Yeah it was more a comment on RP guys thinking Korea is some trad heaven when women (at least in cities) are reportedly less interested in marriage and kids than women anywhere else.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/22 08:39 PM

There was a recent poll of 33 global cities on topics of family and marriage and I believe Seoul had the highest rates in the world of women who were fine with not marrying, who wanted few or no kids etc.

I hope they choose the airlines again, I think throwing good money after bad is sound economic policy.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/22 07:09 PM

I’m glad too but they tend to have an annoying habit of running to the government with a sob story and their hand out.

That house also had super interesting bronze armor that I guess I’ll never learn more about thanks GRRM.

I don't think that's true anymore, but in the past blonde hair and blue eyes were considered ideals for beauty, but there were a ton of different connotations, like some blondes had an English rose sort of beauty (Princess Di) and some were girl next door (like Betty from the Archie comics or Doris Day), some were bombshells like Marilyn Monroe and some were California Girl archetypes like Pamela Anderson (even if she's not from CA). But really I think that being more Euro-centric looking they w…

I think that if you are going to base your whole dating/marriage life on stats, which isn't really advisable but which many people on here seem to want to do, you can't suddenly discard all the stats you personally don't like.

He did it twice. Betty was younger and almost literally a trophy wife (wasn’t she a showroom window model?). He was annoyed with her immaturity and married another immature trophy wife. But he usually cheated with women closer to his own age.

Divorce stats only count in n count threads. For this one we hand-wave them away in favor of “my uncle married a younger woman and they seem happy.”

Usually with someone less attractive, Brad Pitt being the notable exception. The prettiest women usually want to be first chair, not second.

A small bit of this can be explained by the fact there is a lot of red tape and strict income requirements in the US to adopt domestically. Most of it can be explained by the fact that there are very few healthy, normal, non-damaged babies, especially white ones, and that is what most people — at least the ones claiming they want to adopt so very badly — want. Let’s put it this way. The families want Chad babies. They won’t settle. But they still want them. Edit: I suppose that comes off harsh. …

No, they'll just somehow argue those women are outliers and probably ugly anyway, and the vast majority of women and 100% of hot women want huge dicks. I've been down this road on here. I won't name names but there's a certain trash forager who will probably be along shortly anyway.

This will probably get deleted due to not being in the sun’s scope. We had a ratings thread…maybe we will have another but I’m not sure. I feel like at 46 you are a bit past the “machinations” stage, or should be. Also it probably helps if you have a target demographic of women in mind. If you want young, social women your look should be different from if you want a family-oriented woman in her 30s or a career women in her 40s.

In good news: you are 24. Wasting a summer is not terrible, especially if you learned something valuable about yourself and some male behaviors. In bad news: people tend to attribute good qualities to people they find attractive, and make excuses for shit behavior. You may find yourself tempted to do it again, but hopefully won't.

Strong powerful women aren't necessarily good people. Are people unaware of this? Mary Tudor, Margaret Thatcher, Marie de Guise, Livia, Cleopatra -- even Elizabeth I cut off her cousin's head. Many women leaders did extremely unsavory things. Edit: forgot Isabella the 'she-wolf' of France

I remember the pre-Angels era when the catalogues were mostly clothes/pajamas and they seemed to come every week. Then it was like a light switched on and the company realized men, maybe even more so than women, wanted to look at women in underwear and they shifted course quite quickly.

I fail to see how you are "geriatric" without growing up around many Tracies and Dianes (Diane was even the main female character on "Cheers"). I imagine Diana experienced a surge in the early 80s and late 90s. Sharon is more of an Irish name, popular with Irish immigrant/heritage families, but it was big in the 20th century. Rachael has been extremely popular for eons, literally, considering it's a big Old Testament name. What ARE the normal names of your generation? You keep posting names that…

Actually it was "Mad Men," when Peggy's mother said, "If you're lonely, get a cat. When it dies, get another one. When it dies, get another one. And then you're done." Of course, this was 1966 or so and the fate worse than death her mother feared was unmarried cohabitation with a Jewish guy, not dying alone, but still.

I'm from there. It's never been a great place. Crime is up lots of places, though. Also, we have to be careful with year-to-year crime statistics because 2020 and 2021 had pandemic stuff going on, and crime was generally lower those two years in most places as a result. So 2022 crime rates should be examined vs. non-pandemic years for a bit more of an accurate reading. Penn used to be way rougher back in the 80s, it's not so bad now.

She would have been perfect to make people like the royal family but they let her spiral down and then launched a press attack…they were so tone deaf they didn’t realize the press and the people will nearly always support a beautiful (this part was crucial), fragile human underdog against Goliath. Not irrelevant but you see them less. Your world often shrinks to the size of the house. Also your own friends have children so between the two it’s hard to meet in person. I used to do play dates with my friends as we all had kids within a year or two of each other but those are kind of frantic. Dinners out can be done but you need to get a sitter.

Books. I read books all the time. I had a library card. I also did crossword puzzles and word searches. Sometimes I’d ride my bike or walk to the playground. I had a Barbie, a Ken, and a Skipper doll; I’d sometimes play with those and with Legos. I was a latchkey kid so I was home alone after school, starting in second grade.

That’s quoted from a book but she has a point. Men don’t want the woman who orders salad on a date and was late because she was applying her makeup perfectly. They want the woman who eats burgers and drinks beer while smiling and then secretly works it off at the gym the next day, and who spent forever on “natural” makeup. They don’t want to see the effort.

Because throughout history, most women (ie, non-rich ones, the vast majority of people) had to birth a bunch of babies with no painkillers, work in the fields or on the farm, work long hours in kitchens or as maids/servants, etc. Most of us are spoiled. However, the same can be said that most men aren't toiling in a field 14 hours a day, physically protecting his women/children, hunting for food, etc.

/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/22 01:54 AM
4

One of mine had been declawed 😾 Declaw your cat and then decide to move to a non-pet apartment and dump him in the pound. But we loved him.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/22 01:11 AM
5

Yup, my older cat was the sweetest ever. I remember being heavily pregnant and she’d extend her paw to touch my arm while I was lying down. 🥰
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/22 01:10 AM
5

And why should a woman not want to avoid your baggage?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/22 01:00 AM
6

So many. I’d love to say it’s only immature college kids but it’s also families whose kids grow tired of the cat…anyone, really. I only adopt adult cats. One was 10 and they were going to put her down but i took her and she lived to the age of 20 and was incredibly sweet. Another one was a former kitten who had been with a family but they brought her back when she was a year old because she wasn’t a kitten anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/22 12:58 AM
13

Many people only love the kittens while they are kittens and dump them in the alley when they aren’t young anymore. I volunteered at a shelter. This is common both for felines and humans.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/22 12:51 AM

But they want this. They want to be the baggage.

Can it be replaced? Then just buy a new one. If it's great-grandma's heirloom explain how valuable it is and ask if you can retrieve it, but honestly if you're fishing for a reason to go to his house to try to reel him back in...this will not work. If it's sentimental and can't be replaced I think he'll understand why you need to pick it up; otherwise, write it off as gone.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/22 11:06 PM

I don't think the tier of woman stops him cheating, though. I think he's an across-the-board rake.

