Well for one I am a psychology major, and the mental workings of rapists can vary massively. He could easily be seeking forced intimate interactions with the delusion of it being real. From the point of someone who has never had children I could see how you believe there is no upside to having children. I can't say the same for being married but 99.9% of the time the love you develop for you children is greater than any love for a women and the joy you get from raising them (the majority of the time. yes there are exceptions to everything) will trump any cons it creates.
