I have read that becoming a father triggers a response to reduce testosterone which in turn will reduce risk taking behaviour. This year I took a year off from heavy lifting and did mma instead. I've gotten leaner, fitter, more confident and I've learnt a tonne about what I am capable of and how hard I can push myself without giving up.
