I didn't have a chance once the complaints started rolling in. I'm taking the approach of being kind, not friendly. Engaging but not social. However, I have started to job hunt and realize I need to be out of here. It amazes me that self improvements can make toxic people and environments reveal themselves. As I improved, and I remember a post talking about this, it began to make their own status change. They told me to stop losing weight, encouraged bad eating. Hmmm... However, that does not take away that when women are in charge and outnumber men in the office 3-1, most of management is female, that their manipulation and games don't work. They do. Not social, but working. She never would curl her hair. Ever. In the years she worked here. So I said to her, you curled your hair, it looks nice.
