it was never about equality. it was about gimme gimme gimme and punishing men. what you quoted is just the line they use to sell it.

Lol dude, I’m a little longer in the tooth than you, I’m guessing. I wasn’t talking about me. I was talking about candidates I have interviewed. Personal lived experience that the most qualified candidate was passed over in favor of “adding more diversity”. Which is the same as saying “because too many people that resemble him already have the same job”

lol you know nothing of the real world. get back to me when you are personally harmed by these policies. I have been many times. personally. and i have seen white males harmed, directly and proudly, by these policies. Oddly enough, i have never seen any minorities actually harmed. You have your hand wavey 'unconscious biases that MIGHT be there so we better make sure and require equity regardless of qualifications'. And it's frankly a bullshit argument, and im tired of indulging it.

You’re missing a key distinction. Or you’re dismissing it for some reason. This article describes a zero-sum-game. Meaning that for women and minorities to “succeed” as you put it (take advantage of a handout is more accurate, though) that “success” must come at the expense of men. That’s the difference between earning something and being given it. One is taken from someone by force, and the other is actually deservedly yours.

If I need a surgeon, I want to know they are the the top person for the job, not because of some quota! I fully agree. Due to systemic racism in admissions policies and beyond, it's much easier for members of certain races to become doctors than members of other races also trying to become doctors. That means that our first filters for those high-importance roles are on things like race and gender, with aptitude, talent, and attitude only serving as an afterthought. Even the current Vice Preside…

you are being an unapologetic, shameless racist. It's an objective fact. The sad part is that you feel comfortable doing it. Do you ever feel like others do that to men? Do you know that feeling of being discriminated against because of your genetic makeup? Do you think it feels good? Do you think it feels good to have a white son and hear that the world he will go into is proudly codifying systemic racism like this to the thunderous applause of character-less gimme gimme gimme opportunists like…

cut the shit: you're comfortable being racist against white people because you face no repercussions for it, and it benefits you. Just so you know, that means you have 0 character.

if they deserved the positions like you claim, why do they need this? How can you think this is sexist without also thinking it is racist? the policy attacks men that are white specifically. how is that not racist? How are you okay with that? Honestly I hope it's not just that 'because one benefits me' attitude.

I have actually seen the same scam with homeless black people in Atlanta. people will grab a homeless person off the street, put them up in an apartment (which is also the business address), and do the exact same thing: just bid and win jobs, then pass them along to the non-minority-owned business who does the actual work. they just take a cut along the way. these laws are so easy to abuse. who the fuck thought this would work?

It seems he’s very attractive to those with a persecution complex. That’s your comment to which I was replying. thanks, i missed that the first time. I guess a middle step would have been to tell her to turn off the car as his main command as opposed to get out of the car. not that he should have to repeat any lawful orders. but if he is going to yell one on repeat and tase her over noncompliance, then a reasonable way to address flight concerns would be 'turn off the car'. If she was unwilling to do that, it would be more clear that she plans to run, and a taser would be more called for.

where does he ask her to turn the car off? I'm not saying she was innocent so you don't need to mention the drugs or speeding. I'm saying that a rational person would view this as excessive escalation of force.

Unless you're a cop, you have no basis to ASSESS his performance. as a citizen who pays taxes and votes, I am 100% in a position to assess his performance. I don't want my taxes buying tasers for cops to use because they have become frustrated. That isn't the kind of society i want to live in. Where cops can command you to do something and you better immediately comply or get tased. A rational human would have waited on backup and attempted to de-escalate the situation. i saw that elsewhere. His instincts were correct, but going to the taser was overkill. he was annoyed with her, and he handled the situation poorly. he should have waited for backup.

well, that is what the evidence would suggest. either that or you're picking this kind of woman. Either way, you're the common factor. This is because of something you're doing. fix it instead of blaming others.

another post mentioned that she tried to roll the window up on his arm with the car in gear. If that's true, then it changes the way i view this. However, he still handled the situation poorly. His instincts were correct, and she needed to be arrested. But he still should have waited on the other unit. I didn't see any indication that she was a flight risk. He could have told her to turn off her vehicle if that's what he was worried about.

he should have waited for the other unit he called to show up. she wasn't threatening the safety of anyone. a taser isn't to be used because someone is frustrating you.
/r/PussyPassDenied17/07/19 02:47 PM
-8

he doesn't need to wait on 'boyfriend' anything. He still handled this completely wrong. He called for another unit. He should have waited for that unit, then proceeded. Instead he goes straight for a taser. Because she was speeding. I perceived no threat from her, and I got no impression the officer perceived a threat, either. This was poorly handled, and an excessive use of force regardless of gender.