Unfortunately, some women love to play Captain Save-a-Hoe. And very young women are more likely to believe the sob stories about terrible exes and the upstanding, perfect Main Character. "I'm so jaded, could your purity be what I need to believe again?" etc etc
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/22 09:19 PM
11

Yeah, my experience was a combo of guys 2 and 5: nice person, not much of a mentor, smart, but also condescending when disagreed with, and came loaded with baggage. I realize the men have spun their own baggage into something they love to call "life experiences," but it's just baggage.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/22 09:10 PM

Why do I feel there's another shoe about to drop after this question? But no. Plastic surgery is pretty dangerous, or at least I have read enough medical studies (through work) detailing cases where it ended up killing, paralyzing, or disfiguring people that I'd never do it.

I'm not sure, but it's interesting that if you go to a yarn store for knitting, a hobby that's overwhelmingly female, you don't see any of this shit. Very little pink. No cutesy scissors or needles in pink packaging. No infantilization. Same in fabric stores. The "here's the same product as for men but we colored it pink so you know it's OK for you to use, now pay me $1.50 more" seems to be something you see only in larger stores catering to men and women.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 11:05 PM

Or if you just keep the product and its name and stamp the words "For Her" on it.

It was awful. I'm pretty sure he even had to pay to bet it published in some random small college's literary journal. What's weird is that when he was a journalist or writing essays he was an excellent writer. But he can't resist the urge to Mary Sue the fuck out of himself in fiction.

The opposite can be true. You could use homelessness as a baseline and conclude the average is a 200-square-foot house, a couch, and 1 meal a day.

Your first paragraph sounds like dating in the US before online dating took off. Most people met through friends and social circle in get-togethers at bars, restaurants, parties. Average guy probably had a few long-term (6 months-2 years) relationships and maybe 1 or 2 ONS/hookups. IME it was the men who were harder to pin down between 22 and 26 because they wanted to explore; after that they tended to want to settle down. I think without the Internet people tended to socialize more because othe…

Yup! I don’t like it as much. Psychologically I get freaked out without a rope, especially on an overhang, when I think “If I fall, I’m going to land right on my spine.” Even controlled falls can hurt if I’m above 10 feet. And I’m not very good at it. Even when I was up to 5.11a top rope I couldn’t handle a V2.

Woman (44) here: My best body ever came from rock climbing 4-5 days a week. Great muscle tone and definition but proportionate to the body (not bulky). Alas, it requires a partner and I’ve struggled to find one. Now it’s spin cycle classes 3x a week plus weights 2x a week because I’m as basic as it gets.

I mean, SES and education and intelligence don't always correlate, and you in fact named three jobs that require a bachelor's (teacher, paralegal, secretary...all the secretaries where I work, at least, have a 4-year degree; teachers even have master's degrees usually). My response was pushing back against the idea that education, being well-read/intellectually curious, etc. didn't count, and "young and hot" were the *only* criteria.

We are pretending class isn’t a thing when it is. But I don’t think a woman has to be a CEO or engineer or anything. A well-read nurse or teacher can fit into a high-earning guy’s social circle. But “hot and dumb” ain’t it.

/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/22 04:40 PM

Many RP guys are lower class or introverted STEMlords who don’t understand the social matrix or how old school educated UMC guys operate. I dated a lawyer, a surgeon, and a finance guy. I also met their colleagues’ wives and GFs. Not a single waitress, stripper or hot airhead among them. It’s absolutely hilarious how wrong the men on here (with the exception of purplish) are.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/22 03:59 PM
16

If you work alone, or maybe in a STEM field full of socially awkward individuals, perhaps. But what will happen when one of the partners at your law firm invites you and your 90 IQ wife over for dinner? And his wife, who maybe went to an Ivy herself, finds herself struggling to talk to a woman who is very limited in her discussion topic range? What do you think that wife will say to her husband later? How do you think that will help your position at work? The female social matrix is a thing and …

There was some analysis that back in, I dunno, 1900 maybe, the top 20 most popular children's names (Thomas, Edward, George, William; Mary, Elizabeth, Anne) accounted for like 50% of all children's names. Now it's something like the top 20 names account for 1% of all names because people keep inventing crazier ones or weirder spellings for existing ones, always wanting to be different.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/22 03:08 PM
6

That's not true. I work around highly educated men and dated highly educated and high earning men and married one. They aren't looking for a 22-year-old stripper/hot Waffle House waitress to knock up. RP men on this sub are mostly lower class (or STEM autists) and it shows.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/22 03:00 PM

They didn't choose their names, dude. That said there does seem to be a correlation between a parent who just had to name their kid something super duper cool and unique and a kid who grows up thinking they're the best thing since sliced bread.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/22 02:55 PM
15

You’re asking this here? Asking for painting advice in a sub for the blind comes to mind. That said the men will likely want a woman with a bachelor’s degree and a job that is at least middle tier (teacher, nurse, office worker are fine; waitress, cashier, hairdresser are not). Men on here will say your job doesn’t matter but there aren’t a ton of male doctors and lawyers on here. Trust me, no lawyer is bringing a fry cook to his boss’ house for a work function. Be attractive and agreeable. Ask …

Why do women not brag? Female social matrix for one. You don't want to be *that* woman whose friends shun her because she can't be trusted with their husbands/boyfriends. You have also broken "the rules" of sisterhood and stabbed another woman in the back. Also, being the mistress may sound hot but you are being put in second place automatically (or third if there are kids)...most women want to be first. Unless a guy leaves his wife for her (which would trigger the whole female social matrix any…

I talked to a sex worker or two on here a while back and they said that they have noticed a sharp increase in men wanting abusive, degrading sex acts in the past 10-15 years; they feel it’s due to porn. I don’t think choking and spitting were that popular outside fetish communities back in, say, 1999.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/22 03:33 PM

Yeah. There was a rating thread, now removed, yesterday where it was basically the filtered/surgically altered/makeup/Facetuned women were put on top (or even as “a 7”) and the one woman who I would argue was the “average woman” (no makeup, no filter, I’d say a 5/6 because she wasn’t fat) was rated a 3. This post doesn’t explore the looks threshold for men, but I think men are absolutely being influenced by photo manipulation and social media into having a warped idea of “average”
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/22 03:23 PM

I do think their fears are rational and I do think this is a big issue. I think other posters are focusing on the “drunk party girl” and not on the sober woman who simply regrets it later.

Fear of AIDS. I can’t believe the stories I hear from so many zoomers about bareback hookups with people they don’t know. I keep thinking of HIV lessons in health class in 1993.

I…never actually read it. But I know roughly what the plot is. Rich guy, naive self-insert virgin, he teaches her about sex, he plays around with BDSM (though I’ve read real doms/subs say the whole thing is BS), she gets him to fall in love with her.

