I don't see a good reason for seeking parity. If one year 99% of people who graduate are women, and the next year its say, 80% men, I don't see a problem; so long as each person who graduates deserved their spot over anyone else. It's completely arbitrary to treat gender as the thing with which to show populations of a certain degree/job role/title; just as it would be arbitrary to say "60% of graduates have brown hair, why are blondes so disadvantaged?"

It's only taking jobs from men if those men have those jobs because they are a man. If you consider gender to merely be an accidental aspect of the person hypothetically losing their job, then it's just one person taking a job from another. That is, so long as it is based on merit, women being raised up does not need to be seen as tearing men down. Only if women are raised up at the expense of men, because of the fact that they are women, is it a problem.
