For having casual sex?

Agreed

That's very true. Women can do whatever they want in the US. They can get good jobs and be very successful. Or if they want to be stay at home moms, there's certainly nothing wrong with that either. But if the wife works and the husband does not, that man will generally be judged negatively for it.

No, because the negativity doesn't impede the access to casual sex Very true. No slut shaming is going to happen in environments that enable casual sex. As for the negativity, I was referring more to situations outside of the environments where the hookup begins or takes place. For instance, how a woman's family, friends, co workers, acquaintances will view her sexual activities vs how a man is viewed for his.

How do men get beaten by their partners more? Violence leads to more violence leads to murder - so if men were getting beaten more, it would follow that more men than women would be killed by their partner. If the statement of men getting beaten more is true, I would assume these beatings they receive are much less severe than the beatings that women get. I would think that not many men would report a beating. I dated a girl who used to hit me, and it put me in a very uncomfortable position. I d…

That is true that it is much easier for women to have casual sex, and for those women who want it, they can choose their partners more easily than men. Before I was married, as a shy guy, I could never handle the pressure of approaching or initiating sexual contact with a woman if I wasn't dating her. My wife said that as a woman who wanted casual sex, it was very easy for her to get laid when she was single, particularly in college. There is however more negativity that women experience in soci…

Interesting. Why do you think women have it better than men when it comes to casual sex?

You mentioned that you come from a wealthy family. Couldn't that have more to due with your brother not being jailed than the the fact that he is white?

Number 1 to me is not really slut shaming because it says that there is just a higher probability of cheating, and not claiming all promiscuous women will cheat in a marriage. I think number 2 is definitely slut shaming and a pretty brutal comment. To imply that any and all women who have had casual sex in the past will make bad partners now (while disregarding their current behavior) is cruel and very judgmental. Nothing wrong at all with number 3 as that is anyone's right to want to be with so…

But that doesn't mean that every cock she has ruins her a little bit. You can't judge her by the number alone if you don't know her story. So true. You can't judge a person just based off of their number of partners without knowing more about them and why they may have had a high partner count. I personally never had any promiscuous sex. It's just not something I'm comfortable with and never had any desire for. My wife though had a lot of promiscuous sex and a high number of partners. In her ear…

Yeah, I agree with this. I had less attractive friends who were not as nice, and often disrespectful to women, get more girls than me. And I'm sure it's because I am laidback and quiet and probably too nice.

I think many promiscuous women can be mentally ill, but that most certainly isn't always the case. My wife was very promiscuous before we met and she is the most stable woman I dated: very happy, smart, confident, caring, and honest. She never used sex to boost her self esteem or for attention. She just enjoyed casual sex and not needing a steady boyfriend for a period in her life.

I would say these two separate categories of promiscuous women are very accurate. Number 1 can be a more strong and confident woman who is just wild about sex, and number 2 definitely being more on the unstable side.

That is a good point. My wife very openly admitted her past promiscuity to me without me even asking about her dating/sex history. Even though other guys had a problem with her past and slut-shamed her, she still was very honest with me about her promiscuity and never tried to down play it or hide it from me. I really respected that and felt she was trustworthy. The idea behind women with a high number of sexual partners being more likely to cheat is based on the observation that a person that h…

It depends on the person. I think it's unfair that often all women with a high number of sexual partners get labeled as 'sluts' as there can be different factors in why women sleep around. But yes, I do think that usually a promiscuous woman may indeed be more likely to cheat in a long term relationship. But just sexual history alone should not be used to judge a woman's character. I've been cheated on by a girl who was a virgin before me so I know it can go the other way too. My wife was very p…

I've never understood why so many men care about whether their partner was promiscuous before in her past. Insecurity that maybe she's had better, or an irrational fear of her cheating just because she's been with a lot of men casually are the only reasons I can figure. To me, as long as a woman is faithful in a relationship, then her past sex life shouldn't matter. I myself am not comfortable with the idea of having casual sex with anyone. I've only had a few partners, and all were in loving re…
