I approached one girl ordering a drink at the same time I was. Awkward convo. However, I met my friends GF's friend and we hit it off and that's the first time in a while I've actually flirted and felt confident. Got her number and we are hanging out later in the week

I think cheering for our college football team will help a ton because it is automatically something to talk about.

I'll update too. Any cold approach tips that you use? I'll be at a college bar watching football games tomorrow

Good luck!! In honor of your goals, I'll set a low goal of approaching 3 strangers.

No, but it's the next best thing. It's a shitty replacement for actual orgasms, but not at all an emotional replacement for a relationship

Thanks I'll take this advice

Thanks for the advice, I agree it does outweigh it.

I needed to hear this. Now that I think about it the two friends with benefits that I did have and were short-lived started by hooking up first, one side developing feelings, and now just acquaintances.

After some thought, I decided to not ask. I might bring it up to her later but I do agree with a lot of the comments that say it is risking losing a good friend and it isn't worth getting laid. Especially because if we both really wanted to hookup it would have happened a while ago. I think I'm more interested in seeing if she actually wants to hookup than the actual hookup and seeing if I'm reading her flirtatious signs wrong.

Got out of my last relationship because of this. We both were neglecting our growth because we still had a great relationship. I definitely became her main hobby and she was my security blanket if I ever messed up in life. It’s easy to get trapped into this

Not a good look. I respect the honesty and being upfront, but not much to gain here by saying that

Ignore the negative comments here, what you did was get yourself out of your comfort zone in order to improve your game through practice. Keep it up

Thanks I’ll look into those lines. I already felt a difference towards the end of the conversation, and felt a little more confident so I’m sure more practice makes perfect

The instant rejection I think was the worst and just assuming it is because of how I look, but in this scenario, it was just her being a shitty and unfriendly person

Ya her friend said she was just a tag-along that a lot of their friend group doesn't like because of how rude she is.

That reaction just reflects that girls terrible personality and traits

Honestly don’t know, but it’s their ability to make random strangers like them despite their often rude pranks that’s impressive

I totally get the shyness coming off as not liking you but in reality she’s just nervous because she does like you haha. My last Gf and I met at a party and we played pong together. I was trying so hard to make convo and she was literally answering with “ya” or “no”. She left and I thought she wasn’t into me. My friend later told me she was begging for my number and was too afraid to ask me lol. Long story short, shyness can sometimes mean the girl is just really into you!

Went on a first date for the first time in a year. We decided to go to the movies. BIG MISTAKE. I felt like we only talked for 15 mins and then watched the movie and went home. Don’t go on a movie date unless it’s at the end of a dinner date or something more fun. In my opinion, bowling is the best first date. Fun, flirty, competitive, and you aren’t sitting in front of them feeling forced to talk like on a dinner date. Bowl, talk bowl, talk

Ask for her name. She says her name. You respond “I meant your last name”

You have two options. 1) Accept that what you are doing isn’t working, move on and find a different avenue/goal to obtain happiness and accomplishment. 2) Continue your goal of getting with girls. (I’d choose this one) look at this as a challenge you’ve got to overcome. It sounds like you are waiting for a friends “go-ahead she likes you” before doing anything. (I’m guilty of the same rut). And that stems from fear of rejection. Lurk on this sub more, improve your own life and self confidence, a…
