Great points. Yeah like a lot of terms used, "toxic masculinity" now means whatever some critic of masculinity in general hates about it. It's was too nebulous.

"feminism treats men like defective women" you hit the nail on the head!

But men kill themselves at much higher rates. I think the discussion about suicide gets muddled tbh.

Oh yeah. Like be able to handle yourself, but allow yourself to experience all emotions when needed.

Great point. And yeah, I always saw letting yourself cry and ask for help and things of that nature were extremely masculine.

I totally agree. Masculinity is important, especially to those of us with testosterone. It's ok to like fighting and competition and whatnot. It isn't a lesser form of expression or traits.

Haha well said. Especially the last paragraph 😅. But yeah I don't see it as much as men don't know how to express their feelings, I suppose it's more the way men expressed feelings is typically shamed. Which is complete bullshit. There's nothing wrong with being angry. But apparently that's an emotion we're supposed to run away from. It's ridiculous.

It's also the idea of "this is men's fault." Or "men problems are because if MEN." BS rhetoric that I see. It isn't men, it's SOCIETY.

Thars not a minor example at all to me. Actually the way I see it it is a huuuge privilege. I mean I get it, that's just a more direct form of daring anyhow. Typically women choose and men have to prove. I've seen girls make unmerciless fun of guys on dating apps and it's just cruel. Like, yeah that guy is holding up a fish in his profile and like to hunt... so what? It's insane that they join an app MEANT FOR DATING AND MEETING PEOPLE and then people want to DATE AND MEET THEM. Especially becau…

Cops would be called, a whole scandal would take place and possible (probably) some kind of big public protest about toxic Male blah blah or something or other.

You know what? You are right. I let my anger get the better of me. I did make a snap judgement and I'm sorry. I do still stand by that if this was a story for man to woman the dudes career may already be over. Sorry about me being judgemental so quickly.

An awful lot of "maybes" in there for a crime as serious as sexual assault. Are you implying he got what was coming to him for getting on stage? And the girl could have not gotten on the train. It is truly concerning how badly you are trying to protect a woman from consequences of sexual assault... I really wonder if the genders had been reversed if you would be just as OK with it. Some guy swinging his crotch in some random woman's face if she maybe didn't know that was going to happen. She was…

How could he have known what he was getting into? Did they ask or inform him? That would make a difference, but I doubt they did that. How is 2 people who do not know each other and one lap dances the other not the same as groping someone randomly. As a matter of fact, doing it live during a concert makes it worse because of the social pressure for him to "be cool" with it.

Ita sexualnassult either way. If a girl had some sort of fucked up groping on a train fantasy and a stranger (without knowing this) griped her, it suddenly is ok? The only thing is whether it gets reported or not. Assault is always assault, whether the person getting assaulted is cool with it or not.

To everyone saying this is a joke, of course it is. But imagine how well recieved if the joke were about a man ignoring a restraining order against a woman. And showing up at her house. That could get someone in trouble. (But the joke, in any context, is pretty lame tbh.)

Man: might have assaulted someone- possible jail and life over without evidence needed. Woman: admittedly drugs, assaults and robs men- hey! How about a movie glorifying you :) you are SUCH a HUSTLER!!! wow I'm impressed!! Oh and at least this movie seems to actually show some real consequences for actions taken. Doesn't seem like thattl be the case IRL. (I recognize this is not always the case btw. Women put up with plenty of bullshit. But this movie is fucking disgraceful and insulting as shit…

Lmao I get the feeling she doesn't actually have a bf... maybe I'm wrong but that kinda crazy shit isn't usually just on their online personalities. But either way what a fucking bitch.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