Well…guys have always tried to talk their way into a woman’s pants. That’s not new. And it’s always a challenge figuring it out (the misconception on this sub that average/less attractive guys never try to just get a one-night stand is weird to me…average dudes want to score like anyone else). But I think it’s hard to sift through the sheer volume of attention women get and figure out which three-line texts are from Good Guys and which aren’t. I feel bad for guys caught in a sea of messages
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/22 06:17 AM

A thing, yes. A fetish, and something easily put down as a baseline filter? No. The point is you can filter based on height, down to the inch, now. Six three is also an outlier. Do you think a woman out at a bar can tell the difference between five ten and six feet? No. Between five ten and six three? Yes, but you have to admit your height is rare. How many six three guys are in a bar, club, gym, wherever at any given time? You’re approaching this as a guy at an extreme end of the spectrum. Also…

No, most people lost their virginity by the end of college unless they were religious or had some severe physical abnormality. People had premarital sex; it wasn’t a big deal. People did have more LTRs though. And usually average men and women had roughly equal numbers of partners, usually single or low double digits, men maybe slightly higher.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/22 05:56 AM
21

Yeah. I mean there is some internal/natural desire for women to like taller men, but height fetishism to the extent I see it now is fucked up. I never heard any woman say anything about six feet back then. That would have been weird. Did some just think it? Maybe. Not to this extent though. Gym bodies…some guys had them, most didn’t. But you’re at a bar you can’t tell if he’s muscular because he’s wearing a sweater. By the time you’ve decided to sleep with him, you’re kind of emotionally investe…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/22 05:47 AM

Yeah this is an issue. Back in the day you were competing against the 30 guys in the bar that night, half of whom were probably old or not single, not all the hundreds of single guys in a 10-mile radius.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/22 05:20 AM
56

I’m your age I think. It seems like some men think the pre-OLD era was “fair” or balanced, where hot people got hookups and average people did LTRs. Men and women. So most average people had roughly the same amount of experience/partners. I’m guessing what people are upset about is OLD made it easier for average women, but not average men, to vault themselves into the happy hookup category. They want the number of options and frequency of sex they think all average women are having.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/22 04:58 AM

The girl who got the fat sucked out of her cheeks will regret it as she ages. It’s not going to look good after age 30-35. The tragedy is she was very pretty and feminine before.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/22 02:33 AM
7

The girl you rated as a 3 is what a normal, average girl (maybe a 5-6) looks like with no filter and no makeup. Some of the others (particularly the 9s) are filtered/FaceTuned and made up to high heaven. This shows how brainwashed people are by filters, social media, makeup and plastic surgery, my god.

Yeah, but degree creep is a thing. When I graduated I was able to get a job that paid enough to live on and pay off my loans, which were much smaller due to lower tuition, with a bachelor's degree. The same type of entry-level job now offers about $5K more in pay, 20 years later, and requires a journalism master's degree, with internship experience preferred (I worked in media, those things are always unpaid).

Red pillers acting like they invented grooming when both my grandfathers and the vast majority of other men, blue collar ones, of their generation were rather meticulous with their hair, nails and clothing will never not be funny.

Haha. But that is kind of the case in other spaces. I mean, it’s why Curves became a thing. And why bars/clubs had ladies’ night or would let women in for free while guys paid. Online dating did change a lot. I often wonder if I would have slept around more if it was as easy as swiping, and not a case of getting dressed up to go out to a bar where there were like 3 single guys under 60 that night. Or where I just wasn’t into the 10 guys there, as opposed to the 500 in my 5-mile radius. Back then…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/22 07:13 PM
4

Yeah. I’m 44. I was there. I wasn’t into casual, though. Maybe they feel like women “knew their place” more back then? I understand social media has warped things in terms of beauty standards, but at no point in history was it especially easy for a dead average guy to get a lot of (or even a decent amount of) enthusiastic sex from women he was attracted to.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/22 06:40 PM

Back in their beloved 1940s-1960s many average guys had either no premarital sex, or they had it once or twice with an average-looking hooker. Or they married at 18, had some kids, and by 30 were sleeping in separate beds with some occasional duty sex. Most of the guys here are young, though, and don't realize how people lived back then because their grandparents aren't that old.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/22 06:28 PM

It's the same as when people romanticize the past. They always view themselves as the king or lord. They probably would have been the serf whose body broke down and teeth fell out by 40. Or they view themselves as Don Draper when likely they would have been Joe Average paper-pusher whose equally average wife had unenthusiastic duty sex with them once in a while. These things aren't even insults, it's just a fact most of us are average and very, very few people, historically, have come out on top…

The entire argument being predicated on the idea OP is attractive. OP is attractive, OP gets no attention from women he feels are beneath him, ERGO women don’t care about looks. The idea OP isn’t as attractive as he thinks he is would send this and all his other houses of cards tumbling, of course.

It coincides with the small segment of sexually frustrated men who wank to the idea that all men will soon lay down their tools (or keyboards) and stop working because the women they want aren’t having sex with them. And then society will collapse and be reborn.

I used a condom with every last person until a test. I can't express how terrifying AIDS was to kids in the early 90s. It was certain death. I'll probably never outgrow that, just like how my grandparents never truly outgrew a fear of polio. But I don't want syphilis either. I mean, I can't understand not using condoms with someone who hasn't been tested, especially if you aren't monogamous. It wouldn't even be enjoyable.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/22 07:09 PM

Yeah, this seems to be the biggest generational divide. People who came of age before antiretroviral HIV drugs existed were way more careful about using condoms, I think. In my 20s (late 90s-00s) I didn't know anyone who would go without with a stranger. In relationships, people would use BC pills. I used condoms unless/until we both took an STD/HIV test and got a clean bill of health. I'd still do that today. Sorry, I wasn't about to die painfully for bareback. EDIT: Are these stats talking cas…

No, we were immature 20 years ago and I am also your age. Although back then I remember it seemed like men wanted to "have their fun" ages 20-27 or so, then settle down, while women were more relationship-minded. But then again, before the Internet getting laid required more legwork and social skills and luck.

I worked in medical literature (scientific texts) for a time, and “female” has been perfectly acceptable as an adjective but not as a noun. Same with “male.” You used either “women” or “men” for adults, or girls/boys for children under 18. The only time you use the noun form of females or males was when you had a mixed age range of kids and adults. This rule predates the pills/fourth-wave feminism by many decades, so it has been considered bad form to use “females” and “males” for quite some tim…

Some men may have a job where they have to move a lot, or they are sent to work in a remote area or otherwise there’s a situation where a woman leaves her job so he can continue his career, and she has a hard time securing one equal to her previous one. Usually that is where alimony comes in. That said, very, very few spouses get alimony. It is child support that most people get (and people will conflate child support and alimony on purpose to try to push their narratives).

It’s just one pier. There are rides (Ferris wheel is fun, there’s a galleon and a little roller coaster) and an arcade. There is a restaurant with fried fish and surprisingly decent beer. There is also a carousel. You can walk along the beach or else on the sidewalk on a promenade type deal. No boardwalk though (that’s Venice Beach).

