For me the hardest part was that regardless of my circumstance they demanded the money. Lose your job or get sick NFs given they still demand that after tax money. Get behind and your passport gets revoked and you might lose your driver's license and tax refunds. It was the constant absolute demand under the threat of severe repercussions with no sympathy or care. It was like I had a bleeding wound that would never heal. Make more money and they take more but never less. It was brutal because it…

Sounds like you might have the "curse of competence" there. Who is going to get the shit done that you get done if you move? They've probably thought about it and discussed it when seeing your applications and queries.

From https://www.digitaltrends.com/movies/indiana-jones-5-movie-news-cast-trailer-rumors/ As for who will pick up the fedora after Ford, Spielberg said it’s time the character took “a different form,” and expressed a willingness to cast a female lead in the title role. “We’d have to change the name from ‘Jones’ to ‘Joan,'” he joked. “And there would be nothing wrong with that.”

Looks like they got to the new Star Trek series too based on the trailers and previews. People are already calling it the U.S.S. Diversity instead of Discovery. I've watched all of the Star Trek movies and series but I'll have to skip this one. Barely made it through Voyager until they got 7 of 9 then there was a reason to deal with the garbage.

One of the first things they do when you get behind on payments is revoke your passport. Also if you continue to be behind they revoke your professional licences so you can't practice law or whatever and your drivers license. They really put the screws to you making life miserable.

I am also from IL and I can attest to the ineptitude and the complete lack of anything resembling empathy. Another weird thing that you may encounter as I did is that while you are paying it's almost impossible to get information and they treat you like crap. But once you "obligations" are finally and actually over they get really nice and will give you very detailed information. They even ask you to participate in rating their "services" in questionnaires. It's like they start considering you i…

According to Wiki even though he was current the Texas legislature made jailing him legal. It seems to me clearly punitive on the judges part. An article by RawStory.com pointed to legislative move that allowed the sentence, even though Hall was paid up. In June of 2013, the Texas Legislature repealed a 1995 law which prohibited judges from finding someone in contempt for owing child support if that person paid what was owed before the court hearing. The vote to repeal this law was unanimous in …

I called and asked for a current balance and also asked where this current $439.18 came from. I was told that the CPS sent a notice to my place of employment cancelling the wage garnishment and that the $439.18 was scheduled to be refunded. Relying on the CPS website apparently is not a reliable method of knowing where you stand with the CPS.

So the lies and insanity continue. The CPS website balance has changed as follows with the balance dropping dropping dropping and then somehow they just keep adding more to the amount demanded even though ALL payments are made on time. It's like they just won't let me go. $557.75 as of 03/12/2014 $225.44 as of 03/26/2014 $-106.87 as of 04/07/2014 $-162.25 as of 04/22/2014 $0.00 as of 05/08/2014 $439.18 as of 05/12/2014

I went through it too brother. It took all I had to make it through a quite similar mess of not knowing when and if my next meal was going to be. I had bills and credit balances rising like a mountain ready to fall on me for years. I had fillings fall out of my teeth but I couldn't afford a dentist. My eye glasses broke and I had to use a pair from years ago with scratches and having a wrong prescription for years because I couldn't afford the eye doctor. Today I received an email from my accounting department that they received notice from the IL child support agency that the support amount should be reduced to $55 per pay period from $360. This didn't make any sense since according to the the CSA there is a credit balance in my favor on the account. I checked the web site balance and saw that they think there is a interest due balance of $160 because they failed to take into consideration that there is a negative principle balance. I called and…

Current support has been over for about a year. All interest has been paid and they took more money than is allowed. Their web site had this gem in all red letters: "Your account balance reflects a credit balance. However, based on the charging cycle of your support order this may not be a true credit balance. The credit balance cannot be applied to future current support payments as the department does not have the ability to stop current support nor does the department have the ability to refu…

According to the two state agencies the final wage garnishment payment made this coming Friday will be the last, at least according to the amounts listed. The amounts listed are less than the "normal" monthly monetary flogging. Now to see if they actually get out of my life like they are supposed to.

So far I've gotten completely ignored by the IL Auditor Generals office and also completely ignored by Congressman Peter Roskam in my requests for assistance in dealing with this issue.

These are the legalities that are supposed to be followed: http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/css/resource/federal-income-tax-refund-offset-administrative-offset-passport-denial Making it clear that proper notifications are not being sent, timelines are being ignored as well as many other improprieties.

This has gone from crazy to insane. Now the state that had a zero balance on the account added a new federal intercept for $2218. The state that had the $2550 balance has the new balance at $557. These agencies are supposed to be looking at the same books but seem to be just harassing and making things up as they go. This means that $1661+$2218 is now unaccounted for. This just keeps getting worse.

The state in which I live contacted the state where the ex lives and now their monetary demands are equal. So this means that even though they stated that it is against federal law to use tax intercepts to pay down interest only balances, they did exactly that anyhow. This works to my benefits but I'm going to try to get a lead on who to inform that this federal crime was committed and inform them anyhow.

The state in which I live is continuing to garnish my wages and send it to the state where my Ex lives only to have that state see that my obligations have been met and they mail me a check every two weeks. These agencies are inept.

For months there has been an "interest only" balance on the account, meaning that any past due was paid other than interest they tacked on. Each month the HFS office continues to take the same amount of money out of my paycheck until this "interest only" amount is paid off. This is an interstate case so each Web site has adjusted the remaining amount accordingly, until now. The entire amount that was being garnished was applied to the "interest only" in both states. The state where my Ex exists …

I am going to write letters to my Senators and Congressman asking them to consider looking into the idea that the States are asking for money that they aren't legally allowed to use. This is creating a hardship not only on me but the Federal government also. The Feds hopefully have better things to do and better ways to spend money besides jumping through hoops at the behest of states quasi-legally. My hopes are that they recognize their self interest and push some policy change.

The state Child Support Agency agency gets a federal kick back for the money they collect in child support so they take every bit that is legally enforceable. Imagine asking the IRS to take a little less than they are legally allowed to, won't happen. They take because they can.

Often when there are arrears they dock your wages directly and your passport is cancelled in addition to intercepting any IRS tax refunds. So you get to pay the taxes, she gets the after tax wages and you don't get to travel. So escaping to another country is much harder than packing some stuff and boarding a plane since your ability to keep the money you earn is intercepted and your credentials to travel are withheld. EDIT: And they charge interest at >= 9% on the money that you are unable to p…

Today my child is emancipated. She graduated highschool a month ago, turns 18 in July and is not disabled. Over the years when I got a piece of mail from the child support agency it actually made me sick to my stomach because it was always bad news telling me that I'm paying more now. But as of late the mail tells me that her emancipation date is approaching and it's like a light at the end of a very dark tunnel. I have an issue where her mother decided to move without telling me for ten months …
