because it puts them in a position of having to support unwanted children? Just because you're proposing a law that hurts the interests of men doesn't necessarily mean that you're hostile towards men. In this case anti-abortion laws are not discriminatory and not motivated by anti-male sentiment. Also, the political right seems pretty hostile to gay men I think that's becoming less and less true, but regardless, homophobia is not misandry.

Boy if you think that the First Amendment means that people can do anything they want in the name of religion, then I have a bridge to sell you. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Employment_Division_v._Smith Like you would have to be an idiot to not realize how stupid that is. By that logic someone could claim to follow the Aztec faith and demand to be allowed to kill born humans.

Half of marriages end in divorce and your partner might die before you, or they might be the one needing your care. Relying on marriage in of itself to be cared for in old age is stupid.

Being forced to give birth is a punishment. It is embarrassing and painful while also leaving permanent scars on your body. Just because it negatively affects you doesn't make it a punishment. Child support negatively affects men. Depends on the physical traits of the baby as to weather they are adopted or not Unless they're severely disabled they will definitely get adopted. also babies shouldn’t be seen as a commodity to be sold for profit I think most adoption agencies are non-profit. My point was that he was describing homophobia, not misandry. You don’t think there are any attacks on male hetero sexuality from the left? If you're specifically attacking male heterosexuals that's misandrist. I guess it would be like if someone was okay with lesbians but hated gay men(more or less the traditional attitude in the west). That would be misandrist. You agree with their descriptions of college campuses or high level corporate offices? What does this have to do with anything?

They're not fine They seem fine. Pregnancy is often one of the most dangerous medical situations a woman goes through. That's hardly an indictment of pregnancy, that says more about how safe and healthy developed countries are. There is never a risk-free pregnancy. Living carries risks. Shocker.

Can you not be misandrist against bisexual men? You can. But if someone is hostile towards you because you're bisexual, and not because you're a man, then that's not misandry.

The states that say they 'make exceptions for the health of the mother' do not. Which ones don't? Again, every single pregnancy is a risk to the mother's health and life There's some risk every time you ride in an automobile, what's your point? Living carries risks.

Putting the abortion argument aside, women are having care delayed for ectopic pregnancies. Every single state has exceptions for therapeutic abortions. I think it's ridiculous to suggest that these exceptions cannot work in principle because doctors will be too cautious and still refuse to perform medically necessary abortions. This is ridiculous, because virtually all states have or had gestational limits for elective abortions and prohibited it for at least part of pregnancy. When women neede…

Meanwhile, a woman is expected to devote her entire body to supporting a zygote that has very limited consciousness Yeah but it's not just any human zygote, it's her child. Unless she was raped, she is responsible for it's existence.

Women shouldn’t be forced to give birth as a form of punishment for having sex. No one said anything about punishment. Also most unwanted children aren’t adopted Virtually all unwanted babies are adopted. The demand far outstrips supply. The kids who are stuck in the foster care system are kids who entered it at an older age, and unfortunately no one wants to adopt older kids.

They are simply not allowing anything to use or have access to their body. And the argument would be that by virtue of it being your child, a human you are responsible for creating, you are responsible for providing ordinary care to it. That would include gestating it for the first 9 months of its life. So should married women stop having sex with their husbands to avoid getting pregnant? Use multiple forms of contraception and pregnancy will be incredibly unlikely. If by some miracle it fails, …

Should a woman be allowed to control what she does with her body Absolutely anything? Hell no. Women don't have the right to use her fist to punch my face. No one is forced to give up an organ to keep someone else alive so why is this any different Because unless she was raped, the mother is responsible for creating it and should therefore be responsible for ensuring that it's cared for. This is the rationale for laws against child neglect.

And how many hours do you believe child/cooking/home care takes? Not that many considering how much time kids spend at daycare school and the multitude of appliances widely used today. I am talking about biology, meaning if you were somehow not influenced by the many societal factors right now making people not want to have kids: financial reasons, social reasons, comfort, fears, medical issues etc. we instinctively have a subconscious desire to procreate A subconscious desire to have sex, not procreate per se.

Daily there are comments all over this place about how its such a serious issue because the men will commit violence. I only see it occasionally. Still, we’ve been reproducing for hundreds of years. Humans have been reproducing because humans(especially men) have a sex drive and sexual intercourse results in offspring. Casual sexual relationships aren't necessarily transactional, men can enjoy the company of women they're sleeping with, even be friends with them. I think traits like kindness, generosity, and financial stability are all things that men look for when selecting women for more committed relationships. They have nothing to do with sex.

it’s a woman being led on while the man figures it out If you think "I don't know" or "I'm not sure" means "yes" then you're leading yourself on.

Just because that was the case for your husband doesn't mean it's the case for the rest of us.

Call someone sexy or hot or whatever, make it clear it’s a sexual attraction and nothing else - but when you go down the path of ‘your mine’, ‘your perfect’, ‘everything about you is beautiful’. Those sorts of phrases imply you want to do more then just fuck and ghost. That's fair.