There are a few public ones. I’ve gone to them early (like 10 am) and they’re quiet. I’ve also gone to Santa Monica beach and liked it, but the traffic there is a pain. I feel like the point of Santa Monica is the pier and crowds but if you aren’t into that you should go where it’s quieter. Edit: I think Will Rogers beach is halfway between them. I think it shaped expectations in real life, whether women copying what they saw in film/TV or men wanting to act out what they were seeing in movies/TV/porn of the period (the period being the 90s and beyond). I have enough money that she shouldn’t be desperate or stupid enough to get married at 18, to a middle-aged man no less. I also don’t see myself raising someone dumb enough to sign a prenup. If somehow I have raised a moron doing both I have only myself to blame, I suppose

Surely if you grew up in the 1980s and 1990s, as I did too, you'd know that the top of the male food chain according to pop culture was the blond haired, blue eyed jock. Only toward the late 1990s did we start getting ethnic diversity at all in terms of male beauty. Now, we have young women thirsting for KPop and alternative-looking eboys. Can you imagine high school girls going for a KPop type in the 1980s? I think male and female beauty standards have expanded and shifted but not changed. For …

That said, GoT doesn't even really have many ideas about chivalry and knighthood, it's much more about power and politics. No, the whole Sansa storyline is about knighthood and chivalry. Knights are good, noble people who protect little girls and women. But then they beat her up. The only one who doesn't is ugly, but he also will kill kids if told to do so and is vicious in other ways. Sansa is pretty much an insert of what happens when a character who believes in courtly love gets dropped into,…

Chivalry and courtly love were a way to channel the more savage or violent desires and tendencies of the many unmarried or "leftover" noble (or at least higher echelon) men. The idea was to fixate on an unattainable (usually married) woman and selflessly love her; her being married, you couldn't have sex with her (in theory). This removed the base desires of sex and packaged the rest in a nice, pseudo-spiritual package where you strive for purity in love by focusing it on something unattainable.…

It was Freud who originated or at least put it into words, I believe. The idea is that the mother of your children should not be tainted by carnality. And thus men shouldn’t be aroused by the women they were marrying (marriage being for impregnation purposes). You could have sex with your wife but neither one of you was supposed to like it much. Men instead work out and project their desire onto prostitutes (literally, usually, although any lower-class girl you didn’t respect would do). Sex bein…

I think her premise is valid. I think the assumption is "how to tell if a guy only wants sex from you". Which is not to say he only wants it from anyone, period. If a guy says "I'm not looking for anything serious" to me, I fill in the "with you" at the end mentally. I don't assume he isn't open to it with any woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/22 07:44 PM
4

I think in the cases I was talking about the guy didn't shut it down, because he liked the attention, but he kept the "oh, we're just casual" as his get out of jail free card in case he found someone better, if that makes sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/22 07:36 PM
7

The "I can change him" can be strong. I never did casual stuff because I knew I'd fall into the "I'll make him love me" trap. That said, I remember reading posts from guys who basically acted like boyfriends (taking women out to dinner, concerts, spending the night, cuddling, cooking together, etc) and then got shocked when the women thought they were boyfriend/girlfriend. Like "we see each other twice a week and spend the weekends together, but I told her this was just casual!"
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/22 05:51 PM
14

I think, as noted above, any guy who says "I'm not looking for anything serious" (or sometimes more euphemistically, "I just got out of a relationship" which is also a signal, though a weaker one). Not meeting any of his friends. Most guys I dated lived pretty far from their family, so that wasn't as much of a sign, but friend circle is still one indication he views you as something serious. Not giving out much info about himself, his life, etc. Being vague. Guys who want to keep you at arm's le…

/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/22 04:59 PM

Yes, but the OP was about guys having lower standards (or maybe "flexible" standards) for hot women. It wasn't about women's standards for men. Men don't like seeing the gender-flipped version of "hot women get a pass on promiscuity", which is when hot guy gets sex easier than the less hot guy. Really attractive people get more leeway, that's just how life is.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/22 04:32 PM
2

Yes, studies show happiness dips after having kids (when they are young, so usually 30s/40s) and then goes back up again. And around 40 you become aware of all the doors closing, things you probably won't get to do. In life, not just sex or love.

I don't agree with OP that *all* men care. I think quite a few don't care (aside from extreme cases). We even have some RP/PP posters on here who say they don't. I think many do care but to varying degrees, some not very much and some a lot. But the ones that say or believe they care quite a bit probably will toss aside those concerns for a really attractive woman. After age 25 or so I wasn't asked about mine either.

Well to be fair I'm probably focusing on the upper end of SBs, among wealthy people (old money or venture capitalists or bankers, the Roys of the world) as opposed to men who are pretty well-off but not necessarily the "jackpot" for marriage (middle-to-upper tier tech guys). I love "Succession"! Connor's GF is probably the SB archetype. Much younger, attractive, certainly not dumb or low-class but also not taken seriously by the rest of the family.

I have a BP-ish outlook but I’ve always said a man will throw away pretty much all his “hard and fast rules” (n count, paying for a date) if the woman is attractive enough. 24-year-old Cindy Crawford accepts a date with you, you’re not making her pay half or saying “hmmm…10 bodies is a bit much.” I think there are limits, like some men wouldn’t dare a former prostitute even if she looked like Marilyn Monroe. And they wouldn’t date Christina Hendricks if she said she had been with 200 men. But as…

If you are an SB because you need money for a place to live, medical procedure (US specific), travel, savings, whatever…you bang an old guy for a year and keep quiet about it (don’t tell friends/family) and you can probably walk off with a bunch of money and nobody knowing any better. If you see sugaring as a way to ascend into the upper class, that’s another story. Rich women aren’t known for being welcoming to poor ones who cut the line. I think generally the higher the social class, the less …

OK, but you are 25. This was in the dating over 40 sub, where 40 is the bare minimum. Now, is 40 old enough to roll over and never leave the house? No. But people do slow down a little. Last year I did make a 1.5-hour climb of an ascent of 600 m (it was hot, frequent water breaks) on a rather steep grade in France. Was it impossible? No. Did it take longer and feel harder than when I was 19 and did it the first time? Yeah. Also, I feel like her complaint was not that different from men who compl…

Those women aren’t the only options, especially if he’s moved into a higher professional/educational level. He can date women his own age or younger. He can date casually or not. He can sleep around or not. He has more time before he needs to marry and have kids. There are many pathways open to an attractive 31-year-old guy and not a terrible amount of time pressure yet. If he doesn’t want kids he has even less pressure.

My favorite story for RP was the guy in his mid-40s who picked up a “perfect 10” 21-year-old waitress and got all the dirty, kinky sex she wouldn’t give to her college football player boyfriend. “I’m at my sexual prime” he said. He bragged how he was hot but his wife no longer had any SMV. Then he revealed he was paying the waitress $500 per fuck. And all the guys were jerking each other off about how older men can get girls to lose their inhibitions. As if it’s his age and not the $500 that got…

The youth tell me FWB is either a platonic friend you fuck when you're both single and lonely, or someone you have sex with repeatedly but also do other stuff with too, like watch a movie or make dinner, without the expectation it'll lead to love and marriage or the expectation of monogamy. Fuck buddy is someone who comes over, bangs, leaves. At least this is how I understood it...

