It’s so interesting to me that I was taught by my parents to do most of these things without them ever saying “this will attract a good man”. How fortunate I feel now!

In my experience, there are many churches who cater to societal rules (ex. being careful not to say anything offensive to anyone), which naturally tends to attract left-leaning Christians. It’s hard to find a church that actually teaches from the Bible these days, at least for me.

Well if we’re being fair, even the professional opinion of foods has changed as we learn more. There was a time when people tried to reduce their egg consumption because eggs have cholesterol! Now we know that the cholesterol in eggs has almost no effect on blood cholesterol.

I wish everyone had to take a nutrition course in high school. I’m a dietetics student now and I look back on all the dumb things I thought I knew about food 🤦🏼‍♀️

I wouldn’t recommend that everyone eat 1600 calories a day. Instead I’d say look up a TDEE calculator. You put in your height, weight, and lifestyle factors and it tells you how many calories you need to eat per day to maintain your weight! (This is not directed at you in particular, just at anyone who’s browsing the discussion)

I know tody costs money but I bought it at this sub’s recommendation and I love it! I’m very forgetful and it helps me keep on top of my cleaning. It’s the only app I’ve ever bought!

Which retinol do you use? I’m looking for one that’s worth the money.

IMO, it is your spouse’s responsibility to handle problems with his side of the family. If you tell him (clearly and truthfully) how his mom’s actions make you feel, and he doesn’t take actions to shield you from her craziness, a serious talk is in order. I personally couldn’t be with a man who refused to change actions that I told him bothered me. If you’re able to get him to see your side of the story, cutting out some MIL time may be in order. The less contact with her, the more relaxed you b…

This is me. I keep trying to make sure he’s on top of things so he doesn’t forget them, but all I’m doing is being annoying and trying to be in control of situations he has handled. I’ll work on that this week.

I try to eat as well as I can, but when I don’t take my calcium supplements for a while (like on vacation), I see a difference in my nails!

Contrary to what you said, I think the right guy would love your inexperience. Men like to “teach” women things (it makes them feel like a leader), and my man loved introducing me to the world of sex. Make sure you pick a good guy though, not one who is predatory or selfish in bed.

Yeah but they spelled it “ovary”. Why did you add the last image? That’s what I don’t get.

Over the past year I’ve subtly asked my SO his favorite lunch foods, so he wouldn’t get wise. On Valentine’s Day I’m getting him all those foods and taking him on a picnic in the park where we had our first date. Assuming it doesn’t rain!

He cares about me so much. He’s always thinking of me so much that I have to remind him to think of himself. I love him so much.

I just want to say that being sexually inexperienced will not matter to, and might even be considered admirable, to the right person. Don’t feel like you’re “missing out” or something. Wait until you’re comfortable.

My partner and I are both very into traditional roles and are staunchly childfree... you’re not alone! :)

Your relationship sounds just like mine! My boyfriend and I are so in love and while the passion waxes and wanes, we are each other’s best friends and always stick by each other 💛. You and I are both so lucky!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
