Oh I am sure that is happening to some people as well, no doubt. Again, purely my rare in person observations when I have discussed the existence of such guys and some common techniques (especially things like negging), I have found these particular friends to be incredibly quick to proclaim themselves as experts on understanding all the ways a guy might be exemplifying pick up artist type behaviour, and then go on to describe something else entirely as an example of it. For want of a better way…

As a brief preface, I don’t utilise any of these labels (despite many things I think are accurate, they all have their elements of retardation among the broad ranks), if forced to pick the closest one for the sake of approximation, I’d say I have most overlap with mgtow. As for the actual response, I can easily see why you would say that and I’m sure at least sometimes you may catch some of it. However (and this is entirely anecdotal, so make of it what you will) the rare times I have discussed …

Based off the few responses of yours I have skimmed over, full credit to you for engaging in good faith. Not that you need to agree or be sympathetic to whatever guys say (you’re naturally not going to see eye to eye on some points), but based on what I’ve seen from you here, you have gone well and truly above the usual in terms of asking questions in good faith. Definitely earned some respect here.

Speaking for myself, no anger. I personally have no dog in the fight so to speak (no longer have any desire for a partner at all). I think it would be more accurate to say frustration at the fact that women by and large (not all obviously) show a disposition towards ignoring a plainly observable real world phenomenon. A phenomenon which is borne out via both supporting data as well as frequent and predictable real world observation. This only becomes more annoying when a disproportionate focus i…

Yeah, EXPLAINING why they are leaving. I would wager many are full of shit. Though online dating doesn’t have the social stink that it did at its early stages, many many people are way less than forthcoming about their usage of it. Especially women. Also, there is the added wrinkle of convenient definitions to consider here. Whilst some may not be using an explicit “dating app”, good luck finding many women who aren’t using something else which has the same practical functionality. How many wome…

Oh that guardian article was particularly humourous. Especially the part about men seeing women as disposable objects when you have so many options. That particular line was projection of the highest order. To say nothing of the rest of the article which rather predictably leans heavily on how women are victimised, and conspicuously zero mention of any reverse considerations.

“I just think that the decision to stay single rather than lowering your standards is a valid choice, and not just for women” As this statement specifically pertains to men? Oh one hundred percent. Just my personal take, but with the statistical and social/legal realities of pursuing relationships with women, I legitimately don’t understand why so many men are still engaged in it. A cynical take no doubt, but for the majority of guys I can’t help but think “what is it you think you are actually …

That last sentence was just…wow. I think you might have a slight misunderstanding of what many who use that term actually think.

Furthermore, if that actually were a net negative, then one would think that you could simply choose to stop advertising yourself and get rid of the profile. Though many are going to rush in and claim this is what they have done, I’m pre emptively calling bullshit. If you listen to what many people tell you, apparently very few people are using/have used dating apps. The numbers tell a different story. This eternal din of claims of victimhood for consequences of their own choices, when they have…

Point number 2 seems somewhat on the money to me. There seems to be many women who fancy themselves as sexual experts because they have had many partners. As though that is a difficult thing for a woman to do, if she chooses to. Similar to how women disproportionately rate themselves as more attractive than they actually are, or how many seem to think that they uniquely possess the “magic vagina” that is somehow any different from anybody else.

While I get the point you are trying to make here, I can’t deny it is one that I find frustrating when it invariably comes up. “Being tied down to an ugly/poor man” - in your hypothetical example here, who chose this? This is at the core of something that many men find incredibly annoying. Women having this tendency to act as though they have no agency over their own choices and decisions. But even in this hypothetical example, it is a choice they themselves made, and is an option that was open …

“Women have less control when stating a monogamous and serious relationship?” You must be joking, right? Let’s not confuse “the particular guy I want is proving to be difficult to lock down” with a higher degree of difficulty in accessing a romantic relationship in general. Women broadly speaking have a multitude of options at any given time that is utterly alien to the majority of men. I’m not saying women don’t have issues and considerations unique to them. But let’s not pretend that there is …
