Yeah, I imagined it from the girl's perspective, but I suppose it's not impossible for it to be a shitty thing a dude did.

I would have posted the video itself but I couldn't find a link to it outside of Facebook. And I hate being linked to Facebook and the dumb phone browser trying to make me log in instead of using the app. 😅

This sounds like a baby. For a few weeks, both my kids had witching hours around 7pm and they'd be near inconsolable until somewhere closer to 9 or 10. Otherwise, 4pm-930pm are like the ideal time to watch my kids. Feed them dinner. Watch a movie maybe. Both are in bed by 7, with the occasional fussing at the almost-5-year-old to get back in bed up to maybe 9pm. If I'm right, I really hope this mom is getting more than 5 hours of a break from dealing with a baby because that shit is exhausting. …

I love lever-action rifles. I never knew about Marlins though until I went researching just now. Although, it's more likely that I once knew more about her gun and have since forgotten. There's no way my Dad didn't tell me all about it. I tell my husband that someday, I'll drop $1500 on my Winchester though. 🤣

I wasn't so much interested in the female perspective as much as I was from the villain's perspective. It just so happened that Maleficent was female. But I'll look into them, thanks.

I'm almost mad about the auto-mod. I didn't get to read the whole trash response about "keeping my utter bullshit away from gay subs which..." 🤣 I remember learning about Annie Oakley as a kid from my Dad. I tend to forget about her until something like this pops up. I didn't go fact checking her quote but the original post was from the page from the National Women's History Museum.

The first huge fight I had with my ex after my first daughter was born was about six weeks in. I hadn't had any real sleep since the night she was born and asked him to watch her for a little bit so I could take a nap. I got pushback over it and had a breakdown. Man, if anyone would ever claim to have male PPD it would be that guy.

Side note natural family planning is a legit thing you can do without needing a religious reason for it. I don't have a problem if you do it for Christian reasons, but it's not just a hokey Christian thing to do, for anyone that's curious. If you use condoms primarily and still want an extra bit of security learning the NFP (if you can) stuff can give you that. Also it's just nice to understand your body. Ladies aren't educated about it at all. I'm pretty sure the first time I explained NFP stuf…

I think a lot of ladies in here have shitty doctors. I am also someone that has been pretty lucky with a Mirena. I did my own research for weeks before I delivered my second daughter and told my OBGYN my thoughts at my postpartum appointment. She was super nice and super helpful, she answered the couple of questions I had and we went with it six weeks later. Up until I brought it up myself, it was never a conversation anyone pushed me into. A year later I don't really have a period any more. I d…

I got accusatory emails from my ex mother-in-law about how I was a shitty mother and how I needed to be a real woman and "do the right thing" by coming back home after I left my abusive ex. The best part about this being that literally every time we spent any time with his parents they were screaming, fighting, manipulative, you name it to each other and to him. Real classy people. We dealt with the same thing. His depression and anxiety was all my fault. It was shit I was tired of dealing with …

I don't have much more to add outside of the sentiment of the meme really. Someone who is head over heels in love with you should be excited to hear from you. Especially if you're long distance and you can't share any physical intimacy. It only takes a few seconds to send a text. If you're not worth that tiniest bit of effort then let him walk.

This. <3 When my husband and I were long distance, we used to spend every little spare moment we could to send a message to the other person, even if we knew they were busy and wouldn't see it for a bit. If I was only available at night time, he'd be taking naps to make sure he could stay up and talk with me. Even if it wasn't a night off for me, he'd be available just in case I had a shitty night and wanted his support. Three years later, I still love seeing his texts at work. Even if it's craz…

I really liked Broadchurch when I first watched it a few years back, but I can never remember much about it aside from the husband who murders the kid. Reading your summary of season 3 makes me think I never saw that one at all, and it looks like that one aired recently enough that I probably missed it. I started watching it for David Tennant's involvement too, having previously only seen him as the tenth Doctor. I know I watched it all fairly quickly, most likely while up during the night with …

I've never met a guy like this, but I guess I've never gone out of my way to date a guy who specifically listed nerdy stuff as his interests. I've known a few women like this though, and reading your response made me irritable just thinking about them. It's like being in high school again and being a poser if you can't certifiably demonstrate 100% knowledge about something you appear to be interested in. I never realized how grateful I should be that I can enjoy tabletops and whatever else with …

