This is true, but his point was that as men we are able to regulate that. If all men would only marry virgins, the women are motivated to not be as promiscuous. I'm not promoting for women to be virgins as they would suck at sex, I'm just saying the reason why it is so bad in 2020 is because our standards have fallen and we(men as a whole) ultimately allowed it.
