Kyle is a 2A leader, Chad's ex-wife is a Texas Judge, they hid Chads son during Chads scheduled visitation pickup time, trying to anger the Father, then kill him. It was premeditated murder.I think recent events have really highlighted that gun laws are not written to keep people safe or protect law abiding citizens (including those just wanting to see their son), they are written to protect gun owners.
