Wife angry about equitable financial splittingDon’t make concessions. Get everything you deserve. My ex made way more money than me, I made concessions because I wanted the kids to be able to stay in the house we bought. She got basically everything and still screwed me on the stuff I was supposed to get. Get everything you are supposed to get and cut ties as quick as you can. Changed tires to ties | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/07/26 11:39 PM
Need advice _ I feel teenage kids are detaching from me fast.Going through something similar but I’m about 3 years down the road. They detach fast and it’s for their emotional benefit. Just try to be there for them. Keep showing up. Mine come to me when they need me and, for me, that’s more important. Don’t give up it’s new territory and you and your kids are working it out a day at a time You got this | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/07/26 04:58 AM
Been hanging out with my ex wife even though I know she doesn't want me. Need advice! It’s a game if you are going to play it do not…. DO NOT involve your feelings. | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/07/26 12:52 AM
My [40m] 5 year marriage to my wife [40F] just blew up and my wife ended up in jail and I don't know what to do.Leave the charges Do not leave the house If she's violent towards you for no reason that can be turned towards the children. Her family seems violent as well. In their eyes you are and will always be the bad guy Start cutting heart strings- This is all business from here on out If the house is hers get your named removed from EVERYTHING Sorry for your loss. We believe in you-Fight! | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/06/26 03:43 PM

Would you ever reconcile with your STBXW just out of obligation to your family/ kids?I have 4 young children, when we started breaking up a couple years ago, my youngest ones (twins) were 6 and I was completely on the "we have to work this out what about the kids". Strictly because of their age, for them to be grown- I can't imagine that!! If he cares that much about them, then what are they going to say about knowing you're with him on the side... This wife is going to be okay with it? Are you okay with being in a relationship that way? | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/07/24 05:58 AM
Narcissism seems to be the new buzzword today. Did or are you dealing with that in your present or past divorce? What I love is she's not stone-walling, she's protecting her peace. She said what she said and there's no reason to ever repeat it or talk about it!-???? really? What really hit home with my ex was when the kids (8-12) started calling her out on the same things I was saying to her behind closed doors- Wild | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/07/24 08:10 PM
Who initiated the separation/divorce? You or the wife? She was the one lying stealing and cheating, but I was the one who said the word "divorce" first. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/07/24 12:31 AM
Thoughts on being divorced at 25 without kids?Work on yourself. Everything you need us inside of you You have plenty of time to rebuild. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/07/24 05:32 AM
Spent $40K on defending in mediation back and forth. Finally went to court and her motion was dismissed in less than 1 hour.I'm so glad I was able to talk my ex into getting divorced on our own without lawyers. I had been unemployed for a long time due to family care situations and a couple of layoffs, COVID included. I mean- I'm having to start over without a whole bunch but at least I didn't have to go in the hole just to start over. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/06/24 12:23 PM
'We need to decide if we're going to work on things...'You can't make her happy but you can definitely do that for your children. That says a lot of they are asking for that. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/02/24 04:25 PM
Wife tells me she wants to stay together before our divorce gets finalized.Run. Off she did it once she'll do it again. She's not happy about something and she needs someone to blame it on. You're that person. The more you start to pull away the more she starts to question her decision. A woman can always find someone to lay with her but not to be with her. She started this, her family and friends probably cosigned it. Your relationship will never be the same. Sorry brother, keep walking. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/02/24 03:41 PM
