now you could make the argument that dating in urban areas is easier, but really you’re just trading one set of problems for another.

I’d rather have chemistry than compatibility. You literally can’t have a romantic/sexual relationship without chemistry. You’d just be someone’s friend. From experience, being a friend when you’d rather have something else gets old quick.

Society, interesting. Do you think that our biological differences in genders encourages the development of these societal norms though, or is it the other way around? This might be a chicken or the egg question I proposed but oh well.

I'm not sure what "I" do. I'm only 21 so I have very little experience to go off of. In my most recent relationship I dated someone who was sexually attracted to me, but I felt as though I settled, so that was definitely a mistake! My fear is more so based from having crushes on friends of mine and never making my move, then resenting the fact that they aren't attracted to me instead of forcing the issue earlier and getting an answer. As well as feeling as though "these" friends are attracted to…

A girl staying with me because I’m good enough, not what they actually want. Also marrying someone who likes my personality but clearly isn’t attracted to me sexually. I’ve described it as “this girl wants my personality but on the man she’s actually physically attracted to”. It seems like women tend to do this because the good-looking men that they’re physically attracted to don’t want them for a long term relationship so they play it safe, which ends up backfiring.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
