You need to talk to him and set some boundaries. Tell him you feel uncomfortable with the way he and his friend act. If he accepts it and is willing to compromise, then good on him. If he isn’t, then you should drop him. It’s not good to stay in a relationship with a man who is doing things that make you uncomfortable.

He’s treating you as an object, as a slave. That’s never good in ANY relationship, conservative or liberal. Fortunately you’re not married or anything so get out while you still can. You need to focus on yourself too. You seem to have some issues that need sorting. Maybe try seeing a counsellor?

I’d love to see this! Do post a link when you’re up and running 😊

This sounds cool! I’ll pass it onto my parents, they’re always looking for ways to reduce waste.

He sounds immature and I wouldn’t waste more time worrying about him. Tell him you’re not interested, if he persists then block him, and move on.

You are definitely pushing too hard. You haven’t been with your boyfriend for very long, so I’m not surprised that they treat you differently. Getting married probably won’t help that either, nor would it make sense to marry a man you jus met. Take it slow. Get married when you and your man feel the time is right, not because you think it’ll gain his parents respect.

Makeup and beards aren’t comparable. Men don’t take off their beards at night or only wear it when they are going out.

Thats how I met my partner. I wasn’t looking and he had jus given up on looking, then suddenly we met.

Let it go. There’s no point in wasting time dating a man who you don’t like. If you don’t like him now, there’s a very low chance you’ll like him later on.

If you’re happy with it theres nothing wrong with it, however I would encourage you to get to know him more while you’re engaged. Ideally you should meet him in person before marriage but I see this is not an option due to covid. Also; do you know his family? His friends? The type of people he surrounds himself with may indicate what type of person he really is. Either way good luck and I wish you the best.

The easy path is not always the right path. Don’t give up your morals or beliefs about what is right for you in exchange for money. So many people do that and as a result live an unfulfilled life.

Why is she hugging someone when she’s afraid he’d kill her? What kinda logic is that?

It’s very disrespectful. If you can’t handle being committed, then don’t get in a relationship, or work on self control before you do.

FDS: empowering women through shaming women. I’m actually glad they are still around so I can have someone to laugh at. That sub is a goldmine of crap.

I’m not sure about the future, but for now I’d suggest you start saving money for when you have kids. It might not be much, but it’ll help you get started, and you might be able to partly rely on that while you’re raising your kid.

“If you like women shaved you are a pedo” Reminds me of the people saying anyone who dates a short girl is a pedo, lmao

Reverse the genders and this would be a sexist post made by men who are trying to throw shade on women being abused.

It’s not selfish to not want to, everyone has their limits. If you feel uncomfortable with it then tell him straight up. I’m sure he would’ve been aware that some women wouldn’t like that factor of him when he went into the dating field.

The image she described sounds like boomer humour to me, which to be fair is sometimes cringey. However a large portion of boomer humour is based around mocking the younger generation, regardless of gender, so I doubt it was motivated by sexism, making this argument plain stupid.

Some things my boyfriend and I, who plan on marrying when we can, have discussed so far; Religious views; do you share the same views? if not, is one of you willing to change? (This is very important to alot of people so definitely something that should be brought up). Housing; where do you plan on living? small or big house, rural or urban? do you want to move countries? (This was a big thing from us because we are Long Distance, we agreed to move to my country because he doesn’t like his count…

I’ve got the same plan as yours! I originally wanted 3-4 but the man I am currently planning on marrying wants 1, so we compromised and said 2, possibly 3. We’re lucky that he’s a few years older than me bc he said he wanted to wait till his late 20’s/early 30’s to have children haha.

Question: how are you two when it comes to privacy? You mentioned he changed his passwords and then shamed you for asking. Has he done this before, or do you two generally share everything?

If he is earning good and has a stable job I don’t see it as a big problem. My father left school at 17 and ended up owning his own business for several years (not right after he left though) and he made enough money to support us. Same with my brother in law, he doesn’t make heaps of money but he makes enough to support my sister and their kids, he never studied past highschool.

I wouldn’t worry about that. Some people like to keep their love life seperate from the public, which is okay. My boyfriend and I have been together for over a year and he never posted me, partly bc his family is pretty nosey and would never stop asking if he posted me lol. If you’re really worried then talk to him about it, but I don’t see it as a big issue. It’s jus preference.

I think the reference is to the Female Dating Strategy subreddit. Basically they (the girls in that subreddit) are kinda extreme feminists (much like your friend i’m guessing) and call anyone who doesn’t agree with them a “pickmeisha”, meaning they think the person has such views in order to get male attention. If your friend had posted about you two there, the women there would of called her a “queen” and dragged your name in the mud.

He might be uninterested in sex, or he could be shy. I’m personally quite shy by nature when it comes to intimacy, he might be the same. I don’t think its a big problem but you should talk to him about it if you’re worried. Sexual compatibility is something you need to talk about at some point anyways, if you plan on being long term dating.

I have a male friend who is also friends with my BF. they have known each other for a few years and I was introduced to him a few months after my BF and I got together. He’s really nice and we talk on and off, he calls me sister-in-law (my BF is from South Asia, its common to refer to close friends as brother/sister) and treats me good. The best part is I know he won’t try and get with me bc he’s respectful and never did the same thing with any of his other male friends GFs. Overall I think our …

fetish for smoking? now thats new. it sounds like he’s hinting at him wanting you to start smoking. if you don’t want to then you don’t have to. if it bothers you, you should have a serious conversation with him about it. tell him you feel pressured and ask him to stop. he might not know he’s making you insecure. if he continues though then it shows he has no respect for your feelings, which isn’t good.

I see this waaay too often on social media like Facebook and Instagram. I remember there was a facebook group, “I miss the time when men went off to war and never came back” like what the heck?!? Then there’s men who are creating groups to counter that, its turned into a battle of the sexes. It’s so sad to see and everytime I see a woman comment “men ain’t sh*t” it makes me wonder what the world has come to where this is considered humour 😔

He may be busy, but from my point of view it seems like he is just not interested, either that or he found someone else. Although I’m not a dating expert (I’ve only had one boyfriend who I’m currently with, prior to that I’ve had no experience) so I’d listen to what some other ladies have to say. If he isn’t interested I’m sorry for you, I hope you find someone who is ☺️

I think getting involved with someone who does such stuff is a bad idea personally. Like stated above, he could get in legal trouble which would be a bad thing and certainly heartbreaking. However personally if he was willing to drop it for me, I might consider him. It also depends on how he makes money. Does he have a good job, one that is legal? Is the selling mushrooms a side job or his only job? If it was a side job and he promised to drop it soon I think it would be okay to further your rel…

I had a experience like this! When I was a young girl my favourite colour was blue and I was into trains (things that boys are usually into), however I was also interested in dolls and barbies and girly stuff. I had a friend who was a tomboy, she used to mock girls who were girly and make fun of them. Because of this I suppressed my urge to be girly and always did boyish stuff. My friend had a sister who was girly and sometimes I hung with her, we played barbies together once and when my friend …
