LGBT activists are men’s rights activists. homophobes are radical feminists. i used this analogy because everyone knows that homophobia wrong, so if that’s the only talking point the LGBT activists brought up, when I asked them questions about their movement, I’d be turned off. I actually had this discussion with my girlfriend who as a teenager was a feminist, but after lots of radicalization and different waves with different ideas, she doesn’t use the umbrella term of feminist anymore but is specific about what she supports.