/r/MensRights15/06/19 03:00 AM

How about if the man wants to say no to an abortion. Is it the woman’s responsibility to be uncomfortable for 5 months because that’s just “a asymmetry of reproduction”? I mean, that’s just a few months. A man would have a responsibility for almost 2 decades. my comment from earlier. That's inconvenient. do you still feel the same way?
/r/MensRights15/06/19 02:59 AM
1

that's a court ruling. There is no law to cite. That will depend on jurisdiction, at the very least. also, that particular case deals with cumming in a woman's mouth. a condom would be enough of a different scenario to cause that ruling to be irrlevant. The reason being that with a condom you haven't given it as a gift. it is retained around your dick, and purposefully so.
/r/MensRights15/06/19 02:58 AM
0

you're gonna need to cite that law. if a woman empties out a condom, that's not 'her' semen to do with what she pleases at that point. im calling straight up bullshit.
/r/MensRights15/06/19 12:27 AM

and im saying you don't get to use that argument just when it's convenient.

look at the hoops the man has to jump through. the state listens to the mother and tells the man to fuck off unless he wants to go through genetic testing to fight for his rights. as i said, gated by the mother.
/r/MensRights15/06/19 12:25 AM

Please think of the implications of being forced to pay 18 years of child support. For a child you may not ever see.
/r/MensRights14/06/19 09:29 PM

I would go as far as to make such laws only applicable when a “pre-inter course agreement” has been signed. Such as “both parties x and y agree that any such pregnancies that occur until further agreement shall be terminated. In the case a woman chooses to keep the pregnancy,, the man has 0 obligation or responsibility towards the outcome of said pregnancy”
/r/MensRights14/06/19 09:28 PM

what are you talking about? https://youtu.be/NkLb-0-L5OA?t=189 she calls him out, he feels foolish, threatens her with 'do you want cuffs on you' because he knows thats a big public setting. she then continues to state her rights and he gets pissed and beats the shit out of her as punishment for being 'mouthy' as people in this thread put it. I'm not going to cheer a person's legal rights being trampled.

this is exactly how I feel. physical force was used for punishment, and that's not a cop's job.

I don't have any problem with cops. I think dropping a person who won't give their name is a problem. cops are not supposed to use physical force as a tool. it is supposed to be a last resort when it absolutely must be done. not because someone is being mouthy. lets be honest- he wanted to cuff her publicly.

I watched up to her getting 'dropped'. look, this sub is what it is, but my take here was that this was a complete abuse of authority. yeah she's mouthy, but she's allowed to be. they weren't drinking anything. she doesn't want to give him her name, and she shouldn't have to. she and her friends are sitting on the beach next to the cooler that her aunt left some alcohol in. the aunt is on her way to verify her story. why should she be 'dropped', as the cop so enthusiastically put it, for not giv…

I was told explicitly as a freshman at uga in 2004 that an equally drunk male/female having sex automatically made the male a rapist. By official sources. Feminism: all the privileges with none of the consequences. What a concept.

Are you okay with others’ definitions of “vulnerable”? It’s a subjective term. Particularly if she didn’t know. Pretend you started dating a girl and later found out she was “vulnerable” and you were being charged because she let you pick out her clothes.

long term != current. you're grasping at straws in every one of your points. im at work so I can't continue this thread, but let's just agree to disagree and that's okay. in my opinion, the physical violence charges are deserved, but him giving her his facebook password is not her fault etc. It's just my opinion, and it agrees with the rule of law where I live. it doesn't bother me that other places have different laws. have a good day.

