Grandparents commit horrible atrocities to families, simply to satisfy their wants/desires/beliefs. I don't understand how you can say this. One complaint from someone who was circumcised that actually went forward. One person who was rejected from a religion because of circumcision. 0	Growing up with a feminist mother... For a guy who can't spell separation, you use some big mean words. The fist amendment doesn't guarantee any of those things. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." Making circumcision illegal would violate that. Furthermore, if it violates the first amendment, why hasn't it been challenged in court? Perhaps because no one who has ever been circumcised has resented it? 1	Growing up with a feminist mother... You can talk about allegories all you want; pretend we lived in Our Town and women "voted via proxy." But it's extremely naive and rewriting history to pretend that women have not suffered an inordinate amount when compared to men. 1	Growing up with a feminist mother... There's a difference between rhetoric and cold hard facts. In the past, legal decisions were made for women by either their fathers or husbands. Even though, yes, there were exceptions to this rule, it was still a rule, and that's patriarchy. They weren't allowed to ask for divorce, and it was much more difficult for a woman to get a job with a living wage then for a man to so they couldn't just get up and leave.
