You could have a convicted kiddie fiddler living next door and you'd never know. It's just another measure to protect the criminals of what will surely happen (ostracised from society) instead of protecting the public from what might happen. | – | Woman, with previous sentence for theft, found distributing child pornography walksIn Australia, all Child Sex Offenders have their names omitted from the record to prevent lynching and to preserve the privacy of the child. This applies to both men and women. Several notable radio presenters such as Derryn Hinch intentionally ignore this law and broadcast the names (and have gone to prison for it) anyway. | /r/MensRights | 24/03/15 10:46 PM |
| – | Woman, with previous sentence for theft, found distributing child pornography walksNo, Australian law doesn't take priors into consideration in determining guilt but previous sentences, ESPECIALLY convictions, are taken into account for sentencing | /r/MensRights | 24/03/15 10:36 PM |
