Thank you so much for your input. I’m going to listen to my gut

I want to let you know that your responses really mean a lot. I do know that this marriage is not what I want AT ALL. I’m trying to analyze if this is a form of self-sabotage where I think I deserve the little I get from him because of my flaws and mistakes. I’m already slowly grieving because I know this is it

My gut is telling me that it’s not right. I’m in so deep though and I’m confused how he seems perfect and great sometimes but other times I’m having to decipher if I’m being manipulated. Are there any other little things I can watch out for to verify for sure if he’s manipulating me. Is excessive crying a manipulation tactic?

I was 23 when I met him. The family thing is causing a lot of issues. His dad has come around but his mom he’s trying to convince. He’s trying to say that I’m marrying him and not his family—as a way to I feel like keep me on board. His family has been a big issue throughout the relationship and yea I’m thinking long term what it would mean to marry him and have a family who doesn’t like me. Angst and doubt is so correct. There are many aspects of the relationship where i feel like im compromisi…

Do you mind expanding on this some more? I’m 25 and my ex was 38 and I’m still trying to get out of my pick me tendencies and understand the error of my ways.

My ex is Indian and I still wonder if he was racist. He would act like he had my best interest in mind but it seemed like he liked knowing he was doing better than someone else

Yes I've actually noticed little things about his attitude that turns me off. He would tell me TMI about other girls, like how girls hed talk to from tinder would ghost him and he wouldn't know why... and ill be just sitting in silence awkwardly. He also talks alot and is pretty boring I find. I paid him back and am dropping him

Im in Toronto where restaurants are closed still. Plus whenever we talk about eventually going out he calls it hanging out instead of a date which also irks me. I know deep down he's just not right for me

I already paid him back. I don't want bad karma. Blocking him

Thank you so much for your feedback, I will make sure in the future to follow your advice of not laying my expectations out like that. I will be dropping him

I heard that guys fall for girls who they spend money on, I was trying out some advice from sheraseven from youtube. I know now it was a silly idea. Its only $160 I can pay him back easily and just ghost him from there.

Thanks so much. Im going to drop him. Can I ask what you mean by number 3 though?

Yea when I found out he was talking to other girls my first thought was that he's definitely talking to them when not talking to me
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/05/21 05:51 PM

I don't think he's only talking to me to get the money back. Im thinking of just ghosting him lol. It was $160, won't break the bank

You describe my situation. He's like my bestfriend and everything. I am definitely codependent and am struggling to make new girl friends and reconnect with my family more. Also it helps that he obviously makes more money than me as im a full time university student/part time worker, and helps me out from time to time. I know I only keep him around because he helps me out financially. Im aiming by the end of this week to cut him out.

Im really trying to stop communicating with my abusive ex NVM, but the pull is so strong. Im going to try blocking him for good. Any ladies have advice or just warm wishes for me?

I'm a black woman who grew up in Canada. During my school years I grew up with mainly white or friends of other cultures so I learned (from my white friends) how to be more vulnerable and basically stay in my feminine. At the same time I saw my mom have to be the strong black woman and raise a family of 3 while my dad was his LVM self. At one point my mom was going to school, working, and taking care of the house, it was insane! I dont envy her position and I've found that aligning myself with h…

I have bipolar disorder too and when I have disclosed it early on I find later in the relationship the guy would use it against me and gaslight me. I only had one ex, my ex-fiance, who to this day still takes care of me after seeing me at my worst during my episodes. My stance now is to wait untill the man is in love with me before disclosing my disorder. It's a highly personal thing.

As a fellow sufferer of bipolar disorder I have to raise your point as a good one. I've come to this thought process many times and I believe there are people walking around with undiagnosed mental illnesses or who can't afford the theraphy and medication that to others makes them look like wasted potential.

As a black woman, I can relate to when I had a white European bf and we both worked together at a resteraunt (he was a manager). when I brought up race issues that would come up at work he would ignore what I'd bring up; like it just didn't happen.
