I can't imagine it being that different in the US / other countries. I'm not going to comment on whether you're arguing in good faith.

I guess "accuser" would be a better term. The percentage of accusers who lie isn't different to other crimes.

I feel like, it isn't gendered, but I am more willing to believe the victim(s) than the perpetrator(s) - I am a victim myself.
