The title begins with “THIS” in all capital letters and ends with “absolute truth.” Thus: The author/narrator of the text should be considered unreliable and the content should be considered at best immaterial and irrelevant to the reader’s interest. However, it should nonetheless be skimmed over for any notable jargon, proper nouns, or turns of phrase used repeatedly or with emphasis, to be filed in the “probably bullshit” drawer. In re: the invitation to “discuss below”: I honestly don’t know …

For some reason, I feel like we should acknowledge that if bad girls are, in fact, compulsively seeking bad boys like moths drawn to a flame, then it is extremely likely that crazy girls would be even more compulsively drawn to crazy guys. This can be interpreted in a few different ways. Also, this is probably a good opportunity for some “like father, like son” advice about sourcing reliable information: There are two places in this world where you can safely assume that any exciting freely-shar…

It’s about breaking up the repetitive pattern of crappy habits, and introducing a good variety of better habits in their place. There’s no one right way to do this, and it takes a lot of self-discipline and mindfulness to do alone - definitely best if you have a buddy to help!

This will not undo any of the psychological conditioning aspects of your predicament. Nor will it change any of the factors that lead someone to adopt painfully suboptimal masturbatory methods in the first place. Nor will it change the fact that you’re way more likely to do this to yourself with a strong vibrator or shower head than with your hands, even if you have some pretty serious golf calluses.

So, uh, desensitization (also sometimes called “death grip” or “Hitachi” syndrome) is a real thing for both men and women, but it is not exactly something that just happens all of a sudden and then comes and goes with a simple behavioral change. Usually there’s a pretty hefty amount of situational-emotional conditioning, along with relationship dynamics, that are to blame at least as physiology.

Women can, with a little savvy, throw themselves pretty much indiscriminately at guys and never come across as, or be labeled as, “low value.” The labeling mostly happens from how you dress/groom/talk (don’t fret, there are more right ways than wrong ways despite how it may seem), and how you come across depends mostly on being honest, open, and consistent. (This applies to men too: If you can never get your stories straight, your appearance doesn’t matter, you always just look like you need mon…

This is at least partly true. I am equally comfortable approaching and being approached by women in the right contexts, most of them were “high value” human beings. That said, because it’s only “most,” some things will get my guard up, not because they’re inherently “low value” behavior, but just because of a coincidence in past experience.

As far as the interactions between you and any specific guy are concerned, it’s a personality thing as much as a gender-role thing. The big gender-role difference to bear in mind is that most men, even relatively attractive and sociable ones, get extremely little positive unsolicited attention from women (except maybe mom and grandma), and may not be sure how to respond. Also, if they have more experience with being propositioned, it’s likely that a non-trivial fraction of the propositioning was…

This. This. A thousand times, this. Some dudes who wanna fuck also care a little bit...like, this guy obviously cares at least enough to opportunistically let you know you’re being strung along, instead of waiting until you’re heartbroken and opportunistically swooping in to comfort you.

Didn't a bunch of places add a foot/leg on the seat rule after "manspreading" swept through the media a while back? In any case, cop was being kind of a dick, but there's still the question of what preceded a recording that starts with everyone already staring and the cop already flustered.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
