I think keeping your distance is a huge part of this. Approach them and be friendly but getting too close is always uncomfortable.

It really really depends on how you approach them. Most people will hold a friendly conversation. But because of the common occurrences of sudden aggression from creeps, women might be more on edge with men approaching them. Keep it soft and friendly, make sure not to get too close or reach for them suddenly, and it should go well! :)

It’s simply the way you approach and talk to them.
