Making friends as an adult is really, really tough. It seems like you get activity partners more than friends. You've got to pick up some hobbies if you don't want to go to the bar.

You should really look into index funds. They guarantee dividends. For example, ETFs like VTI.

Shooting is a great hobby of mine and I concealed carry every day. Depending on the situation and due to legal reasons, I'd probably run first unless people I care about were in immediate danger. I'm no hero and don't owe a stranger anything. If I have to draw, then I'm shooting until the threat is dead. I don't plan on having to go to civil court because someone thought I shot to maim.

Christina Hoff Summers is pro men's rights. This is still my favorite quote from her. “Young men are not going to whine about their predicament. They are not going to organize workshops or support groups (thank goodness). Teenage boys are the one group of Americans who do not like to gather in circles and talk about grievances and misgivings. So what will they do? My guess is that vast numbers will just stop trying and withdraw. It would not be an organized strike - it would just happen. It is h…

It's possible. In Shanghai, they speak primarily Cantonese whereas the national language is still Mandarin. If they moved there from Hong Kong, they could technically be able to speak Cantonese, Mandarin and English well. Depending on family income, studying abroad is preferable. Getting into college is fiercely competitive over there. It's not just about money but you legitimately have to have good grades., whether you cheated or not. Taiwanese and Koreans go to China to study, but not the othe…

There was an article similar to this one about an American woman in Japan who left within a year because she felt like she was invisible to everyone. Just the way it is.

Being in the home development industry, I recommend everyone avoid building their homes on clay. Foundation issues will always be a problem due to settlement or expansion depending on the cohesiveness of the clay.

Motivation is an external source. It's great if it's there but you don't require it. It's discipline that you want. Discipline is self-driven. It's part of the grind that we as men face daily. You can’t cheat the grind. It knows everything you’ve invested. It won’t give you anything you haven’t worked for. Shame yourself if that works. You're the only person living 100% of your life.

A young man contemplating marriage sought advice from Diogenes: "Should I marry?" "Marriage is too soon for a young man" "Would you have me wait then until I am old." "Oh no, Marriage is far too late for an old man." "What am I to do then? I love the girl." "Love is a luxury no one can afford. It is for those who have nothing better to do." "What should we be doing then?" "To seek freedom. But it is not possible to be free if you have a wife and children." "But having a wife and family is so agr…

The Ninja 500 was my first bike. After that I got a Gixxer 600 and crashed it going about 40. Came out with two scars on my knee. Two months later I bought a Honda CBR600rr and have been on it since. The in retrospect, the aggressive lean angle on the GSXR played a part on my downfall, and rider stupidity. I'll probably never upgrade to a liter bike though.

As an Asian guy, I find that the majority of Asian women in dating sites are looking for white guys. Do you see this in your area?
/r/TheRedPill19/12/14 10:31 PM
1

Depends on where it's coming from. My parents don't care who I date. Most of the girls have been white. I've never dated an Asian girl in the long term, they just aren't interested. Just adapting to the environment. Don't play into their game, focus on yours.

There is just some stigma you've got to brush off. I'm Chinese and I took this white girl to a bubble tea place. There was a table with 3 generations of Asian women giving me the death stare. The thing is, most Asian women in my town are looking for white guys anyways. Think about that the next time you feel like people are giving you shit.

I'm not sure. It seems like a lot more people are finishing the qualifying course. Not sure if that is due to the increasing popularity or decreasing difficulty.

There were 3 total who made it passed the qualifiers. All 3 trained their asses off and it showed. Now if they change the course to accommodate more women, that's when I'll stop watching.

I was cheering for her. She failed at the jumping spider because she was too short. Her technique was on but the wingspan of her legs just barely enough. I hope she gets there again next year. But if they change the course to people of her height, I'll lose respect for the show.

It's not that far fetched. $650 for a new Bushmaster or S&W M&P Sport. $350 for the 1000 rounds. You have yourself a new hobby for just around $1k. Or if you're going out in a blaze of glory you buy about 6 magazines, thats 180 rounds (9 boxes) at about $0.35 a round. Plus gas to drive across the country and you've got yourself a shooting spree of love.

/r/TheRedPill21/08/14 08:58 PM

Part of it could be just trying to be safe. When you know a girl is sleeping with other guys, you want to make sure she's using protection. Just screening for STDs and all that.

Those countries have been littered with easy access porn as well. The falling birthrate in Japan has a lot to do with it. Guys would rather masturbate to a screen than meet up with women.

It's difficult to just stop watching if you've been at it for a long time. What's helped me was gradually coming down from it. For one thing, quit watching porn. On the masturbation issue, try to set a schedule, like once or twice a week until you can maybe go once a month or something. When masturbating, think about women you know in real life, not the fake ones from porn. It's impossible to rewire your brain quickly from the years of dopamine hits it's been getting through porn. It's going to …

Yes, their expectations are that they want a grandchild. Those Asian dad memes are real in a subtle way. Your environment could have been better and you're a product of it. Sounds like you need to get out there. Respect women, they have their own game. Work on yours.

Not the ones I've talked to. You'd have to admit that there are more white guys around where I'm at. Primarily I've seen them attracted to guys that are confident and don't put them on a pedestal. A lot of Asian guys do not have these qualities though.

I'm Chinese and 32. I've dated an Indian, a Hispanic, and a handful of white girls. I've never dated an Asian girl. They are more into white guys. I'm talking to two Asian girls, both in their mid 20s, wondering why I'm even interested. I won't tell them it's because of the typical TRP reasons; they aren't slutty and probably have a low count. They're Asian and that appeals to me. I think they are only interested because I got broad shoulders, looked jacked, and have passed shit tests. I saw thi…

Confidence isn't a switch you can flip on and off. Keep doing the hard work and you'll get better. Confidence is something other people may see in you before you even see it in yourself. You should be slightly nervous with talking to new girls, those are the good tingles. You're still young and your current path will only pay more dividends as you get older. Keep it up.
