How do you know that the doctor owns that practice and is not an employee? Do you hold this same standard for all businesses? Would you hold the owner of a McDonald's franchise accountable if an employee threw hot coffee on a customer's face? Or what if they, despite being adequately trained, did not correctly use proper food handling techniques and got someone sick?

Yeah, doctor here, unless he signed some release of information documents then I don't see how this wasn't a HIPAA violation. Even if someone were married for 50 years I couldn't give them their spouses' medical records without written consent. And his GF got them? Jacked.

Doctor here to defend the profession - where does it say in this post that he ever interacted with his physician? How would his doctor know that his front desk staff were incompetent in this matter unless someone let him know? I'd hate it if my patient's parent had this happened to them. I'd use ¢, not $$$. Circumcisions are not known for their incredible reimbursement rate. And I know we use hostile language like "genital mutilation" here, but in a culture where male circumcision is so commonplace you have to give some consideration to the atmosphere. They don't see it as mutilation, even if it is. It is more complex than "money for genital mutilation."

No one can force you to stay where you are being verbally abused, but you don't have the right to not have hurt feelings because of what anyone says. That's what freedom of speech is about in the first place - everyone has differences of opinion on what they feel is okay to say but this does not mean they have the right to stop someone else from speaking their mind.

It's a joke. If Men's Rights Advocacy turns into getting butthurt about every joke then we might as well join the militant feminists. In my opinion you should feel free to joke about slapping women or men or aliens as long as you aren't actually advocating it. We're starting to have some mirror images here of the "I'm hurt by most women on TV being housewives" or "You can't joke about that because I'm a woman and I'm sensitive to jokes about that" issues.
