Yup, when she raises her voice it’s because I’m not stepping up as a parent. When I raise my voice I’m dangerous with a short fuse

If you don’t have kids together I wouldn’t talk to her at all. She will string you along, destroy your mental health. Leave you broken and then make you to be the bad guy. Get yourself some lube. Get yourself a hooker. It will save you in the long run. But whatever you do, do not stick your dick in any part of her body

They change the second you get married and it amplifies once you have kids. Then once they sense you are locked in and not going to leave because of kids or anything else, they tighten their grip on you and make no qualms about, they will start the abuse in one form or another

The thing is. They claim they will take accountability. They just don’t ever think they did something wrong or they were justified. OP must have had a tone one day while taking a shit

Yeah I agree to a point. I feel like it’s more Frowned upon in society if a woman give up herself for a man than the other way around. But I do 100% agree that it’s important to teach your children to treat people with kindness and respect.

I haven’t officially left my wife but over the course of our tumultuous marriage she always talked about being amicable if we got divorced. Now that we are in the death throes. She hasn’t outright said it but it’s very clear she will do all she can to ruin me and my relationship with our kids.

You speak the truth. Boys at a very young age are conditioned to think woman should be the center of their life. But that will only lead to unhappiness.

Marriage is an obsolete institution. There’s no need to get married and the downside/risk it’s too great. I have three boys and don’t care if they ever get married.

That’s what society teaches us. Just listen to all of the love songs and movies. It’s all about the man giving shit up to make the woman happy.

I think you know the answer. If you don’t feel like fighting then it’s not worth fighting for. Not trying to be negative but be careful giving into her demands to change. That’s a slippery slope.

Thanks for the response. I can’t help but think of a book I read a while ago about raising kids. The author had a passage about raising kids while divorced and to paraphrase him; “If your exwife is a crazy bitch. Well, she’s your crazy bitch whether you like it or not and she will be for years. So learn not to engage with her and protect yourself”

On the flipside. Let’s say he didn’t come over to help with the puking kid. Then she calls him a ass hole for not helping. Damned if you do. Damned if you don’t. But out of curiosity could she use that against him in court? Asking for a friend.

I think it depends on the woman. There are many women(and men) out there who move the goal post on you just as you’re about to cross the line. Those people will never be happy and will make it hard for you to be happy too. The key is to find a someone who can find happiness regardless of their situation. If you find someone like that let me know.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
