My point is there is no carte blanche right to go mental on someone who assualts you. There is a right to do what is necessary to defend yourself. What is "necessary" is contextual. And sorry, but size is relevant. If a kid hits me, I can easily grab the kid to prevent him hitting me. If a petite girl hits me and I can easily grab her to prevent her from hitting me, that's what I should do. I don't need to punch her in the face.