I mean, I never did FWB. At my age (early 40s) I'm going to guess the most likely scenario is I hook up with someone a little younger and we both just understand the limitations and temporary nature of it. That's not to say FWB wouldn't happen with someone my own age or a little older, just thinking of circumstances that mean a guy would never have been a relationship candidate, only FWB.

I can see this. There are plenty of people who are brought up in a super-strict environment who rebel and party hard (Amish people, for example) because they snap. But you have to wonder if they return to the community just because they get burnt out on the lifestyle, or because they are lonely without any family support and feel pressure to return. Either way, I'd say raising someone in a super-strict environment makes it unlikely they'd be able to find a balance in life, probably will just go …

Usually in the evangelical south you are either religious from Day 1 (virgin until marriage) or you are "religious" (bang drunkenly on Saturday night after Bama wins but go to church Sunday without fail, usually they marry another "religious" party person at 24 and become trad Christian parents together). The idea of someone being a total hedonist and then scurrying off to church as a born-again at 27 or whatever to rope in a virginal Christian boy is mostly some weird RP cuck fantasy.

One of the better ways I saw it put was that RP took an idea on female sexuality — that women are attracted to and fear uncontrolled male sexuality and get turned on by a man who shows it but chooses to tame it at times just for them — and somehow turned it into a chubby guy on his fourth beer on the sofa ordering a woman to clean the floor and make him a sandwich because he’s the “alpha”. Yeah the worst case scenario guys give on here — woman marries for financial security and stops having sex — was way more common back then. People seem to think that back 60-80 years ago women were having enthusiastic, lifelong sex with guys they married for stability. At least it seems that way when they yearn for this golden age. Back then if an “average” guy wanted premarital sex he would go to a hooker.

I mean, in anecdotal experience my attorney said my spouse would get 50-50 custody if he wanted it (as he has the means and ability to care for the child and no criminal or otherwise bad behavior), and this is California, the most woman-friendly state there is. I think a lot of men don't try for 50-50 but complain anyway about not getting it.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/22 05:27 PM

Most men do not seek 50-50 custody though. That's just statistics. More than half of men award the mother custody without any contest. Men who meet criteria for 50-50 custody can get it *but they do not seek it* usually.

Child support is often awarded in order to keep the child living in the standard to which he/she was accustomed during marriage. The man or sometimes woman pays more so that the kid can live nearby if it's an expensive area, especially if the parents are seeking 50-50 custody. If he isn't seeking 50-50, he pays more because that kid is eating and using electricity and gas and other stuff funded by the mother more. Generally men who are fathers don't say "you know? No. Don’t Ask Don’t Tell is the way to go. I think that unless you’re into cuck or cuckquean stuff, the reality of seeing your partner enjoy sex with someone else (or knowing it) is enough to destabilize everything. I also would never do a threesome with anyone I cared about for this reason.

Yes. If a woman stays home to raise a kid she will have an extremely hard time finding a job that pays enough to support herself later on. Employees hate resume gaps like the plague. In theory they think all women have the capacity to be evil gold-digging whores and like 80% are, but if you Learn the Secrets you can manage those behaviors, so that's how they hamster away the search for the unicorn. I think in reality most RP guys would prefer to have plates for eternity but they realize their limitations and are OK with finding a regular hole to fuck for free.

I'm sure this comment thread will not turn into revenge fantasy story hour. Men on this sub hate old women almost as much as they hate young ugly ones. Older people are less desirable. The article did note that dads who do not receive child support from deadbeat moms are richer than those who do receive child support from moms. Whereas women who don’t receive child support from deadbeat dads are poorer than moms who do. I would argue that women who don’t get custody are more likely to have a severe issue (addiction, mental illness) as the reason. I’d like to see something on the income of women who aren’t awarded custody vs men who aren’t. It’s known that far more men than wom…

In the 2% chance this isn’t a troll… If there are few lactating escorts, there are probably very few lactating women looking to hook up. Hollywood has never really sold much of real life. Indie filmmakers, maybe, and usually those roles for women are more nuanced. If in real life you stuck 50-year-old Julianne Moore or Demi Moore or Julia Louis-Dreyfus in front of a bunch of average Joe 35-year-old guys, I'm pretty sure they'd be thrilled (if we're using Hollywood actors as a barometer).

Maybe online dating distorted stuff? It’s kind of alien to me because I dated 20-something guys in my 20s (in the late 90s/2000s) and they always seemed to have had about or slightly above my level of experience. And they usually were single for months, not years (so was I).

Most men over 50 are looking to date younger women. Everyone knows this. Where TRP and BP may diverge is in how many men will get those women. Many men might hold out for their unicorn for a long time. Many women may just shrug and get hookups off online dating and give up on dating unless someone exceptional comes along. Also, 50-somethings are Gen X, not Greatest Generation. Some of y’all are acting like a 55-year-old grew up in the 1950s. The 1990s, with their egalitarianism, “PC culture,” wo…

I guess duty sex from a 25-year-old is sweeter than mutually desired sex from a 38-year-old? Because let’s be real, outside of a few daddy fetish types, the average 50-year-old man is not really sexually arousing to a woman in her early 20s. Even a fit 50-year-old isn’t going to evoke anywhere near the same level of desire as a guy in his 20s and 30s.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/22 02:05 PM

A guy with brown eyes is tops. Most of the interest I got in my life was from blond/blue eyed guys though, for some reason.

It is revenge fantasy. Even that verbose, stream-of-consciousness-esque 50-something RP guru who claims to only bang 20-somethings said only like 10% of younger women will really go for significantly older men. RP tells men they can catch this 10% by following These Easy Steps. It’s true that men on here act like wanting only younger women somehow means those women automatically want them back, which isn’t the case.

How old are you? If you’re over 35, it is possible those subgroups of women have higher age limits set (and also older women are more likely to have had kids). If not…I don’t know. Sorry.

Oh, that’s true. I got for major depressive disorder. I think sometimes people say get therapy because they suspect someone has a deeper issue than the surface one they’re writing about. But OCD, for example, is one thing that I think people misuse all the time. I wouldn't say women are "looking for" men 10 years older than they are, but most might be at least open to it depending on the man. Generally, marriages between women and men who are 10 years older than those women tend to disintegrate at a higher rate than smaller gaps, though I think it really ramps up at 15 years' gap, and at 20 years' gap it seems all but certain to end in divorce. But as for men? Yeah, they don't want to date a woman 10 years older. Probably aren't even enough of those mar…

I mean, she could have 1 partner and he could’ve covered her face in spunk, fucked her in a bathroom, given it to her every which way, etc. And virgins are rare. I think after 26, a guy may have that mental image but he probably covered some woman’s face with cum, fucked some woman in public, etc, himself, so he cares less. I’m not advocating an obsession with these mental images; I’m just saying number of partners doesn’t always correlate with sex acts performed.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 02:51 PM

*Traditionally OK girlfriend. I don’t make any claims of hotness. Edit: I guess “hot” applies since he actively encouraged me to get that body type and claimed to love it, so it was “hot” to him, in theory.