Fear is a powerful and scary thing, and none of us here know the full situation. , I'm willing to bet she knew that the guy had that affliction. The dude isn't at fault. why don't you listen to your own comment that none of use know the full situation? about fear being a powerful and scary thing, are you okay with men being sent to jail because a woman claimed he made them afraid to leave him? Where's the burden of proof there? What you're saying just doesn't make any sense, and surprise surpris…

or you're hitting them so often that the neighbours see you carrying a screw driver or hammer as a weapon yep, that part is why I agree she should be in jail. the rest of it is weak, and you know it. im glad we don't have the BS here in the US. edit: clarified 'here' to US.

sure. he had free will. you're stretching with 'vulnerable', too. did a doctor tell her 'hey, this guy is vulnerable. you can control him'? no? then she didn't know he was 'vulnerable' so that's not her fault. Thats a very slippery slope, and I think you know it. as I said, just don't go picking sides based on gender. reverse the genders in your head and see how you feel. I mean, really do it as a thought exercise. it's not about winning an internet debate on reddit.

and that's her fault? just don't say anything you wouldn't be happy applying if the tables were turned. I know it's PPD so we should hate women blindly, but this seems nuts to me. The battery was enough. these other charges are his fault.

Did you just fabricate a quote to support your position? holy cow you're bending over backwards to make excuses for this guy. Yes, any person should go to jail for battery. but saying she is guilty of him letting her take control of his life is not fair. That's a 2 way street. it takes 2 guilty parties there. He had 100% free will to leave, but he chose to stay and take it. in other words, she can be punished for the physical harm, but him letting her control his life is his fault and that's not…

wait. I know what this sub is about, but come on: Petite Jordan Worth, 22, stabbed him with a knife, scalded him with boiling water, yep, those are bad and she should go to jail but banned him from their bed and decided what clothes he should wear. Worth, who lived with her boyfriend in the village of Stewartby, Bedfordshire, also isolated him from his friends and took over his Facebook account. the second part there is entirely his fault. he let her ban him from her bed, he let her pick his clo…

So what’s your point? Mine is that a 13 year old child can’t give consent- regardless of gender. Even if the kid had “snapped out of it and fucked the shit out of her” it would still be rape.

as I said, try familiarizing yourself with this case. im not going to spoon feed it to you any more than I already have. when you can come back and understand what actually happened, I'll keep talking to you. you just ignored that she was trying to rape him before she was interrupted. you're sitting here saying it doesnt count because he's a boy, and you need to fuck off with that bullshit.
/r/PussyPassDenied06/04/18 02:34 PM

the title is not correct. she tried to rape him, but was interrupted. the title is clickbait. imagine that.
/r/PussyPassDenied06/04/18 02:32 PM
2

no it fucking isn't, you sicko. what about when grown men rape 13 year old boys, how about that? or is what you're really trying to say is that women can't rape?
/r/PussyPassDenied06/04/18 02:14 PM
2

so, if you have a 13 year old daughter and some dude rapes her, I guess you'll just shrug and say 'she wanted it anyways.' you really need to reexamine your position here. familiarize yourself with the facts of this case. she was trying to rape him before she was interrupted. don't defend this swine. im glad she will spend at least 10 years in prison for what she did.

Sounds about right. Grow up.
/r/PussyPassDenied06/04/18 01:37 PM

Wtf? I’m a man. I completely understand. You’re defending a child rapist by saying “the 13 year old child probably wanted it because it's a boy hur durr”. Think about that before you continue here. You seem to think boy children can’t be raped for some reason. I really suggest you spend some time thinking about that because it’s a sick position to hold.
/r/PussyPassDenied06/04/18 01:34 PM
3

You’re being disgusting. He was a child. Less than a year prior he was still 12 years old. Stop being a rape apologist by literally saying “he probably wanted it anyways”. Can you imagine saying that about a 13 year old girl being held down by a big man? Saying “she probably wanted it anyways”. Gross.
/r/PussyPassDenied06/04/18 01:28 PM
2

Well it looks like you’re wrong. She was apparently using her size to pin him down. She would have done much worse had she been not interrupted. Don’t defend her because you don’t know the details.
