Understandable. I’ve been dating my girl for about 3.5 years and it’s been real smooth. I told her “you’re my gf or you’re not - what do you wanna do”. If you set the tone And find a woman that respects you, she’ll keep letting you be the man with her as the woman. One day at a time.

Fr I think some of these guys act too rigid. If you know she likes you and you like her take the lead and set the rules and boundaries - simple as that.

We all take losses from here and there - some small and some large. Gotta take a few weeks to let the dust clear so you can learn from it. I’m not sure how this guy goes 2-0 up on you like he’s your arch nemesis, but it’s not even worth your time at this rate. Channel that pain into something palpable and productive and with the right mindset you’ll look back on this as a painful blessing in disguise.

Seen this happen firsthand. Some beyond crazy plate I was spinning a few months ago had (after multiple instances) told me she had a bf and was basically cheating on her with me. I did some prodding to see why and it turns out he’s got a bank account shared with this chick. Then everything made perfect sense. Don’t be that guy. Never be financially tied to a female you’re not married to guys.

Needless to say, I was so fixated on making someone better. That and I was pretty pussywhipped. Rookie mistakes up the wazoo, Chief.

With this in mind, it’s really important to make sure you try to keep away from fixer-upper types that may have lots of “potential”. I made that mistake with my ex, because I had ignored red flags including but not limited to: “abusive” exes, noticeable self confidence issues, problems with her parents, et al. You get the image. Now I consider myself a well to do lad, I’m academically achieved, relatively funny, approachable, and in good shape. For all intents and purposes, I had brought this gi…

You gotta start somewhere, my son. You’re doing well for first steps, just remember the little victories and repeat it like a mantra. Eventually talking to other girls come natural to you, and you’ll be more than comfy talking to them, as of now, keep up the good work. Always good when someone makes a decision for them self and tries to overcome a crutch of theirs. Keep it up my dude!

So would this rule spread across all entertainment? Because if so would the argument be made that networking/social media platforms like Reddit work in that way of feeding into a lie we want to believe? Just an honest question, not making a dig at the post.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