I think also it’s a situation where women instinctively recoil a bit because they can see themselves as the wife one day, with a happy husband cheating. Not good. If you tell the women “my wife is such a nag” they can reassure themselves they won’t be that type of wife and thus won’t get cheated on, so it’s ok.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 01:41 PM

But with “and” you are referring to both, and it’s plural. If you have a singular and plural in an “or” choice like “either the cat or the dogs are coming over here” (which is kind of bad phrasing but whatever) you put the plural noun last and use the plural verb. At least this is how I was taught.

Well, uncomplicated affection is easy from an affair partner. There’s no frustration about who forgot to pack the toddler’s snack, who lost the car keys, how to handle discipline, etc. There’s only sex and camaraderie and escape. And if the (if single) affair partner wants more she gets a talk about priorities and complications and “you knew this going in” and she must accept what is given. Also, it’s not exactly unheard of for men to lie about their home life to get a sympathetic woman in bed. …

On “some” level, all. Like I can’t think of many men who will not care at all about a woman with 150 partners. Virgin wife I would put at 5% because outside of super religious people and hardcore trad guys most don’t expect that. The rest I think is a sliding scale and hard to define. Maybe 90% of men care if she has over 50 partners. Maybe 40% care if it’s over 20 partners. There are very few advantages to being non-promiscuous, speaking as a non-promiscuous person. Yes, you see men go for other women who make themselves sexually available immediately. Oh. Him. He’s one of the more mental ones, and that’s saying something.

Because you presented it as an “OR” situation. As if one sex got one, and the other got the other. Women get both.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/22 09:14 AM

What makes you think women don’t get both? We get mugged too.

Yeah probably the most would be in the 30-50 group, with outliers in the 50-55 range.

I did it. It was fine. I dunno, I mean Americans tend to be similar culturally so it’s not a huge thing. At least it wasn’t for us.

Didn’t you recently say women are happy when their man bangs hookers at a Motel 6, as long as it isn’t a nice hotel?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/22 06:38 PM

Oh, yeah, when women seek stuff out it’s “ABNORMAL” interest; when men seek out the same stuff they are “intellectually curious.” 😂

A “dig” is an insult, Sad_Top.

Ignore these guys. As if men don’t whine and whine women won’t fuck them immediately and they’re “forced” to sit through 3 dates until they get sex. Men can always be an adult and demand sex immediately if they want. They don’t. Women are only demanded to be strong when it’s in the man’s favor around here.

It only works one way. Note how many male tantrums ensue over the perfectly biologically logical motivation for women to want to fuck and mate with the hottest men.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/22 07:29 PM

The gymnastics. “You must be so ugly that men are paying for you rather than making you pay half.” They are so desperate to neg they don’t care if it makes sense.

Sorry. He can choose another woman who is a good earner if he doesn’t like it.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/22 06:24 PM

I think so. I also think fewer women had high-paying jobs (especially STEM) in the late 90s/early 00s. I meant guys didn’t whine about the price of a dinner (or some beers).
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/22 06:13 PM
18

I wasn’t even hot and guys paid. It’s more income. If a better-off guy sees your scuffed shoes, worn clothes etc and asks you out anyway, he knows what he’s getting into. That’s on him if he likes you enough to want to take you out. He can chase an attorney if he’s so bent over the price of dinner (and I’m not saying that’s wrong because there are a ton of hot, smart attorneys out there, just if a woman doesn’t earn much, you can next her or pay for her but don’t whine like a bitch she doesn’t w…

This point is always sidestepped neatly in the cheating debate.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/22 04:35 PM
3

Some women can compartmentalize more. I’m not saying I could. Just some can. If you want to have a child…don’t have sex with someone else. I mean, I can’t imagine being not in love with my partner to the point I would cheat, yet being in love with him enough to have a baby with him. I don’t understand when men do it either (have mistresses while trying to have kids with their wives). It makes no sense. I don’t think most people’s feelings work this way. Most people can’t perpetuate that duality …
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/22 04:28 PM
7

Only if he makes more. People making the same can split. There is usually a disparity in income even at the same age. All the women here except me seem to be married to income-matched people and go 50-50. So I don’t know where you get the idea women expect to pay.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/22 04:09 PM
7

So why would your cheating matter more? Presumably you can use protection. As could a man cheating. Are you not bothered by the idea of a man coming home and declaring that he knocked up the woman he’s fucking, and sorry but you two are now on the hook for child support for 18 years, and sorry but that college money set aside for your kid isn’t so certain now? Also, do you want him giving you HIV? Both parties risk STDs.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/22 04:06 PM
16

It does. If you are dating down in age but more so income, you pay. Or don’t date that person. Stick to someone on your level if it matters so much. However, this is the sub of “we don’t care about your career; just be young and hot.” So In theory most men should have no problem paying.

It’s a moot point. If a woman is attractive enough, most men will pay for her dinner. Just like Chad gets fucked right away. There’s your flip side. You’re talking to a sub full of men who believe they’ll be pulling 22-year-olds at 40. I would love to see what happens when these guys ask the hot young dates to split the bill down the middle, though. I’d pay for a first date or multiple dates for someone younger and poorer than me, though I was never in that position.

It feels like the title, first part of the post, and second part have nothing to do with each other. What view is there to challenge? That women don’t like much younger men? That men like younger women? If you want to say our opinions should be disregarded most men here do that for all women anyway, no need to bring our age into it.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 05:16 PM

He was “Chaste-Monk” yesterday, which is admittedly better.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 04:42 PM

This goes for the older men too, of course, I assume. Surely we don’t believe in double standards here.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 03:17 PM

Why should a state with a legal activity care about the origins of people partaking in that legal activity in the confines of that state? No laws are being broken. Texans can do their little Taliban cosplay all they want in the confines of their state now, but they can’t dictate what people in California do in theirs.

Yes but men act like we are supposed to know the “right” man immediately. If we don’t it is our fault. Yet if they are fooled by a woman they expect pity and sympathy. The point is people can be fooled and hindsight is 20/20.

Is the tenet no longer “we are biologically hardwiredTM to spread our seed to as many women as possible”? It’s hard to keep up with the self-justification. And yes I see the trick you’re trying to do with having your cake and eating it too (women want loads of dudes to fuck them but men want loads of women to want only him to fuck them) but it’s disingenuous. At the very least a woman wants men to desire her above all others too.

Most people on here were little kids (or not born) when George W. Bush got elected and didn’t see this coming for 20+ years (I mean, it’s been coming longer than that, but as far as the wide-eyed “I promise after getting this one thing I want I won’t try to take away any more, honest” BS). Not unique to Bush but it really got perfected as an art form under him.

