That's an interesting and helpful analysis, thank you!

Did you come up with those just now? They're hilarious.

warm up sets This is a very important concept that I've only recently noticed (with the help of MDMA, but still). The sooner you approach your first set of people for the night, the better. (E.g. if you take the bus to town, it can be someone at the bus stop!) For some reason this makes subsequent interactions much easier that night. Maybe it just takes some pressure off. And the longer you take to approach that first set, the harder it's going to be.

My friend's job was to point out a pretty girl and if I didn't go talk to her then I would give my friend a 20. Good motivation! You had my upvote at this point already. Great idea and great FR. Keep it up mate!

I just don't think those people have much experience if they're making blanket statements about it. The thing is... If you get a girl to come home with you, even if you had to work hard for it, don't assume it was her first one-night stand. Since you're fucking her, it's obviously possible to fuck her (see "Anthropic principle"). It is therefore possible for her to have obtained an STI. Most STIs can be present at first without symptoms showing, so when she says she's clean she might not even be…

Part of me was expecting him to put an arm around her or something.

Yes. It's beginning to sound like these people excuse themselves to the bathroom and then use their smartphones to ask the internet, "What should I say next???"

This matter is a bit more complex than that though, isn't it? The social stigmata associated with having zero standards or openly asking for intercourse are much worse for women than for men. This creates an amount of fear that would make the average female think twice about taking your advice.

Happened to a friend of mine once; I helped him out by playing dumb myself (we had both met the girl together a few weeks prior) and asked for her name again, then told him. He got laid. Just an idea, and this is highly dependent on your particular situation, but getting a (reliable) friend to somehow meet her and ask her name could be an effective (and sneaky) way out of it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
