She is already getting your attention, regardless of whether you're acting indifferent or not. As soon as you play into that game, you lose no matter what. How are you acting indifferent when it seems like you're playing into everything she wants you to do? As soon as you lay down the expectation you want more, she's gonna put up that wall because she's already getting everything she needs. I like this, it gives more depth to the conversation. You could even playfully go with "What's the second best ... because we all know (this) is the best one!" and flow from there whether she disagrees or not.