Shhh…there are still some sweet summer children here who think the religious whack jobs that are our government(s) can’t/won’t go after hormonal contraception.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 04:21 PM

Well I also think it’s ridiculous one state can reach out its tentacles all over the place and grab people who are following the law in another state. Nevada has legalized prostitution. And yet where are the laws saying that Arkansas can prosecute Nevadans who drive someone to a legal brothel? Where are the laws saying TN can prosecute a Californian who drives a Tennessean to buy weed that’s legal in CA? It opens up a big set of problems.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 03:57 PM
9

California, Washington and Oregon just told Texas and Missouri and the others to go fuck themselves if they want to prosecute or sue Californians, Oregonians or Washingtonians for helping people in other states access perfectly legal services in the West Coast states. Good.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 08:16 AM
1

Well, that goes without saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 07:35 AM

It would be state legislatures passing bills to ban them, then those laws inevitably getting challenged in court. It takes a few lower court verdicts before a law works its way up to the Supreme Court (takes years, sometimes).
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 04:37 AM

Give it 2 weeks. There’s a holiday coming up.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 04:33 AM

Do you think it’ll just be states first, then the legal challenges meander up to the Supreme Court per usual?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 04:24 AM

They’ve wanted to walk through for 20+ years. Seriously, all this has been forever in the making.

Kavanaugh doesn’t really seem to understand how BC works either, he conflated it with abortion. The opinion in this case is narrower, but there will be another case somewhere (and legislators will look to capitalize on the conflation of BC and abortion to push to get BC banned on a state level).
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/22 05:34 AM

I mean, I’m pissed as hell too but for now birth control pills are still an option. Protect yourselves, ladies. I agree you shouldn’t just fuck guys you don’t respect or who seem to have nothing going on. Aim high.

Yeah I wouldn’t get one but flapper has another medical issue she outlined. My grandmother had one at 29 (after 3 kids) to prevent ovarian cancer…they used to perform them a lot in the 1950s or so.

We have been asking these questions for 30 years and the religious idiots don’t care that they are illogical. They simply do not care and the questions are useless.

They offer to tie your tubes when you are in labor delivering a child, weirdly enough, so it’s not viewed as a totally radical procedure. They’re just more skittish about performing it for women with no kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/22 03:40 AM

Yeah, I’m pretty angry too. Pregnancy was my biggest fear when in my 20s so this touched a nerve.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/22 03:24 AM

Just get your tubes tied…way less invasive I think. It’s not something they love to do for women without children but some docs do it I heard. Edit: nvm

Mostly for women who’ve had kids. I only had one and they were happy to give me one if I had wanted it. They’re afraid of getting sued by women who change their minds (why a woman with one kid wouldn’t change her mind too is anyone’s guess, but I dunno).
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 04:32 PM

Contraceptives. Even Kavanaugh can’t tell the difference between contraception and abortion and he’s one of the people deciding the whole thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 04:25 PM

No, I was an idealist who wanted more. But my child was so difficult as a baby/toddler that I quickly decided against that. I went back to birth control pills after breastfeeding was done.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 04:21 PM

They don’t love giving it to childfree people. However, when I was in labor with my first/only kid they asked if I wanted one while they were in there. What timing.

Their argument is not grounded in science, but they argue that the pills thin the lining of the uterus and thus it’s impossible to know if a fertilized egg is being kept from implanting via this mechanism. The hardliners are mental but they have a script and they will not deviate.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 03:51 PM
3

Or condoms.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 03:38 PM
2

Yeah I was terrified of pregnancy so I always used the pill (plus condoms before an STD test). Never had an issue. I find it weird men and women will fuck without any form of contraception. I’d be scared the whole time I’d get pregnant and it would be unenjoyable.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 03:37 PM
1

No, but if the argument is that life begins at fertilization, then anything that “kills” a fertilized embryo is murder. Preventing a fertilized embryo from implanting is abortion, then. While I haven’t seen anything about it now, I worked at a reproductive health journal for 2 years where I regularly talked to state and federal antiabortion legislators and this is a main belief in antiabortion communities. They were mad AF about Plan B (this was before it was available over the counter). It hing…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 03:34 PM
2

I actually did until STD tests for both parties and I only had sex in a relationship, but most people on this board don’t use them and report most of their friends don’t either. I was always too afraid of AIDS to go raw before an HIV test but most people here seem more nonchalant.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 03:28 PM
2

Hormonal BC has been on state legislatures’ hit lists for 20 years or more. If they can work it so abortion involves an implanted embryo, there is a wide range of contraceptives that could be banned, including IUDs, birth control pills, and obviously Plan B. All those methods can prevent implantation.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 03:26 PM

Hope you like condoms, boys. I predict a comeback.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 03:22 PM

Yeah, I did love my oral contraceptives. And I got pregnant the first month after I stopped, so it didn’t kill my fertility.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 03:18 PM

State legislatures have wanted to ban forms of contraception that prevent implantation of an embryo for a long time.

Started with Reagan, accelerated under later Clinton era and W Bush, and went full speed during Obama. Yeah, people act surprised like both a politicized court and abortion restrictions haven’t been happening gradually for 30-40 years. There was a brief lull after Casey v Planned Parenthood but not for long.

I can’t imagine what my 20s (and early 30s) would have been like without the pill. Thank god the country was sane back when I was at risk of pregnancy. I still use birth control for my periods now in my 40s. And not a Chad in sight.

It was! Ok it took 10 months. For 6 of those I was breastfeeding though and he had trouble with it so I was home a LOT trying to feed all the time and boost my supply through foods (oat cookies mostly). But after that I had a stomach issue that caused me to lose the weight because it hurt when I ate…which means I avoided eating. I got back to 120, so I did not get back down to 108 or whatever I was before, but 120 is recommended for my height so no big deal. I had gained 55 pounds. I guess I los…

Most childless women don’t want to be stepmothers. The idea they do is male fantasy that plays into the idea all women love kids and want to be moms/play mom. In reality most women would like a guy’s undivided attention and would prefer all his efforts go to raising her offspring, not someone else’s. I understand why single moms don’t appeal to childless men for the same reasons. This is why divorced parents usually date each other.

Age: we become invisible. That and pregnancy/childbirth/child raising. When push comes to shove (like COVID) women still usually leave their careers to care for children, and that makes them financially vulnerable. Having kids is more disruptive to a woman’s life in general.

I mean, compared to being a woman in a war-torn country getting raped by soldiers or working in a sweatshop in China...yeah. But then again, men in the first world who aren't living with the chance of being conscripted into some warlord's army or living with the ever-present threat of death in North Korea (or working in a sweatshop in China) are also living on easy mode. There is always someone worse off in the world.

Haven't you seen the many, many posts from guys on here saying rape/sexual assault is overblown and "a meme" at this point? Paternity fraud happens even less than that. And I was noting what Aquachip was, that guys can cheat and father kids with other women too, which financially affects a couple. Also, demanding a paternity test when there's no reason to suspect cheating is akin to me accusing a guy of cheating with no evidence and demanding his phone to prove he's not. Most guys wouldn't like …

It's nice that this sub's downplaying/making fun of women's concerns about rape recently ("so overblown" and exaggerated) has ushered in male hysteria about something that happens even more rarely. I imagine I'd react to a guy demanding a paternity test about the way a man would react to me demanding at random, unprovoked, to search his phone to see if he has a girlfriend (even better, one who had his kid and is now draining our joint finances) on the side.

/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/22 02:38 AM

I doubt it would make a difference. I think there are very few 25-year-olds (or 35-year-olds) interested in sex with a woman over 40, even if she makes herself very available.

