Alternatively some have posited it was due to poverty, violence in the media. It’s a memorial to those lost but you can’t do that without acknowledging who committed those atrocities. This Canadian memorial is a monument to the victims of violence against women as opposed those killed by other women because there is a steep difference in those numbers in that area and the residents of that area felt it was something to address.	/r/MensRights	29/01/21 06:38 AM

In addition did you read the part about the Montreal massacre? Men should be encouraged not to murder women. Domestic abuse is half of all murders in my home state right now. Just because a monument erected to memorialize murdered women may also act as a means to discourage men to not murder women doesn’t mean that it’s encouraging women to murder men. -4	A lot of people (mainly LGTBQ+ women) seem to invalidate straight white males opinions on everyday matters simply because of their race, gender, etc. Are they invalidating your opinion in a political forum via censorship or taking away your right to vote? Or are they just "invalidating it" in a facebook thread or conversation at work? Cause the second one doesn't really matter, like at all. 1	Thoughts on r/MensLib post In looking at their resources and goals I think they know and admit it goes both ways. They list men’s health, fathering, child custody and violence against men as 4 of their top issues. You’re asking them to admit something that you won’t admit goes sharply in the other direction too. 1	1st story: the father was accused of domestic violence by the ex-wife. During visitation with his son, SWAT surrounded his house. Cops & media publically name & immediately charge with crimes with his son. 2nd story: woman hits & runs with potential harm to life, not so much To the first story: SWAT is specifically used for standoffs (or situations where someone will not come out of a building with bystanders inside). And as it stated he refused to come out and I’m guessing locked the doors with his son inside with him. Also no harm done to anyone is the goal of SWAT, so really that’s a good story to hear. To the second story: SWAT does not do car chases though, the cruisers will pursue, set up traps etc but it’s not really SWATs area chasing cars.	/r/MensRights	25/05/20 01:25 PM
