Here’s something I previously wrote that seems worthwhile sharing: Mommy and daddy love you. We have decided to move apart and live separately. We are not getting back together. We both love you very much and that will never change. Despite us choosing to live in different homes, we will always be there for you. You can always talk to us. Whenever they ask anything about this always give them the same message. Meet them at their level, and always, always, always remind them that you love them, i…

Absolutely! I fully supported this and would even ask my mom and stepdad why they hadn’t done it time and time again. There were many times when that was all my mom would talk about. It’s really hard seeing someone be miserable and not do something about it because they feel the need to stay in misery because of you.

Being a child of a broken relationship who decided to stay together for the kids, let me just say that we see everything. Despite your best intents, you cannot hide all that pain. Kids are smart, and they sense this way the heck earlier than we think should be possible. Here’s what I told myself: what advice would I tell my child if they were in your position? Practice some self-compassion and practice what you’d preach to your child. Show them that happiness is a choice always worth pursuing.

I’m sorry you and your kids had to go through this. I’m glad you were finally reunited. Stay strong!

You don’t need to have been married whatsoever to be on the hook for child support. Men seem to forget this all too easily. You can be unmarried and still be subjected to what transpires in Family Court.

Having used ChatGPT every day for work and personal life, I cannot possibly recommend this whatsoever. Use it to help you fix up written communication. It cannot replace a lawyer at this time. A lawyer can help you strategize, which is something that ChatGPT cannot help you with whatsoever. Use it as a supplement—not as your main strategy. Last but not least, there’s no such thing as client-attorney privilege with ChatGPT. There’s a ton of discussion about this right now. I’d stay away from doin…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