Who whoa. 43 here. Gen X ended in 1980
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 10:40 PM
2

We aren’t disagreeing. It’s kind of contradicting yourself in the OP to say women over 45 are affecting anything at all. Nobody wants women over 45 so whether they drop out or not, it’s irrelevant. They are not skewing dating numbers. I only take issue with the idea men in their 60s-70s are really “competing” with younger guys for women in their 20s. The number of old dudes who have enough money to make a very young woman have sex with them is pretty small.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 10:25 PM
7

No they did try. They wanted sex and companionship. But there were few men who wanted it back from them.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 10:15 PM
2

They’re definitely playing with fire. Single young subordinate employees with nothing to lose can deliver divorce papers and a pink slip at once, pretty much guaranteeing no women of any age for the guy in question for quite some time.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 07:47 PM
8

I think with workplace affairs there’s a power dynamic that can be attractive to some women. “Hey, new young female employee, let me show you the ropes and make my title/seniority sound a bit more important and give you a sympathetic ear.” I don’t think it necessarily works that way for senior female employees and young male colleagues. This is nothing new. I had older male colleagues do this back in the early 2000s. Many women experienced it. What I mean is men my age now do it themselves. Now,…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 06:47 PM
23

I’m Gen X and I think in my group it’s still very much men who cheat more, probably because we (women) mostly didn’t do online dating in our youth and aren’t comfortable with soliciting sex from it as much as younger people. Guys my age still seem to do the workplace affair thing.

The 45+ guys don’t date down because they have to. They date down because they want to. Oh I still have a sex drive, trust me. And if guys over 40 en masse wanted to start desiring and dating women over 40 I’d be thrilled. But that’s not how it goes for the most part. I think rather than try to sift through the very shallow pool of available 40+ guys looking for a relationship (non-hookup) with a woman their age, women would rather be alone and occasionally bang someone off OLD when they wanted …
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 05:36 PM
19

I don’t know what 45+ women giving up on dating has to do with young (18-30) men not getting laid though. It’s not like those two groups traditionally dated each other. Only rarely do they fuck each other. I can only speak as a soon-to-be old woman, but I am not sure how much of a priority dating would be if I were divorced. Most women over 45 have a kid or kids. Raising kids alone or mostly alone is hard and time-consuming. Men in their 40s and early 50s want to date younger. Maybe she doesn’t …

I get them rather often but when I post about oral sex it’s like instantaneous and has been for a while.

I dunno. Someone sends me a redditcares msg every time I say I like getting oral sex. So not everyone likes pussy-eating week.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 04:41 PM

Men here drastically overstate the amount of unsolicited attention the average woman gets on social media. They’re focusing on (a) really hot women who post anything, and (b) average/above-average women who post thirst traps. I think you are partly talking about two different groups, in that there is a large segment of women who are average and not sexual on TikTok/IG who feel bad because they see both photoshopped images of hot girls AND the reaction this provokes in men, who go for the hot gir…

I think guys who’d randomly eat women out get off on giving it. But doesn’t matter; I’m an only child and we are selfish by nature…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 04:14 PM

Yes and no. Yes in that I could probably get off from a wide range of guys, looks wise, doing it. But we’d need a filter maybe for technique because some guys kind of go too hard and it can hurt.

If faced with a scenario of a potential romantic partner finding out I (a) watch porn several times a day or (b) post here several times a day I would take my chances with the porn discovery.

You are assuming men have the patience and willingness to teach women what they like. Many do not. IME men don’t think it’s cute or endearing when a woman doesn’t know what she’s doing. They get frustrated and annoyed. Also, there is still a remnant of a virgin-whore dichotomy where many men don’t want to dirty their girlfriend with the acts they happily perform with their fuckbuddy/ONS. I’m formerly the low n girlfriend and this was my experience.

I can't figure out the end date for Gen X. I think it's 1981 but am unsure.

To propose a sequel to a previous question: where is Gen X here these days? Although as far as I recall it was only ever purplish possum, orange paisley, me, and that swinger guy, who seems to have left. Edit: forgot poppy and angels-fan, both also semi-AWOL.

If all you want is to get laid and you can't stand a woman's company beyond that, I would HIGHLY rethink the life path of having children. Because you will spend a lot of time together and, depending on the temperament/needs of your kids, your energy, and your life circumstances, you might spend a lot less time having sex, maybe for a short while, maybe for years. If you don't enjoy being around a woman outside of sex, just use prostitutes or, if you want more cuddling/affection, albeit still fe…

Yeah men don’t know. But also I think men don’t realize they can get shared custody if they meet requirements. Shared custody = lower child support bill (if you can provide the care).
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 02:53 AM

Isn’t this just from living in a no-fault state? No-fault wouldn’t penalize a cheating husband either.

I’d tell men and women to do it. Women too should know what child support means, how custody is determined etc. Also different avenues like mediation vs. court trial. It’s very valuable info.

Obesity is heavily correlated with economic class. The vast majority of poor people are overweight/obese, and even if they aren't, it takes a lot of money to have good hair, skin, teeth, nails, etc. Therefore, "the (legal adult) hot chick working at McDonald's" is so statistically unlikely as to be not useful other than a revenge fantasy projection from the "we don't care about your career" crowd. You're right the rich guy probably won't marry the Walmart cashier. At least part is fueled by fear…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 12:05 AM

Yeah, I agree. It makes you feel better but it also makes you realize what you don’t have and how much less satisfying it is going it alone.

I like how ordinary weight women are a 4. Then guys in one thread say they won’t approach unless she’s a 7 or higher. But also “Men have to take whatever they can get because women are so picky.”

Male ppd privilege. I think I made the mistake of describing myself as average once or twice and had guys jumping over each other to tell me I was ugly. You get used to it.

Some people think trauma can imprint on genes. For example, they found the stress response in the descendants of Holocaust survivors is slightly different. Sons of POWs (born after imprisonment) are more likely to die younger. But it's not really a fully researched area. There have only been small studies.

Yeah but tall guys don’t physically hurt you during sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/22 12:36 AM

I mean, I read this sentence as an absolute statement: "If your girl has had sex with someone thats more well endowed than you before your relationship you will never fully satisfy her." As in, no matter what, you can't be better than the larger guy. I don't think that's true. A big guy who thinks he can jackhammer and that's it isn't going to be remembered fondly. Yeah, if you get down to 2 inches that will be tough no matter how small the woman, but smaller women do best with average dicks.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/22 12:32 AM

That is different from “the biggest dick is always the one that is most pleasing, the end.”
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/22 12:01 AM
2

What, in the name of fuck, is this? Women have different vaginal sizes too and bigger isn’t always better for some. Even if we are accepting the premise that a huge dick is automatically an orgasm-producer, which it is not.

I had a married coworker way back when flirt heavily with me and then ask me if I wanted to start seeing him. His wife had just had a baby like 3 months prior and “was never in the mood anymore.” Luckily when I said no he was angry and never spoke to me again. I’m average btw. Not “that girl” by any stretch.

him being an old senior citizen while she is still young and middle-aged Winner winner chicken dinner. This is why divorce rates are so high for large age gap marriages. Men who are “distinguished” at 40 are simply old at 55-60, at least to a woman of 40.
