I’m in a similar situation, at the tail end of the process. The divorce and move obliterated my savings. 2	Lease vs Finance car while divorcing Depends on the state, maybe. In my state child support is formulaic based on gross income but the standard of alimony begins with showing that one spouse needs it and the other spouse can afford it. 1	Another thing I won’t miss from the ex…. Man, every one around town knows my house because of the two giant skeletons in our front yard.
