I'm trying not to rant about it anymore. Ex got violent over the last year we were together. I tried to get help. Then she fucked me, changed the locks, stole all our money, filed a dv divorce filing based on lies which later got thrown out. Ruined my life, haven't seen my kid in 4 years. I endured a year of slapping, throwing dishes and cast iron pans, daily screaming while trying desperately to make her happy again. She just lied and took everything

I was painted as emotionally unstable in family court because I had been crying over the few days before my ex and I decided to split. And had my visitation rights slashed later for crying the first time I saw my child after months without her. Fuck me, right?

More or less I'm poor af and she's not asking for child support or giving me any access or communication with my kid. I'm not going to discuss my plans other to say that I'm working hard to solve it. Got some great friends and a lot of support. But as I've said elsewhere, I think the value in discussing it in this sub is that my experience so exemplifies so many of the hypotheticals you see here. Bizarrely I discovered this sub before things went south in my marriage and was like..."hey no...the…

Nope. She didn't care when things were fine. She demanded it and since I was broke and had no lawyer and she did she got what she wanted...as near as I understand the process. Still broke. Trying to rebuild and not be so someday I can go back after my custody rights.

There is no federal law that makes having thc in your bloodstream criminal. Nor was I arrested. This was using the contents of my urine to take my custody away. Show me the statue that says someone who smokes pot can't be a parent. If that's the precedent you want to set I think you will have idk...20 million or more American parents that are "unfit" by the criteria you're selecting. Given the number who do far far worse and are allowed to be parents I find that unlikely to be a broadly applicab…

Oh and just for the record, I think my case is textbook for a lot of the issues discussed on this sub so I'm not so much interested in venting or finding sympathy as I am explaining what happened as a case study of sorts.

You're leaping to a lot of conclusions. I was completely calm and rational dealing with the officer in question who came at me screaming, purple faced and rearing to go. Had he not been in front of a bunch of other officers who were calm he probably would have done worse.

No money. This was two years ago. Now I'm just trying to get back on my feet and survive and eventually take her back to court.

It's better but was debilitating. She never said I hit her...she claimed i once kicked her and admitted in court it was when I climbed over her in bed and bumped her with my knee. The first judge dismissed all dv claims after that so she filed a change of venue and got a more aggressive judge who normally does criminal court cases.

Family believes her and completely cut me off without talking to me. They always liked her more than me.

No charge. She demanded I be tested for drugs knowning I was a legal mj patient and the judge said he didn't care if it was legal.

Oh no...she did her best crying victim act and our local pd at the time was notoriously trigger happy. I have no doubt she was trying to get me killed. One particular officer told me to "give him an excuse."

It's illegal to discriminate based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion or national origin. Some states extend protected status to sexual orientation. But it's difficult to prove that the reason you were fired or not hired was because of this.

All female workplace. I was marketing and communications manager for a nonprofit with a staff of 11. I did social media, desktop publishing, graphic design, web, light IT, anything to do with marketing. The new black female ceo came in and harassed me about everything she could take issue with like being "intimidating" because I'm tall. After three years of exemplary performance under the previous ceo they eventually fired me for leaving work 15 minutes early and called it "job abandonment" and …

Don't become public enemy number one for sjws by playing devil's advocate. I can't really say which misfortunes that befell me subsequently were directly related and which were coincidence but I'm 100% sure at least some were. Apparently, as I was told at one point, I was being taught a lesson in what white privilege is. What sucks is I was barely surviving living check to check trying to support my family when it all started. Now I'm divorced and living in abject poverty and as I confirmed toda…

Yeah well I haven't had one in a long time and thanks to all their other shenanigans I'm not in the position to afford all the licensing and shit. I'm looking for jobs and being real quiet about where I apply. I think I'm even going to keep where I work secret from my friends and roommate if I can.

Nah bro. Thanks. I'd have to go get my foid card and like I say it's idle threats and harassment that are the problem and unfortunately you can't shoot someone for anonymously calling your employer and talking shit or slashing your tires in the middle of the night. I've been told I'm being "taught a lesson" about my "cis white male privilege." I haven't had a death threat in a while but those stopped when I started reporting them to the police and putting individuals on blast for them. Unless yo…

Unfortunately I'm too privileged to afford a gun. I'm less concerned with being physically attacked by a bunch of pussy bitches like they are but I can't afford to replace another set of tires or to lose my job again because they found out where I worked and harassed my boss talking shit.

I can't wait for a decade or so to go by to see if any of this actually turns into more women in engineering. It will be hilarious if after all they've done women are still majoring in english and women's studies and complaining there aren't enough female engineers.

Yeah, except that these guys after a little digging turned out to be connected to other crews in at least half a dozen cities. It was a jigsaw puzzle to put together but I ran into girls who were just ordinary people months before turning tricks in other cities and some of the ringleaders also popped up. My first run in with these scumbags was in Sacramento but they had friends or affiliates or whatever in Oakland, SF, Bakersfield, LA and Las Vegas...and that's just as far as I dug before I had …

Read what I just wrote in response to the cognitive dissonance created when I said rape is most definitely much more common than reported for women and men. And while it happened under different circumstances, I was myself raped at knifepoint by a woman as well. Denying that rapes happen frequently has nothing to do with advocating for men's rights including protection from abuse from false rape accusations. Women get legitimately raped all the time and what I saw was evidence of this being some…

Ya know, I'm right sick of people telling me it's my fault when someone I meet turns out to be a scumbag or when someplace I go turns out not to be safe. The place in question was a local nightclub and between the female bartender dosing drinks and steering drugged women, and men, to a little rape den these assholes had going about four women I knew or knew of were raped over the course of a few days. That's the time between when the first happened I was aware of and when I figured out what the …

Hate to break it to ya, but I'm a clean shaven, normal looking 36 year old, not obese, college graduate. I got into the mr movement because of my experiences with an abusive spouse who managed to play out the mr nightmare wife scenario to a tee. But nice try trying to stereotype and dismiss me.

Actually, she's married and approached me for friendship after we hadn't spoken for many years. We were roommates about 18 years ago. Funny thing, after this went down with the other woman my "friend" unburdened herself to me that she had feelings for me and I told her that I did not, but that I enjoyed her friendship. Within days she started harassing me by text about how I wasn't raped and how I scare her, and completely denies having expressed feelings for me and even called me delusional whe…

Oh the actual assault was a couple years ago and a couple thousand miles away. I'd be very hard pressed to prove anything. But I agree, my "friend" lost her right to my friendship.

Yeah, I kept repeating myself on this point. Being a friend means being able to talk about past traumas and not be attacked for them. The general impression I got is that she was willing to forget it all and be my friend again if I would admit it wasn't rape. Nah, fuck off.

I did, a week ago. Deleted her number, our text conversation, blocked her on fb. She just texted me again to rehash and reiterate that I wasn't raped. I told her her attitude was disgusting and insensitive and I didn't need or want a "friend" like her. Oh, and part of her logic for why I am "scary" is that she was raped and she doesn't talk about it. So yeah, that's healthy.

A strong woman is apparently one who demands a man to go out and be more successful for her. Instead of say, being successful herself.