Because it isn't sexist to murder your own gender? That's ridiculous, people can absolutely discriminate against their own sex. And killing members of the opposite sex isn't necessarily sexist either. A large femicide rate would imply a large portion of the population doesn't hold this view? That it's socially acceptable to be an aggressor on women That is quite literally more egalitarian than this: Like in America it's shamed to even hit a women even if she is a aggressor. Dudes aren't murderin…

I said "most people" not "PPD users". Also I've seen people here claim that not disclosing that you only want a hookup is somehow "lying". So it wasn't clear to me what you meant.

Yeah he could, I've never seen it happen though. More common for women to get salty and accuse them of wrongdoing just because they didn't want a relationship.

On Reddit they certainly are. Every time a post involving a significant age gap comes up, all the women are overdosing on copium and saying shit like "he can't get women his own age" or "he only wants you to control you". Denying the fact that you're simply less physically attractive than young women doesn't make it go away.

and the point is a country with high femicide rates might imply a general distain and hatred for women? Then I wonder what the significantly higher numbers of male homicide victims say about attitudes towards men...... It's so incredibly ridiculous how a smaller disparity in homicide victimization between the sexes is treated as evidence of discrimination against women.

Just because you're salty that he didn't want a relationship doesn't mean he lied. It's not lying unless the guy tells her that he wants a relationship with her when he doesn't. In my personal experience that's never been the case when women get "pumped and dumped", although I'm sure it does happen.

I stated I’d challenge their ability to give consent much like if someone was drunk. It might not necessarily be a sexual assault but the consent is unclear and questionable If they're aware of what they're doing and willing then it is consensual. This is the ordinary definition of consent. With alcohol, sexual consent would only be called into question when someone is so drunk that their awareness of their surroundings or their consciousness is compromised. Secondly, paid labour operates with l…

There ability to consent is reduced as they are in poverty. If they are willing then it is consensual If someone’s choice is feeding themselves and their families or dating some random guy who they believe had money it’s pretty questionable whether consent has been established. Most people work to feed their families. By your logic most paid labor is nonconsensual.

Yes but.... Women are still FAR more interested in commitment than men There are strong social and cultural forces conditioning men to seek marriage and shaming men for not committing. There are strong social and cultural forces championing female promiscuity. In the absences of these forces, the disparities in attitudes between men and women would probably be even larger.

This current Korean feminist movement was sparked by a case where a man murdered a woman, because she was a woman, and many Korean men were more concerned with defending themselves rather than considering the cultural factors that led to the murder. Source? Most Korean feminists are not the “kill all men” type. They are just the ones that get the spotlight by Korean media. The dick shaming campaign was pretty mainstream. Lots of Korean MRA groups are known for promoting revenge porn and spy cams…

A preference doesn’t mean we allow you to act with no regard for morals. You need consenting partners and I’m challenging many women’s ability to consent in these relationships when the guy knows she has no money and no other choices. How would it be non-consensual?

It's definitely become a lot more common for guys since the sexual revolution. It's what nature intended "Nature" isn't conscious, how can "nature" have intentions?

The fantasy that most women are promiscuous with “Chad” is one of the lies that TRP and angry men perpetuate How would you know that they are lying?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/22 06:00 AM

That's not really a rebuttal. Even if promiscuous behavior doesn't cause infidelity, that's not relevant. The data still shows that less promiscuous women are less likely to cheat on you so if a guy is going to get married(which he shouldn't), picking a less promiscuous woman is the less bad option.

I’m mad at the strict rule That's just another way of saying "strong preference". but if they’re truly not attracted then I guess that’s the end of the argument. Yeah, you can't negotiate attraction. It doesn't matter what you think of short guys, or what short guys think of themselves. It only matters what the specific girl in question thinks.

I mean women like what they like, I don't see the point in getting mad about it.

I don’t buy it because not EVERY woman care The vast majority do, and they care a lot. Telling short guys to just find one that doesn't care is as realistic as telling a homeless guy to just win the lottery. but what I’m saying is I do not understand why this is the first thing so many women use to screen guys. My guess is big=powerful and powerful=can kill sabertooth or something along those lines. But why they prefer it is less important than the fact that they do prefer it.

Men are the ones claiming to be red pill and whining about how lonely and sexless they are. Red pill men are in this sub bitching that they get no bitches. Can you give a single example of someone with a red flair, or self-describing as RP, saying that they get no bitches? I have literally never seen it here. Guys often do, but they're always unflaired or have the blackpill flair. "RP" doesn't mean "anyone I disagree with". As the mods noted in their most recent pinned post, this sub has evolved…

And if you are too afraid to fail then don’t bother: you weren’t meant to be there anyways. I know several guys who have put a lot of effort into trying, and still failed because they lost the gen…

There's only so much that guys to do to improve. Race, face, and height are arguably the three most important factors to attraction. You can't change your race, and changing your facial structure or height through surgery is very expensive and carries risks.

Men are always on about how “all women” are high-n sluts Which men? If 80/20 is to be believed, it 💯 goes both ways. That's quite literally impossible. 80/20 means that bottom 80% of men are competing for the bottom 20% of women. I think it's an exaggeration but women are definitely much more selective than men are. There’s legit TONS of low-n and virgin women out there that y’all overlook cause they’re not pretty enough. Do men? Or are these women simply less available to men, as in they're les…
