you're really upset about clubs having ladies night and no cover for women? they're private establishments. they can do as they please. this is the same thing. she's taking advantage of men dumb enough to buy her a drink. I buy girls drinks sometimes if I'm enjoying they're company. hell I buy my best mates drinks as well. it's a nice thing that people do for eachother. now if she expects the drink that still doesn't make it a men's rights issue, it just makes her a bad person.

I like how they call it "bizzare sex education" rather than what it really is, rape and child pornography. Which if it were tried as that then she would get a hell of a lot more than four years, or one would hope anyways.

I go here and I am so unbelievably careful about this. As soon as I stumbled upon MensRights I looked up my policy. It's worrying.

Allow me to clarify myself this time. When I said maternity leave I was thinking more along the lines of I'm so pregnant I can't get out of bed/I just spewed out a 9 lb being from my vagina so give me a sec. But yes in that sense (the true sense) I think that is great. In this age when there are so many stay at home fathers it is only right.

I completely agreed with you, and I understood where you were coming from. I was just adding my two cents/playing devil's advocate. I'm all for equality in the work place, but I was just trying to add another dimension to the argument.

You left out a big one, maternity leave. Women get pregnant they have to take maternity leave and it costs businesses. And since you can't very well have a woman sign a contract that forbids her from getting pregnant (or maybe you can) then it would kind of make since for them to make marginally less. Just saying.

A lot of the money is in skilled labor now anyways. Here's a Mike Row video that was posted on reddit not long ago. It was very interesting.

Not all jokes have punchlines. Some are just observational humor or in this case just stereotyping. Plus we as a society kind of perpetuated this one with the whole women belong in the home and men in the workforce stereotype. A lot of advertising during the 50's and 60's played to this. So just let it ride.

I'm not denying the double standards in society or any of those related issues, but it's a joke. A lot of jokes tend to be offensive or at least take a dig at some stereotype in our society. It's just the nature of the joke. This joke is very old. If you flipped the genders and feminists were getting upset about it, then I would say they are overreacting too. Everyone needs to develop thicker skin.

I'm really not upset by this. I am right there with everyone on all the issues, but you have to be able to laugh. Although I think the joke isn't all that funny and doesn't belong on a church marques, you can't get all worked up about this stuff.

It is not the role of the courts to scrutinize the content of an organization's chosen expression. Anyone up for creating a white, male, heterosexual only softball league?

here's dave chappelle joking about male rape, but he does make some good points. especially the part where he says "society does not give a shit about male rape".

you shouldn't have to clarify what you pointed your finger at. i believe there is an old saying, "boys will be boys."

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
