They’re not trying to help in their own way, they’re trying to help the right way smh. They’re being pretty blunt about it, but it’s not bad advice.

She still is under the impression that there’s a chance you still love her. That’s just a dick move. Not saying you have to fly off the handle and move out or tell her to move out or do anything rash, but come on bro…

Rip the band aid off and quit sludging the process along. Not good for anybody

Same. It’s a shame because I actually think it looks really cool. Not a jewelry guy, but I think it’s a pretty cool little ring. Maybe I can pull a George Costanza with it and try a “social experiment ”.

Ah gotcha. I’m glad to hear you didn’t overindulge ! Lol I was thinking maybe you spent like a couple G’s or more. I mean more power to you if so, I was just gonna say oof lol

What did you spend on it originally? Don’t tell me more than $1k or so?

It’s sitting in a drawer as we speak, almost 7 years later. It’s not worth even $20. It was like $600, but it’s not worth shit to resell. tungsten carbide I believe.

You’re right. The problem is that it’s nearly impossible to know if they’re truly trustworthy until it’s too late usually. So it’s just a gamble, one that after being burned too many times, becomes hard to take. Let me also say that this isn’t just a woman thing. I think it’s more of a human thing. I don’t want to come off as prejudiced.

This lady is unhealthy as hell and you need to get out asap. It sucks ass, but she will just burn you until you have no money or energy left anymore. This lady doesn’t do the things that you said if she loved you. I’m sorry, but that isn’t love. She is using you for all she can

If your wife doesn’t love you anymore bro….. I fear that you’re well beyond reconciliation. Would love to be wrong but….. I mean… it takes a lot for a woman to tell her husband she no longer loves him. That’s not a decision she made overnight. Either she or you changed a lot (for better or for worse) or, more likely, she found someone else. Best of luck bro, just keeping it real.

If you leave your child and think it’s the right thing to do, and paying child support wipes your hands clean, then you are the definition of a piece of shit.

Bro wants help but doesn’t want to give any details, just wants to throw conspiracies around and see what sticks. Makes sense

He lost way before the trial started. This was just a small victory after the fact.

While I don’t condone it, I’m not saying that to judge you. I’m just saying that it’s not going to help your situation and you have a rough uphill battle to deal with. Best of luck

I used my own money at the time and I was young so it was a big deal for my wallet. So getting back a big chunk of that was a tiny little victory, that was nice.

Was well worth it for me. I got $600 for it instead of her.

It probably is unlikely, however as unlikely as it always seems, (as others have said) women almost never leave without a plan (another man to cultivate their needs)

I’m not buying that. If someone can’t feed their child, shelter it, clothe it, etc. I have a hard time believing that a developed country doesn’t find that to be child abuse or neglect. But instead you just slide away leaving her everything, including the kid, and now she has the upper hand. I just feel like it could’ve been handled better in your favor... good luck though man.

If she can’t fend for your sons basic needs then she doesn’t have any right to have the child AT ALL. Doesn’t mean it’s smart to just enable her by handing everything over to her. Get full custody

Why would you let such an evil person “keep everything” though?

It's a person that you loved more than any other person in the world for a long period of time... you have shared many intiment and personal experiences together.. she was your rock... believe me when I tell you this, it never goes away. Even when you genuinely don't like that person anymore/ who they've become, you're still going to get flooded with emotions and memories of them, and unfortunately, it's only the good memories that you remember. It just shows how much you loved her, and sadly, s…

Thank you all for the replies so far. I can see where the popular opinion lies. Lol. I don’t disagree with any of it for the most part