I hope you have as much fun as I did. I loved leaving the laundry room door open without having to hear shit about it. Buying those crazy colorful kitchen knives that look like they're for kids. And picking out the new car after he took the shitty one he wanted with him. I didn't experience any of the grief others have mentioned in their comments, but I know that leaving was the hardest thing I ever did, despite knowing full well it was best! So congratulations on making that decision and making…

I can orgasm from penetration alone or from clitoral stimulation. I always figured they were two distinct things. Penetration related orgasms are always 100% more satisfying for one thing. Clitoral stimulation alone will work but it always feels like a temporary, surface level thing. But sure, orgasms from just penis in vagina sex are definitely rarer than if my husband decides to murder me with a little extra manual attention. Then I read the part where the article says most women who say this …

My ex wasn't anything like your husband. We were together about 3 and a half years when I finished my first degree. Around that time he lost his job, but I was about to be making way more money than he had been, so no big deal. Except then I had delay in being able to obtain my licensure after I graduted, which made it harder to find a job. I worked retail for a year before I was able to find a job in my specialty. Even in retail, I was making more money than he had been while I was in school. B…

I mean. Unhappiness is a good enough reason to leave. If that means one thing to you and another thing to him then it's going to be difficult. Unhappiness doesn't need to be the result of abuse for it to be a valid feeling. With my ex, I started feeling like I'd spent 10 years growing up and making plans and deciding what I wanted out of life while he stayed exactly the same and never wanted to put any effort into anything whether it was school, jobs, family, whatever. I'm glad you're talking to…

Yeah, from the outside it can also just sound like you've been together for a while and things have just gotten dull. I think your concerns that you don't feel that you love him like you should probably need to be brought to his attention at the very least. Maybe with a therapist? I started talking again with an old friend. We'd known each other for ages but never really connected any deeper than casual conversations. For a variety of reasons we both had a lot of free time around the same time a…

I settled into a relationship with the wrong person for about 10 years. I was young and never paid much attention to before the start so I had 0 relationship experience. I was happy at first and thought I was in love. I went to college and was starting my career while he just stagnated. Years in, some pretty big lies came out, but it was always easier for me to stick around than to completely uproot my entire adult life. I stayed around long enough for it to become abusive. The longer I've been …

I hope you can still enjoy being friends with her after this. I tried this ages ago with a former best friend and she couldn't deal with it. I tried to put some distance between us for a while and when that didn't work I eventually ghosted her before ghosting was a thing everyone was always talking about. She went crazy and started trying to get my college roommate to sneak her into our dorm while I was out and other assorted nonsense. She ended up marrying a super sweet guy we went to high scho…

Like someone else said, I wouldn't worry about it until you're closer to making that commitment. I was with my ex for a ridiculously stupid period of time, a relationship that was essentially sexually dead. Most times, I felt like I had to put some serious effort into earning attention. He never wanted to try anything new, and if we did and it didn't go 100% perfect the first time we never tried again. I always felt like a chore and when I did manage to get him to follow through, 90% of the time…

I don't think everyone is enamoured with 10,000 dollar rings. And I think that's okay. Plenty of members here have commented here in the past that, despite its importance, a HVM is not 100% about what finances he can bring to the table. I am definitely a more practical person who would prefer to use 10,000 of my own dollars towards something like paying off my college loans. That said, I will never not be in love with ring my husband bought me. He knew that a fancy ring was never something that …

If I can wear a fancy diamond engagement ring with a pretty high profile and not have an issue with gloves, this dude can handle wearing a men's wedding band.

I feel like I need to add that the regular threat of assault is always there in the hospital too, you don't need to just be in the ER or a jail. Withdrawing alcoholics and delerious dementia patients are commonplace. Bedside nursing sucks enough that there is constantly a shortage everywhere you go, despite the constant number of new graduates every year. It's pretty much a requirement to find someone who is going to treat you well, even if you're still the better earner, just to be able to cope…

All y'all just rolling over and going to sleep must live in some mythical wonderland. If I'm thoroughly satisfied enough to be exhausted, I'm usually also a mess. Definitely no falling asleep that way unless I want to wake up later chafy and disgusting. 🤣
